- The Alabama Crimson Tide opened the season with a win over the Miami Hurricanes, 44-13. Taking over for Mac Jones, Bryce Young delivered with 344 yards and 4 touchdowns. Miami’s offense struggled to get going against a swarming Alabama defense, with a D’Eriq King to Xavier Restrepo TD being the sole touchdown on the day.

If you really want to be truthful! We did look like a high school football team compared to Alabama! Especially on the defensive side! Both of our starting linebackers were 5'10 maybe 5'11. And one of those guys played safety last year! So that tells us that recruiting is a key part to the lost along with discipline of tackling! I have never seen so much damn arm tackling in my life!😤😤😤 Personally we deserved that Ass whooping because more worried about a damn chain than winning! Take all of them chains and pawned them for somebody that can block or make a damn tackle!
@@whouwit7448 BAMA is a LARGE team. Saban has always liked it that way- does not matter who the opponent is either. Even look at the OSU NC game closely and you will see some differences in the lines of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Tell your QB to shut that mouth when you are addressing BAMA prior to a GAME: Going to beat Bama Bad he said. Wrong thing to say to those big guys. Bet he is SORE today.

*Here's my unbiased opinion on this game:*
1. I don't understand how so many folks who never played or coached a high level snap of football in their life can criticize anyone like your take is credible, the score doesn't dictate what really happened in this game. As someone who isn't "ball watching" after breaking down film there was alot of mistakes on both sides...it's just the one who makes more mistakes usually loses.
2. Bama is undoubtedly been the best team since Saban came in 2007, this team is a product of coaching point blank. Let's not forget many seasons before that bama didn't win more than 8 games. An established culture was laid and bottom line kids are going to flock to were folks are winning and if schools could retain their homegrown talent in recruiting bama would be destroyed regularly. There best players are largely from Florida, Louisiana & Texas. That's something that's built overtime so hats off to Saban and his staff and however many years he has left. We will see once he's gone though how many roll tides we still see.
3. Miami has great talent but made a lot of mental errors and lacked effort above all this game...everyone wants the glory cane days but those were a once in a lifetime groups of talent. It's not going to happen again. You can't beat basically the 33rd NFL team with turnovers, not winning the line of scrimmage, allowing over 100yds rushing, more turnovers and missing assignments.
4. Miami showed poor technique, didn't trust their keys, had bad pursuit angles, lack of effort, poor hat placement, eyes too much in the backfield, no communication on D, not wrapping up and above all not having belief and swagger. I also think it's time to retire the turnover chain until it's earned.
That being said I look forward to the rest of the season, a lot can be corrected and a lot can happen between now and January.
Preditor you said some things that make sense but you also incenuated like alot of ppl especially haters that after SABAN BAMAs done, true we had bad years especially from the late'90s till the early 00s, but do you know BAMAs history we've won one or more championships in every decade since the 1920s except for the'50s and'80s two or three some decades, we have an elite history its not New, we've got many records before SABAN most bowl wins, most Nationally televised college football team, most Nattys in the pole era and SABAN is adding to all that we've been elite for the better part of the last 💯 years with only a few down years, we have 35 ten win seasons maybe more far more than anyone in short BAMA is the most prestigious team in college football I can't list all the NCAA records but if we get down we always get back to winning championships and beginning new dynasties we're the best there is at it, try to name a better more prestigious college football program we are the best of the best Bluebloods, you better think again I doubt we'll be done after SABAN but he is definitely the GOAT and nobody not even BAMA will likely ever accomplish what he has at BAMA but we won't be finished, ROLL TIDE ROLL

Why are all these Miami fans so distraught? Every team that ever plays Alabama in the opener loses. Miami has nothing to worry about right now, they just have to keep playing hard and learn.
I don’t know who your team is but losing is not acceptable at Miami. Florida State, Georgia Tech, Duke, North Carolina… they would be satisfied with a blowout loss against Alabama in week 1 but teams like Miami who have actually witnessed greatness don’t like losing. Even though Miami got blown out they did look like a good team , in the ACC they should be very good and atleast go to the ACC Championship game . If Miami fans stop complaining about the players that they don't have that are on other teams maybe their players will play with more confidence.

What I’m gonna do is justify that game. I’m gonna be the one to say it. We were not ready for Alabama. This is also the very first game of the season as well to. What we can do is learn from this game and get ready for next week. There’s nothing else that we can really do to be honest with you. Alabama outperformed us. That’s it. Take this game learn from it go into next weeks game ready to play and put this game behind us focus on the rest of the season and not dwell on a game that meant nothing to us anyway.
Roll Tide! I will say at least Miami had the courage to play us in a game instead of saying we want Bama like UCF or some of these other teams do and then being chicken shits and backing out. Also remember most of our players at Bama are gonna be playing on Sundays in the NFL next year.

Most of the elite talent in South Florida in recent years went to FSU. Nobody wanted to play under Mark Richt when he was calling the offense. Book’s still open on Manny. I like him and I hope he can get it together. But the clock is ticking. Man I just look at all the talent that’s come out this area in recent years and it makes my head hurt. Teddy Bridgewater, Amari Cooper, the Bosa brothers, Devonta Freeman, Dalvin Cook… imagine if we could’ve kept those kids home.
