Sitges is a resort town about 35 kilometres southwest of Barcelona, in Spain, renowned worldwide for its Film Festival and Carnival. Located between the Garraf Massif and the sea, it is known for its beaches, nightspots, and historical sites.
The Corpus Christi of Sitges, which includes the celebration of the feast of Corpus Christi, is one of the traditional and popular festivals of Sitges. The main events are concentrated on Corpus Christi weekend, the Sunday after the Holy Trinity, and the highlight is the making of traditional flower carpets, with the participation of the population. In the evening, the procession of the Blessed Sacrament with the folk procession followed by the religious, will give meaning to the whole celebration by treading the carpeted streets.

Spain has opened its borders to UN-vaccinated visitors from the UK, where the new COVID variant from India is raging out of control. Scenes like this are no fun to watch under this scenario, even though most people are wearing masks. Thumbs down. 👎
