Compared to the SE4 single season pass, I think SE5's dual season pass was a bit of a piss-take.
It's like they just got the original season pass, cut it in half and charged us twice.
SE4's single season pass gave us more weapons, more characters and more skins than SE5's 2 season passes combined.
I was only interested in the campaign missions so the lower price of SP2 nearly saved it. If they try a Season Pass 3, I'll be hesitant to buy it over just paying for the missions.
SE4 IS SE5s Nemesis.
If they release more season packs as the prices they have with 1 and 2 that has to be some serious piss taking.
Another 24.99 would be 85 quid in total for all the DLCs. That's about the same if not more than the base game. What a joke!
Needless to say I'm really annoyed cos I love the games but refuse to pay these obscene prices.
I want snipers that hide like SE3 instead of sitting in them look out points like sitting ducks too easy to pick off and more armoured vehicles and boats and radio look outs that call the air raid on your position
About the price difference and differing amounts of weapons, I suspect the reasoning is the added development-time for alle the various mods and possible setups with each weapon is why we’re seeing so many more weapons per season pass in SE4.
Feels like one rifle in SE4 was about 1/3 on the dev-time needed for each rifle in SE5 or maybe even less🤷♂️
As for what I want from a potential season pass 3? More missions, no skins unless they can actually function as camoflague (weathered and less crispy/vivid colors) and more weapons..maybe more skins if they stick with the historic ones..give me my Garand dammit!

I bought season pass one and two and glad just to have more missions and weapons. My favourite in season two was definitely the kraken mission. Having more and harder enemies really made a difference.
I really liked the kraken awakens mission it definitely wasn’t perfect however compared to a lot of the other missions it’s pretty well populated for its size.

I just bought SE5 because it was on sale and I played the previous titles. I really don`t care about skins so I did not get any season whatever pass...yet. Thanks for your review and the opportunity to let people know what they get for their money!
If you follow the guide line that a game should deliver 1 hour of play time per $1, then I've spent about $110 on SE5 and played for 330+ hours. I agree that the DLC cost seems to be on the steep side, and needs to be improved in quality, but the game is still fun and I'm going to continue playing. Invasion mode saved this game's butt.

Good afternoon your correct the camouflage for the rifles are very poor, and some of the challenges for obtaining suppressors are ridiculous like 45/50 over 80 MTR kills for the Gustav. If you pay for rifles etc you should be supplied with proper camouflage and suppressors as part of the kit.
I was playing game pass Sniper Elite 5 and held off till it went on sale. Today Sniper Elite 5 deluxe was 31.99 included season pass one. Thanks for review of season pass 2

Good review. I keep going back to this point, but SE4 is by far the best SE and Rebellion have slightly disappointed with SE5. It's almost as if they've gone backwards..
A good summary of the basics but there’s another angle to the value debate that I would really like to see you explore. Simply put I wouldn’t mind paying double the season pass cost if the base game and the DLC missions had been challenging to play on a proper Authentic+ difficulty, and that the environments and mission objectives were interesting and varied according to a coherent storyline.
I think we should draw a clear distinction between the stand-alone campaign mode, and Invasion. I have been blown away by Invasion - its introduced a completely different gaming experience to the series and one that I am enjoying tremendously. But there are times when I do not want to play Invasion, I just want to try a one life run through one of my favourite missions with some kind of added challenge. Ghost, full noise, different weapons, etc. But I can do a one life run through on every SE5 mission wearing earplugs and an eyemask, using the controller one handed. The missions are just way too easy.
So I would really love to see you dive into this Brutal, get into the weeds of what we have fundamentally missed out on with SE5, in terms of how its made us really [u]feel[u]. Has it given us a proper buzz, do we feel a bit meh, have there been times the game’s made us really mad?
For me, playing alone with invasion mode switched off, SE5 Missions just have not delivered that dopamine rush that SE4 Authentic+ did, let alone the achievement of genuine one life per CAMPAIGN on Authentic mode in SE3. The DLC packs are just a continuation of the lack of challenge & thrill from the main campaign and I don’t know why I naïvely expected the DLC to fix that problem. It didn’t.
That’s what I would like to see you get into Mr Barracuda!
I've made my opinion on SE5s difficulty clear multiple times. Rebellion have made the game easier to appeal to more people but they went too far. Its far too easy even on the hardest difficulty which means less challenge ergo less replayability. Imagine playing Tetris but the speed of the falling blocks never increases, too easy, you would soon get bored. I really hope Rebellion have listened to the feedback from the SE community and take the appropriate steps to bring back the challenge in SE6. Increased difficulty is at the top of my SE6 wishlist by a loooong way.
I would recommend Turning off perks it makes it much more challenging
I'd like a season 3 with the carcano and maybe 1 or 2 new levels
I would like to see more missions also with the camo packs I like the patriot one cause I am from America and that is my colors also in sniper elite 6 they need to bring back as a default skin the full camouflage suit and camouflage skins for the rifle but also make it so if we equip them players can't see the sniper glint on the rifles by default

