- First concert of The Warning in Germany, in Berlin! We've been waiting for this for so long. And it was no disappointment! Energy, positive mood and pure enthusiasm! This video is just for fun and to support The Warning. Thanks for watching and listening!

Speaking English, singing songs in Spanish to people who speak German! Rock N Roll is the universal language!! Love the Warning!
The crowd was a cool mix too. About 50% were relatively young and seemed to be from Berlin's Latino community. The other 50% older old school rock n roll dudes.
And me who fits neither category... 😅
Kind of getting the same feeling when watching a video of Rammstein playing Madison Square Garden, New York. Lots of fans singing on in german. Sometimes love for music in general makes people break language barriers and borders. Also same in the Japanese music scene. Seen videos of Band-maid touring the US, and see people singing along in Japanese.

That bass player is like, wow. So laid back & so proficient

I still can't wrap my head around the fact that in 2020 at her "mature" age of 15, Spector, one of the leading bass companies in the world, custom made that bass for her & called it "Alejandra Villarreal Spector USA Signature 5 String Bass". The red speckled finish is designed by Ale & Spector launched a range of bass in "Ale's Inferno" finish.
She is a human metronome with perfect pitch and has been a Spector artist since she was 13 in 2018.
And as David Bendeth, the legendary producer, said she can hang out with anyone technically.
No wonder Muse gave a huge shoutout to her cover of Hysteria in 2020.
However I'm pasting below a link to their school concert in 2015 when the band covered Hysteria. Ale was 10 & the bass was bigger than her.

@@gregorystinette8271 The bass I played for my college band in late 80s was local made here in Kolkata, India with a tendency to topple over. So I had to counter the weight besides playing 🤪.
Ale's teacher Pablo, plays a 6 stringer on which she had played her jazz & slap bass lessons. Maybe in future Spector will make one for her.

Ale's bass playing is such beautiful thunder. Both of these tracks sound amazing. Pau is one of the best drummers, composers, and lyricist in the game. Dany is uber talented with her guitar, voice and stage command. Together you have one if the best musical acts on Earth. Those who have seen them live (twice for me) will agree. Those who have not keep watching these videos. They get better every show! Long live rock n roll!

Looks like it was a fun show.
That long shot on Pau during the first verse of Martiro really gave me an appreciation for the complicated drum pattern she's playing.
2nd verse I think. The complicated drum pattern has 2 subsections with one on the floor toms. Extremely high level of creative & technical drumming.
Her choice of tones & patterns are so intelligent & subtle in Martirio that its hard to believe that in her mid teens she used to destroy her kit accompanied by a helicoptering ponytail.
@@MrSudeepdas - Oh, you're right - second verse. She always chooses something unique and perfect for the song. I have to go back and watch the music video again. I never noticed the drum pattern before but it's awesome.
I checked and in the music video they don't show Pau playing drums even once during that part and the tom work is not as prominent.
@@randyruggles342 This video shows her tom work very closely. With short fills & crashes on cymbals lasting from 7:10 to 7:12 Pau enters this sumptuous drum pattern consisting of 2 sub-sections at 7:13. She carries on till 7:38 to finish the verse.
In Teatro Metropolitan we can hear this pattern as well - the 1st time I noticed it actually.
I've always wondered what she's playing there. Definitely nothing straightforward. One of the details that makes the song so special.
What more can you say, The Warning are incredible, best band I have seen in decades.

About language: Europeans are generally smarter than Americans [better schools and discipline] for one and the other is that having so many countries close together, they tend to learn at least three languages [well, maybe not the French]. Anyway, The Warning kicking ass per usual.

Let's take a moment to recognize their sound support team, true professionals - the live sound at the venue is so GOOD that even crappy cell phone videos sound good and are listenable. This one's a bit muted on the high freqs, but very very clean, no distortion! And I can finally hear Ale' clearly!

Lots of Germans could speak English when I was stationed there in the '70s.
how about Spanish? I'm honestly asking... cuz I've never been to Germany (even though my sister was born there LoL).

@@don-music Every West German had to learn English in school since many decades. In Eastern Germany, English was not compulsory until after the reunification. Since the mid-2000s, English lessons already start in primary school in all of Germany. So English skills are generally quite good among younger Germans and older West Germans. Spanish, on the other hand, is taught in some schools at a higher age, but it's not compulsory. Thus, Spanish skills are quite rare among Germans and usually are a sign of either a immigrant history or a higher educational level.
@@olli2591little addition here: in Baden-Württemberg, Rheinland-Pfalz and the Saarland the language taught in German primary schools is usually French as these areas were formerly occupied by France.
