It's really shitty that we never got to have older Patrick Swayze in film roles. Gone much too soon. He's so good here, and in other roles.
He died in 2009 at age 57...he was actually doing a series at the time of his death and before his Cancer diagnosis...he was planning to do more movies.
He did do movies throughout the 1980's & 1990s...Then took time away to be a husband and father...which he took extremely seriously.
In his final role, Swayze starred as FBI agent Charles Barker in the A&E drama The Beast, which was filmed in Chicago. Swayze was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer shortly after filming the pilot episode, but continued working on the show while receiving treatment.
This movie is soo good; definitely one of my favorites.
Stockard Channing is also in Practical Magic if you’ve not seen it. Also love this movie and your video😊

yep Priscilla is the flip side of the coin for this movie, both are a pair of spectacular fun movies.

I like this movie, and it has an absolutely phenomenal cast, but they seem to have gotten confused as to the difference between drag queens and transgender women. While some transgender women do occasionally work as drag queens, and that's certainly the case for one of the characters in the Australian film The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, which came out the year before this did, as far as we're aware, none of the characters in this film are trans women. It's a bit unrealistic for them to travel in full drag and to wear women's pajamas and other bed clothes. It's a fun film otherwise, but them staying in drag the entire time just isn't what real (cisgender male) drag queens would do.
None of the 3 main characters in Priscilla were trans. Bernadette was not trans.
@@fairamir1 The actor who played Bernadette wasn't trans, but the character Bernadette was absolutely trans. She explicitly discussed it in the context of her love life after Trumpet (her partner) died, and it's also why she was so upset about being deadnamed by Adam. And it's why she wore women's clothing and used the name Bernadette and she/her pronouns throughout the film. She was a drag queen AND a trans woman in the film, whereas Tick and Adam, while also being drag queens, were cisgender men.
