Advice for parents with babies when flying: bring a bottle or naturally feed during take off and landing, it helps with popping ears due to cabin pressure fluctuations. Someone gave me this tip and my baby never cried on flights.
I don't have kids but I gave this a thumbs up as a passenger. (No, I never complain!!)
Or a lollipop works wonders too for the ones a bit older!
Right. It’s amazing how many people don’t know this basic tip. The poor kid is in pain!
We know...
Wow! Had forgotten about this great advice. I did the same thing 59 years ago.
Problem is that what calms the baby might keep other people awake. But I'll take a sound machine over a screaming baby.
Me too!
Me three!
True. A year ago I went to my brother's place in WV for a sort of family reunion which also included old friends. Like the kids, our old friends Steve and Bill and I were not picky about where we slept in his overflowing house and we slept on cots in the garage, and there was this annoying noise coming from Steve's bed which I thought was his CPAP machine so I didn't gripe. I found out the 2nd night is was his phone playing an app that was supposed to sound like rain falling and helped him sleep, because he said, "I forgot to ask last night if my noise bothered you." I told him it did, but I understood he needed his CPAP, and I hadn't known they were so loud. He said that no, it was his white noise app that helped him sleep and he turned it WAY down that night.
@@pdoylemi that's classic hahaha. I always look for the "train in a thunderstorm" videos on YT. There's something about the rhythmic clickety-clack combined with rain and distant thunder that knocks me out. Maybe put that on next time you're in that garage together again 🤣

Interesting. When I was a kid (13?) having trouble sleeping, my older brother suggested that I could go downstairs and start the dishwasher and concentrate on that sound. It did help a little bit.
My little cousin practically disowned her own child the first time she flew with him, when he was 8 months old and wouldn't stop screaming: she primly apologised to the other passengers, saying that she hadn't "been working with the family for very long" 🤣
🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Kaley Cuoco is and always will be ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTFUL !!!
I used to read my infant daughter romance novels out loud. I figured she couldn't really understand what I was saying and it was something I wanted to read. Win-win. She was quite into it.
She loved your voice 😂❤
😂
😂😂😂😂man I wanna judge you so bad but I know how troublesome babies can be and the need to just have a quiet time
Lol I did the same thing
This was a lovely interview! Jimmy conducted it so well!
Excited to hear about your rescue dog, Todd!! Congratulations on your new family member. Much love 💕😊
Kaley & Jimmy have such great rapport like they are friends in real life. Love that her husband hasn't watched "Big Bang Theory." So he will never buy her Norwegian Pickled Herring "who knew it was so delicious!"
She sounds grounded in reality & naturally funny. Tom allows her to be herself which must be priceless.
Her boyfriend seems like a sweet, normal fun guy. I didn't know he was on a soap opera. I love him for her!
Ohh she is great 🥰
That's so baffling to me though... like he didn't even know her NAME on the show!?! Wild! You'd think it would come up
Knock knock knock, Penny. Knock knock knock, Penny. Knock knock knock, Penny
OMG I wonder if the boyfriend actually did that at some point?? 😂😂😂
Waddup, Moon Pie?!?!
Sorry I was waiting for the’bazinga’
Fabulous, and very real interview: loved it! Kaley looks RADIANT!
kaley is so real for this interview.
Once the baby fell asleep, it is not outrageous to ask is you could kindly turn the machine down. Not every baby is the same, they might just need the machine to fall asleep but not ghe whole time. Nothing wrong with the lady asking. Very wrong what she commented later.
I think that lady calls the cops when a neighborhood dog is barking at a bird.
It's literally the same sound as the plane and the adults can't even hear the higher annoying sounds it emits. Only young baby ears can
That machine wasn't lound and what was so ''awful'' that Kaley said?
Full of energy and temperament, Kaley is a wonderful and talented actress. Jimmy, thank you 🌞❤️ nice to hear the conversation with Kaley ❤️
I just love her! (And I've never watched her shows! Oh a couple of accidentally stumbled-upon reruns of Big Bang Theory, but not a regular viewer of her stuff. (And I'm a little verklempt i can't watch her new movie on Amazon; we dont have Amazon Prime Movies. ☹️)
“Meanwhile Matilda just watched the first season of Succession!” has me in tears 😂
As Kaley was talking I kept flashing back to 'Mind the Baby, Mr. Bean' 😆😅🤣
First time seeing her interviewed. She is positively delightful!
