During my tenure, we were not in possession of any state-of-the-art armored military vehicles. We possessed rectangular pieces of wood. Two rectangular pieces of wood and a pebble. And we had to partake in equally distributing the pebble.
The issue is after falling he was unconscious, and in Infinite scenario at this point wouldn’t be good to stay unconscious on the ring after blowing up the spire.

It is a wonderful cutscene that makes you understand each character and come to love their interactions.
I would say Echo is the one who's just 120% done with the situation, with his "Oh come on!" when Chief jumps. And I wonder what kind of past situation taught Chief to do the 'jump of the building because there's no time till it explodes' maneuver.
@@anxiousearth680 Given his training I believe that he has practiced HALO jumping and is simply using the techniques he learned from that maneuver. Also, he has used his flying brick skills before after giving the Covenant back their bomb. Besides, this is Master Chief John 117 who has come acrossed several situations like this one, I'm sure that hasn't been his first time. If you can think of other examples let me know.
@horriblepancake exactly my sentiment! While I felt more connected to the characters in this one, I will still say that 343 needs work on the storytelling.
Honestly, underrated part of this scene is how good the Pelican sounds. It sounds like they used real (and very crisp) recordings of an F-18’s afterburners at certain points.
The only problem I have with the scene that is incredibly anti climatic is that, nothing actually happened to the spire besides that blue blurp of energy....wasted potential of a big boom boom there.
I agree. I’m fact the whole seem was actually underwhelming. All he did was jump and land in a pelican. I hate the fact that every cinematic is just one cut as well and always follows chief. Wish it would cut around, really emphasize what’s going on in the scene and bring the tension.
There's a glitched version of this where the pelican doesn't appear and he just falls with debris appearing out of nowhere and then he floats in space. Can't believe I can't find it again.
Especially since it starts right after Halo 5's ending. People don't talk about that enough. It's almost the exact same shot, just a different time (by seeing the planet's surface).
This game and that armor is exactly what a spartan 2 esp master chief should look like. Human physical excellence and a tank. I don’t like his proportions in halo 3, but this, this is GOOOOD
Considering they went through the effort to put any weapon you're holding into each scene, it's definitely not being lazy to not put it on the back. For example, if he was holding a gravity hammer, it may clip through the pelican during the scene.
Cool scene, but physically unsatisfying. Call me a nerd, but mc should fall to his feet at 0:40 when the pelican pitches up. Just before, you get a plain view of the pelican and master chief free falling into the ground, so you gotta feel the Gs when the pilot pulls that stick towards himself. But i suppose they prioritised the dramatic effect of master chief barely hanging on, so i respect it
So he jumps out of a tower with the main theme playing in the background, and that's why this is considered the most epic cutscene of the game? It doesn't say anything good at all for the rest of the game in that case.
@@lucassmith3790 I've completed the game twice, it was pretty underwhelming, if not a complete disappointment. Opening scene was alright but the fight between Chief and Atriox was pretty weak.
343i’s chief looks fat and stiff. If you look at bungie’s chief, he’s much leaner and has less bulky armor, he had a mma fighter body proportion. 343’s chief looks like Mr. Olympia reject. Not even Mr. Olympia reject because he has lady’s hips. WTF. I think Blur renders the best looking Spartans. They are lean with large frame and have wide shoulders.
I know right? This is outrageous: a rip off from every single action movie where someone has jumped off a building or a mountain. They should also be ashamed of showing so many guns in the game; that's clearly a total rip off from 16th century warfare.
This being the most epic cutscene just shows how weaker the game has become. I need action! Some lightning! Halo 2 he casually destroyed a battle cruiser in space.
