- The Florida State Seminoles used a go-ahead touchdown with under a minute remaining to topple rival Miami, 31-28 in ACC football action. Seminoles quarterback Jordan Travis threw for 274 yards and rushed for 62 yards and 2 touchdowns, including the game-winning touchdown. Jashaun Corbin rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown in the win. Miami quarterback Tyler Van Dyke threw for 316 yards and 4 touchdowns in defeat.

Just realized Jermaine Johnson came all the way from the other side of the field to help out on the biggest stop of the game. Man I wish we had him for another year, dude is incredible. Probably another defensive lineman of the week award

Most impressive part of that play is the angle he takes. There is a subtle little adjustment right before he hits Mallory to make sure that the momentum Jermaine adds doesn’t force Mallory towards the line to gain. How many times do we see the tackler help the guy get the first down on the hit? Heady stuff from a super talented guy. Maybe the best Transfer FSU has EVER had, certainly one of the best transfers in all of college football. Not to mention he might be the fifth or sixth best DE to ever wear garnet or gold.

I was so mad at Parchment earlier for giving up on his route and giving up a for sure TD. But he redeemed himself in my eyes, and probably everyone’s eyes, when he converted that 4th and 14.

From the turnovers, the flags, being down early, just to give up a 60 yrd catch and 4th and 14…the only thing I can say is the Canes didn’t quit and it was a hell of a finish. Can’t even say I’m surprised at the outcome cuz the team constantly plays down to teams and gives them life.