I never watched Bing Bang, but had seen a few fleeting scenes of her in the show. I had a little crush.
she was the perfect fit for Penny in Big Bang Theory, she's the same in real life.. which is hilarious! I love her! :D
The pregnant assassin sounds like a good title for both a book and the movie made from it
Ive been watching big band theory since i got pregnant and now that i have my son ( he's a little over a month old) we are watching / listening it to again. Love Kaley Cuoco shows and movies. ❤
Love Kaley and was a huge BBT fan. She’s so candid & authentic about being a new mom… she’s awesome and personable. I’ve never seen her in an interview before. She’s so fun! ❤️
Watching this interview you can understand why she is so much in demand to appear. She is a delightful story teller and energetic interview. Plus she is a beautiful woman and talented.
And a dancer too!
So glad to see Kaley happy with a family! Great interview. Had a baby, in amazing shape and made an interesting movie. Good for her and her husband.
Love the quick joke from Jimmy in defense of the employee. Like of course she asked. It was a valid request. If she actually said it with that much attitude, yes that was completely unnecessary, but it was a reasonable ask. And her job.
She meant the passenger not the flight attendant..
She was talking about about the passenger who initially asked, not the employee.
@@jeffbrown8117"the steward comes over and asks" she's talking about the employee. And upon watching the video again, it sounds like I misheard. It's a male employee.
@@michellearseneau81192:51 Sorry if I caused any confusion by mishearing and saying she instead of he. But she's clearly talking about the employee.
Well, Kaley wasn't really complaining about the flight attendant either
Great show great guests thank you Jimmy
I don't mind baby crying but I am mad when kids shouting loudly and their parents do nothing.
i feel the same way when dogs bark endlessly and their owners do nothing
Love her so much, cannot wait for the next season of the flight attendant, she is incredible in it!!!
❤her. I love her honesty, openness, and transparency. A truly beautiful person inside and out!❤
I had a coworker say to me years ago, "don't believe all these stories. My 2 year-old loves Pink Floyd and the 4-year old tries to play Pearl Jam on his toy piano". Kaley sounds exactly the same. Love it! EDIT: Kimmel. Jack Links Beef Jerky. Not the cheap stuff the real deal Jack Links Original.
She looks like a mix between Christina Applegate and Jennifer Anniston!
Yes totally agree! It was like watching Jennifer Aniston talking at times. Same mannerisms completely
I loved the part of screen time, because I am a mother as well and I passed through the same judgement lol. Loved this interview!
6:45 😂 and so true
She’s such wonderful person. And she’s going to be amazing mother.
I still think during busy times of year, they should just have flights for families with children and flights for adults. Plenty of parents would choose the flight where they don''t have to be as stressed about disturbing others. It's like the movies for parents thing.
It's hard enough for the airline schedulers already!
yeah, that's not how real life works hun
Adults just need to get over themselves. An airplane is a mode of transportation not a place you go for leisure. I wouldn't want a screaming child in a nice expensive restaurant or hotel, but come on people! Should a parent be locked at home until their child is 10?
I don't mean that they would need to enforce it strictly. Movies for Mommies would still allow non-parents in. But everyone would know that there'd be more (accepted) kid noise in that showing. So for flights, it would be a marketing task, not different scheduling. It could be done. Don't be so close-minded.
Hang in there with the dog Jimmy...Rescues are the best but can take some time. My Boy is coming up on 10 and still has issues with men in general. Don't know what happened to the boy but all you can do is just the best you can.
Love you!!! Watched Big Bang, forever. Sounds like you and Tom raising a great kid. You rock, and you're beautiful!
Absolutely love Kaley!!!!!
Stay this real Kaley - absolutely LOVE you!
Jimmy!! Nice Norm McD ref w the “not necessarily”
Seriously love her so much.
She's great. Such a fun Personality.
She is the best character in tbbt❤
Wonderful interview. Loved it.
Doesn't she sing the soft kitty song to Matilda?
😅😅
Touché. 👶 😊GRINS and GIGGLES😂
Same cravings!! Tuna from subway and burritos!
