It’s like, you can say that there is no significant distinction(take the race argument) and from there say that the categorization is purely social. As someone with actual time blindness, I have actually left late before. 95% of people who claim they have it, just have a discipline issue. Besides, time blindness is really only when you're in the middle of something. It doesn't make me late to work, because I'm constantly checking the clock in the morning trying to get there on time.

i have no idea what the GHC is actually about but if its really primarily focused on helping women to get into tech then they don't deserve to be in tech. i (a woman) got into tech by getting relevant qualifications. there really is no more to it than that regardless of whatever category you fall in.
i stay in tech because i've remained competitive and would be mortified if i ever got so much as a whiff that i'd been a diversity hire.

I worked in high tech. The company I worked for hired a few women. I had to work one woman and was to was train her. She was the laziest person I ever worked with. I did 99 percent of the work and she got half the credit for the job completion. I told my manager, I work faster without her and I refused to work with her again. None of these women lasted long.

A man can state his case with unimpeachable logic and facts but, unless his case happens to be supported by a majority of a woman's perceived peer group, it will just be ignored. You can speculate as to what biological mechanisms drive this behavior but, ultimately, the solution will remain the same: if you want a woman to take your opinions seriously, you have to become her peer group. You do this by being a man: protect her, show you will be a good father for her children, and making it clear that your chief and overriding concern is for the family.

I want to add that women used to be a majority, or at least, were common, in STEM fields during WW2 and early years of the Cold War. Duting 80s and 90s, STEM shifted to be male-dominant.
Another irony is that COBOL is not the only language or software designed by a woman (either collaboratively (mostly) or individually). Other technologies include: Assembly (by Kathleen Booth), Ada (named after Ada Lovelace actually), Wi-Fi (by Hady Lamarr), BASIC (by Mary Keller), Smalltalk-80, GUI (by Adele Goldberg), and so on.

I live where we don't have quotas and work as software developer. In my previous workplace we didn't have women in our dev group of 6 (there were testers tho) until one girl from university joined as a patr timer. You know what was the reaction? "A girl? Cool. On what project are you placing her?" And that's it. Nobody protested or anything. IT guys are one of the chillest people you can find, they are not gatekeepers as some wants to present them.
Grace Hopper was an exceptional woman who did some incredible things most women today could only dream of. She was a rear admiral and decorated war vet,, not forgetting the countless accolades she received during her coding career. She would be rolling in her grave looking at what's been done in her name.

Women are allowed to have their own spaces (salons, spas, fitness clubs, etc)...and are allowed to do so legally.

Time blindness is a real phenomenon for people with Autism. Maybe other people also struggle with this. How it actually feels is kind of like an extreme version of what @redwolf344 describes. That being said, time blindness is not an excuse for being inconsiderate of other people's time. Find a workaround. Set an alarm. It is not society's job to accommodate for your disability. It is much easier to change something about your own behavior than to try to get others to bend to your will.
Time blindness is real, however there’s ways to handle it so you don’t inconvenience everyone around you. Multiple alarms, cognitive behavioral therapy, constant reminders, practicing mindfulness are all things you can do to combat it instead of people just being straight up rude and not being on time.

I remember the Quartering covered a video about men writing a book about feminine women in a competition. The rule of course said you can “Identify” as a woman. They actually won the competition and when they Recieved the reward in person all of the female competitors were pissed even though the rules said they could Identify as a “woman”. I worked for a company that had flex time. There wasn't a set work time, you just had to put in 8 hours. They stopped that when people started to work 5-7 hours and put in for 8.

I know it sounds mean, but a whole lot of modern female behaviour makes more sense, when you understand that none of the words they say actually have anything to do with dictionary and its meaning of the said words. Rather those words are "magic words and magic sentences" like Abracadabra in some childrens fairy tale:

That "time blindness" has a really simple fix, set alarms at times you need to get up and leave the house.

Pretty much. The solution is have a calendar that you keep up to date, set multiple alarms, and leave visual reminders likes sticky notes. There are also to-do list apps that can help.

As a man in tech for the last 27 years, who has worked at some of the biggest names as well as startups, who has worked in 4 states and 2 countries, went to both a community college and private university…there are way to many women only opportunities, women training and promotion programs, and hiring quotas for women. They are allowed to be under qualified for a position and trained after being hired or promoted. They are paid at a rate higher than men with the same experience and education, just to ensure there is no pay disparity (even when the men who have been performing at a high level for years), to ensure the company can’t be accused of under paying women. Trying to force women into roles they only want for the equality and pay, not because they want to do the work, is ruining the the space. Pay is lower, the overall work quality is lower, competent and qualified individuals have to cover for them, spaces are being converted to cater only to women and minorities and excluding everyone else, and they make the workspace stressful.

The amount of unqualified women in their positions is unreal and the rest have to pick up the slack. I love how there was no drive for “women in engineering” when the salaries were mediocre and job was more about interest.
Keep in mind, the term minotities doesnt mean "Men." Although, black men have been disenfranchised as much as black women. Minority is a code word for women only and maybe a token male here and there.
fun fact, the countries with the lowest female involvement in STEM are the countries rated highest for female rights, and the ones with the highest involvement is in countries with the lowest ratings for female rights, i.e. africa and the Middle East. So if given the choice, women are less likely to choose STEM.
