Do you believe you achieved what you set out to do originally? Because I think you have gone beyond you original goal and there were lessons all round. Both lefty and touche have great respect for you and your family you have taught them how to love unconditionally and in return they opened themselves to the whole thing. Touche let you pet him because the greatest gift he could give you is gratitude.

My really agressive ringneck also lets me pet him when its night time. I think it has to have something to do with them being so tired that theyre just like "whatever" :D

This is so bitter sweet because usually the birds you help have owners that they know, and love. These two don't. They're not only loosing you guys, but each other. I just hope whoever gets them continues everything you've been doing.
It's amazing how a pet will respond to a gentle child.
Lefty and Touché look so healthy and ready for their new homes. For me of course it's bittersweet, but so grateful to you Jamie and Capri for all the training, love and support they will always remember. I hope you are able to share the final part of their journey. Thank you!

the first time i pet my indian ringneck i had him for less than a week and he was out of his cage and came on my desk while i was making a drawing and i realized he just stood next to my hand and didnt do anything so i slowly booped his head to see if he would bite but he didnt and than i touched him again and he purred like a cat. now i pet him everyday its so cute

This is a huge milestone for a male Indian ring neck. Highstrung by nature, females are more receptive to being approached from behind and preened, as in the wild the male doles out the attention to her & the male guards her (and himself) quite closely. Due to that, males tend to not like being approached from the back, or touched like that at all.
This level of trust takes incredible time and love (took 2 years with my male). All of you did an amazing wonder with him.
And I do hope his new family will be as slow & patient and verbally attentive as he is used to now.
I know he senses he is about to leave you. Brought tears to my eyes.
To be frank, the rescue should not pick his new home. You should.
I haven't followed on patreon , but I will in the future to see a followup and the success of his new placement.
Touche was "sniffing" with Capri there.It is one of the few things that both horses and birds do, I used to love that with my horse. I just love all the sounds that Touche' makes, he is so verbal. In this video I can finally tell Lefty makes little communications too. Thank you so much for opening the door to a brighter world for them. It is so beautiful.
So nice to know that both birds are going to be adopted soon. :) It's a shame I couldn't see Touchés journey, but it seems like they are both good lovable and definetly cuddly birds that are good to go into a loving family.

@@laurynhudgins5060 They did and then they started a GoFundMe for me to take on Touche as well, which I stopped, and they suggested a special sponsorship tier to be able to take him as well. So Patrons voted for Lefty but sponsored Touche exclusively. So yes, they get access to his videos for being gracious enough to do something like that. It was never planned to take both birds, or have any bird sponsored. They made it possible. ❤️

That's amazing that Touche has come a long way... not that it surprises me cause You guys are just awesome and patient and loving towards all the birds... no wonder they trust you guys. Loved how Capri carried Touche out and I was like, awww Lefty is so ador…. oh wait, that was Touche she was holding haha. Great job, Jamie, Dave, and Capri with both Touche and Lefty, and for all that you do with all birds. :) If there is anyone I would trust to get advice and help from, is You guys.

Call me crazy, but I felt like i had a lump in my throat watching Capri hold touche and loving it! So sad to see him just now letting you guys in and he will have to leave! BUT it is for the best I guess. I appreciate all of the help you guys give. Its so amazing. Remind her not to be sad when they leave, but to feel accomplished because she is an amazing trainer already! Most adults don't even have the drive and patience that she does with those lovely birds!
Omgosh this makes me so hopeful. I've been recently training my IRN to put the top of his beak on my face and just sit there. He got a big reward the first time he did it (by accident, because I could see he was thinking about flying off), but he can kind of tell when that's what I want him to do when I don't ask him for kisses and lift my face up when he tries. So he looks down a bit, I rest my cheek very gently on his beak, and after he stops moving for two full seconds he gets a treat. He's learning. Eventually I'll increase the time once he's comfortable with the time so far. The verbal cue will eventually be quietly saying "calm" and holding him still. He's such a smart baby. Even though I can't pet him, yet, his verbal cuteness and devotion to training more than makes up for it.

Makes me sad that your not keeping them, they seem so happy with you guys. I know you took this on for them to be more adoptable...but still saddens me to see how far they have come and how happy they made your daughter and how happy they were together. 😢. Ps...you did a phenomenal job with them, whoever gets them is very lucky.

FYI.....Did you notice your purple pedi perch is upside down? The smooth side is supposed to be up, it helps prevents bumble foot with smooth side up...Love your videos I always get so much information and knowledge from you all. ♥️
Yes, based on how this cage is designed it can only connect that way but they aren't in this enclosure for very long periods, and only use that one when eating. ❤️

That’s a great achievement. You have set both of them up for a great life now. They have both changed for the better thanks to your hard work. I feel for Capri but you, I know, will have already talked to her about them as they have to to their forever homes.

I started on the Morgan series, when I first subbed your channel,...now, I’m currently following Lefty’s story! You do such an incredible job with all of the birds that you work with! I’m in complete awe, when it comes to you being able to tune into each bird, not only on a physical and an emotional level, but also on an intuitive level. I always giggle to myself when I think about doing a consult with you cause I have your least favorite breed of birds. I have an Umbrella cockatoo and a bare eyed cockatoo. I know you aren’t a huge fan of them but do you still do consults and let toos into your master classes? I promise they won’t attack you. Neither of them are flighted due to years of neglect. I just ordered your pellets and seasonal feeding system plus the toy subscription. You guys have made me a better bird mom! ❤️ you and your flock!
Haha, yes, we consult with too-owners and we allow them in masterclasses as well. I don't film everything in masterclasses, just kinda film and then see what I can make of it later on. Not gonna lie though, when I see a consult it about an umbrella too I'm like "heyyy Dave! Ya got a consult!" bahaha. Whichever one of us is available takes the consult though ❤️

It was unplanned, but I was asked to take her on our freeflight trip and we had other travels planned around that so she was there before and after the trip for a while too. ❤️