I remember when we brought my son home from the hospital and we were in the living room and Night Court came on and he got quiet. Everytime night court started he got quiet.
you know, it occurs to me: if i had a nickel for every time she was in a series/film with a character named raj, i'd have ten cents which isn't a lot but it's weird that it's happened twice
I flew many times in the years when my children were babies and never had a problem. We flew "red eye" flights and didn't allow them to nap all day...as soon as lights were out, so were they.
This has to be the most practical advice in all these threads! 💥
Great work-- belongs closer to the top!
Happy that worked for you but every child is different and a lot of babies get absolutely inconsolable if you let them get overtired (ie skipping naps).
Growing up in Hollywood & being in spotlight most of her life-yet she’s open, easy going & funny. Love her. When heard she was preggo with Tom, I thought NOW she’s wealthy. Wealthy with 💕
I love Coco can’t wait to see the movie ❤❤❤
Love her honesty!! Glad you have humor K!😂❤
Always loved how down to earth kaley seems
YES, please do open a Taco Bell, I miss this since decades here in Germany 😁
I think you are doing great job.
Screaming babies in public transport(car, plane) might be stressful for parents but sincerely it's annoying and uncomfortable for other passengers
O well when you ŵere a baby were you a perfect baby when you went on a plane
(I'm sick tonight can't sleep)
There are stressful situations in life, and what distinguishes adults from babies is that adults are (should be) able to deal with stressful situations, and babies just aren't able, because they're babies. And the only way they know to react to stress is crying. And sometimes they can be soothed, and sometimes it's not that easy.
Also, screaming babies don't travel on their own, right? So what you're saying is parents shouldn't be allowed on public transport. Should they just stay at home and not ever leave?
@@justyna5673
Thank you. Honestly people can only think a situation through for the length of time it takes to get through how they themselves feel. Then they're DONE!
@@justyna5673Agree 110 percent. It's ok if you choose not to have children but you shouldn't expect a child free world?
oh dear, i don't think people get mad at the baby, they get mad at the PARENTS. lol it's more like that..
i think they really *do* get mad at the parents. which is... super fkn weird. lol cuz as parents, we don't WANT our kids to cry (or to hurt to be uncomfortable or whatever). it's not the parent's fault & it's not the baby's fault. just a lose-lose all around lol
hermosinga! ❤
I saw a story where the parents had the flight staff pass out a little care package to each passenger with earplugs, snacks/candy, and an apology note 😅 Wish I had thought of that on my long flight to Sydney with two toddlers.
I don't have kids, but I feel like that's too much. It is thoughtful, but people are so selfish nowadays that they can't handle being around children. The only thing that should bother people is parents who don't discipline their children to behave a little.
@@Kareragirl Thank you! I can understand if an 8 year old is continuously kicking the back of your seat or something. But children EXIST. They're allowed to exist in public places as much as anybody else.
no parent should have to apologize like this lol, society is so unwelcome to parents
Omg, my mom also craved Taco Bell when she was he was pregnant with me lololol.
I love her!
It would have been so funny when he asked who judges you? And she would have said the baby. 😂
We need season 3 of the flight attendant
Her story should be part of it too 🤭
smart idea@@5xt
Also, keep a warm cloth, or 1 they can microwave for you,,,make sure it's not too hot,,, put over the baby's ears to help their ears with the pressure.
She is just beautiful❤
Bigbang was only watch worthy because of her...
There was these parents who used over ear headphones for the baby on my last flight. If you don’t come at me with how bad it might be for baby’s hearing, I thought it was a good idea. The baby stopped crying and went right into sleep once they put it on.
Yeah, my friend and his wife only allow one hour of TV a day for their daughter and no other screens. He says she won't have her own device until she's 16.
I love Kaley!
i experienced a screaming baby in front of me on a flight. I started chanting aum and soon she quieted down. When she started again and I started others on the plane joined in and it was beautiful/
That is beautiful!
I understand it’s frustrating flying with a baby but that doesn’t mean you can do whatever you want. If you’re on a public plane it’s not really the responsibility of other passengers to deal with something that is annoying for them just because it is calming for you or your baby. Agree it’s better than a screaming baby but it’s not appropriate for Kaley to be so angry at someone else.
A bit weird of her, maybe she's exaggerating for the segment. But also, headphones exist.
