Hey, just an fyi please learn how to safely fell a tree. You created a bad situation which is called a barber chair, the tree bucked up because of this luckily for yourself it didnt hit you. Learn about how to leave a proper hinge when your felling ( referred to as hingewood) and you'll fell alot more safely and predictably in future. All the best!

Took delivery of this axe today, unboxed it and immediately put it to hard use (after touching up the edge just a bit). Very impressed! I love this axe...it hits hard, bites deep, edge holds up beautifully. Used it on ponderosa pine that's been drying for about 3 years, and this axe performed exactly as I had hoped. Thanks!

You mentioned having a tractor? Maybe you sold have roped up to that in the first place and pulled it over if you've never cut a back lean.

The handle seems to fit flush with the pole, or head. That's better than the grub how I recently purchased. Maybe after use the fit will become tighter, but this axe seems like it has a perfect fit.

Pretty good performance id recommend a wider notch but then again they feel strange when you first pick them up but they definitely grow on you.