Thank you. Yes. I'm a flight attendant, and what Kaley did is against federal aviation regulations.
@@LeblribrbrrqFor babies?? Do you have a young baby? Again, can we stop with the judging? Babies are unpredictable on flights & it’s a million times worse for the parents trying to calm them. Give us a break. The parents who don’t try to calm, distract or teach their kids, go for it.
@@b-dub6865I don’t care! It’s annoying 🙄
@@javiruiz8365 Until you have kids & are in that scenario, you don’t truly understand how stressful & tense it can be. It’s hell for the parents & we’re doing the best we can. This wasn’t even an outrageous situation. It’s not like the baby was crying, or a kid was screaming & kicking the seats.
As kids, our parents drove to destinations; flying was for adults.
Was this when airplanes were brand new?
Yes yes yes. Babies should never be on planes. Ridiculous.
It's not safe for babies to be in car seats for too long. Also not everywhere that parents need to go is drivable. Babies exist, parents exist, you live in a society and that's just part of being a member of one. Deal with it. Well preferably, be a decent fellow human and have compassion and kindness towards parents who are likely having a much worse time than you if their baby is crying. But if you can't manage that, then deal with it.
@@Whispurr07 then stay home with your new baby. Seriously??
@@jd-iw2et you stay home if you can't handle sharing your space with babies. You're the one with the issue, they have a right to exist in public
she is a real life penny
Kaley..You look absolutely marvelous darling.
I loved her as Penny
Great voice actor for harley quinn
She was in a show called "The Flight Attendant", but called one "the steward".
Because a steward is a man who works as a flight attendant. DUH! Google it !
So what? Is this offensive or what?
I will say, my parents did not take myself or the other three children on planes, we drove our way across the country on vacations. I guess some ppl will respect others own space on such small areas better than others. so I was wondering, are the streaming services that make movies, is that the equal to straight to video back in the day?
Can't believe that Kaley Cuoco aka Penny from "The Big Bang Theory" was able to guest in Jimmy Kimmel Live! And it's so nice to know that she now has a 9-month baby!
Congrats and good luck to her on her new film project!
Why is this so unbeliavable? She's an actress, of course she attends shows likes this. Also, she's not just Penny anymore.
She is so lovely 🥰
Friends travelled with 9 months old twins from Australia to India. People on the plane were happy to play the twins.
Todd’s the fox from Fox & The Hound 🥺
Kaley cuoco !o Brasil te ama ❤
Wasn't Todd the name of the Fox from The Fox and the Hound?
Love Kaley
I wonder if the showtime warning is someone knocking on the door and saying her name three times.
I totally love that she is easy going as a parent and isn’t ashamed to admit. I do think she is right about other parents being all judgy and holier than thou about how they raise their kids- well only time will tell whether their overly cautious methods made better human beings.
100%!
YESSSs. The amount of constant judgement and comments in public is something I was not prepared for as a parent.
What version brought nit to the star?
If Friends was ever to be redone she would be the perfect Rachel. She gives off Jennifer Aniston vibes
She's beautiful..🥰
Love love love kaley
Such a ray of sunshine, Penny! ♥️
❤ 5:45
The sense of entitlement is definitely something
Yes please bring Taco Bell to Germany! 😅
To people upset by children on planes: Babies cannot regulate their emotions. they do not understand where they are or what is happening. Now if you are a fully grown adult and are unable to regulate your emotions over something as natural as a cry then i think you need to take a deep hard look at yourself. It's not the child who needs to stop and think about their actions, it is you and your need to complain. If you're that disturbed, imagine how the parent may be feeling, offer them help, assistance, or even just reassurance that they are doing a good job. I have no children of my own but i will always offer a hand to any mother or father in need. Period.
It’s so nice to see her just being…her. 😊
She's such a doll. If you want a treat though, go immediately and binge "Based On A True Story" series she's in with the delicious Chris Messina. It is phenomenal. Dark comedy with an emphasis on on hilarious. On Peacock. You will not be disappointed, I promise!
No babies on flights...
I love her, looking forward to watching the new movie! 🥰
So you love delusional entitled celebrities, got it
I'm from germany and I agree, I want Taco Bell!
Tom’s Mom’s John. Say that 5 times fast 😂