I agree with everything said, bit too much for what you get in the season passes, would love to see a season pass 3, anniversary elite 6, the weapon common are nowhere near as good as 3 and 4 and we are still waiting for a winter campaign to go with the cammo
This season is quite good but a few misses. I'm always hoping for more survival maps within missions maps, but there is none😢.
After seeing both season pass and the dlc content. Would you recommend a casual player to buy these? Or just save the money and it is just good enough to play through the base game without needing the dlc missions and guns?
For me, i couldn't care less about the skins. Weapon skin or character skin. But i am interested in the campaign missions as they are more gameplay, and the weapons will be interesting to try out in different maps as well.
Have you completed the base game yet? If so, do you still want more? Finish the base game and see how you feel. I only get the season passes for the missions.
I think there should be another campaign, with cutscenes and all, new characters etc!
hey is the gravity and wind video you did on sniper elite 4 outdated? did they change any mechanic on sniper elite 5?
My wind and gravity videos of SE4 do not apply to SE5.
For season pass 3 I would like: Tokarev pistol (we got a soviet rifle & smg, lets round it of with a pistol), Arisaka Rifle (classic japanese rifle), German uniforms for Karl & Monika (German uniform to role-play infiltration, just use the skins from invasion mode), reverse style mission: German sniper hunting a resistance cell (can be prequel to campaign mission 1), Mas-38 (French smg, we got a French pistol & rifle let's complete the set), Mas-38 (French army main rifle, bolt action) FG42 (german smg), tripwire mines & bouncing betties (give them back please), smoke grenade (for tactical retreat)
Agree weapons camos are ho hum in SE5.
Would love to have the ability to carry a single weapon for future releases and not be forced to carry all three.

I had complained in the past about the enemy count on boards. Seeing the new Kraken board with 160-170, while remembering Obliteration being around 290. I played some SE4 recently and made note of the kill count. Magazzeno Facility, 120, Giovi Fiori Mansion, 110. Pretty sure Bitanti Village is just double digits. So there's something other than enemy count that's at play with the lacking feel on SE5 missions.
The Mod.712 pistol is pretty fun. Completely not what an operator would take, but that 32 round drum is fun none the less. And where's a night mission outfit? As an American, I can't complain with the red/white/blue camo. 🙂 It's all "fine enough", but the price for it all is what really makes it questionable.
Trouble is they increased the map size but forgot to increase the enemy count to match it 🤣
Cumulative RPI inflation in the UK since 2016 is around 33% so the old £29.99 indexes to £39.88 today

As a Series X owner since Day One I've played through the base game already as it was included on Xbox Game Pass from release. As I've never actually 'owned' it and finally also got myself a PS5 about 6 months ago I would like to give it another playthrough on PlayStation and get the DLC too.
I've just noticed you can get the 'Complete Edition' in this weekend's PS Plus Exclusive Offers for 28 'n' half which is a really decent deal it must be said. But in these very same exclusive weekend offers if you were to buy just the DLC by itself so the Season Pass One and Season Pass Two they will set you back a combined £27.83, like where is the logic in that???
I'm someone who is all for physical so would much rather buy the base game on disc and then get the DLC from the PSN Store but that ain't happening with them prices, unfortunately they really are doing everything they can to force us in to a digital only world!
BB Sir.. The way Reb work I think you will be playing SE6 before getting your hands on Season Pass 3. But I totally agree with everything you have said. And maybe (and this might be a BIG maybe) Reb could also add to the "to-do-list". Get "Easy Anti Cheat" working, which it hasn't since day one. Anyway Cracking Video BB sir
Does any one agree, the selection button ( - rifle / pistol / smg and the land mine tnt etc choice) fails big time in Elite 5 ?

All said and done I think sniper elite 5 is much improved on 4,apart from some of them awful weapon skins.sniper 4 and 3 were much better in that respect, let's just hope rebellion, will shock us with some great skins if there is a season pass 3,if not it will be a long wait to sniper 6 😢

Season Pass 2 is absolutely overpriced, but I gotta be honest I liked its content. The weapons are good, really love the mosin now that it’s been buffed, and the Kraken Awakes mission is just awesome. Probably my favourite mission in the entire game.
You’re right though. The weapon skins are trash. They look so damn stupid.

I wasn’t impressed by the pricing for these “season passes”. The skins were largely filler for me as it was the weapons and missions that I really wanted. I only got pass 2 because it was almost half price on the Steam sale.
The graphics are better though, and the gameplay is better and not so primitive and simple anymore. But it’s not worth double as much.
I wish Rebellion would listen :(
I won't be purchasing a season pass again from rebellion after being ripped off from the crap character and gun skins! The kraken awakes mission is brilliant, well worth its price, without a season pass...

Feel free to blame me I did something I never do and bought the game day one, No Spring or Trip Mines Wide Open maps that go on and on and on for no reason, fear not I won't be doing that again now waiting a year as I always say for Fully Fixed Fully Working and one third or less priced game, once again I say sorry for cursing this game..
Rough landing is hell as the invader, so many church and cave campers it's so goddamn annoying 😹😹😹

@@BrutalBarracuda it's great when being invaded tho. Kraken awakes is probably the best map for invasion because it actually forces the player to find the sniper jäger instead of camp. I only really play invasion now tho so it's probably because I play so much.
Terrible value for money, a sad result of greedflation. I skipped out on Season 2 due to disappointment with Season 1 and will only buy it if/when it goes on heavy discount. And we still don't have proper controller support with deadzone adjustment, making iron sights-only rifles like the Pederson practically unusable.
Let me say Season pass 1 is best Season pass 2 only save in Season pass 2 os Mosin Nagant others DLC Season pass 2 are weak

I was over disappointed with SE5. No where near enough enemies and some bad map design with hidden walls, and the inability to simply leap over some small walls. Don't get me wrong it was an OK game, but, I still think it could have been much better. I actually prefer to play SE4, I hope SE6 takes it up a notch

Frankly, don't see how Rebellion can charge 60 quid for some average updates. It's utterly laughable. If it wasn't for hardcore fans the game would be dead.

If the DLCs were half the price it would still be a bit expensive, but I balk at the 24.99 and 29.99 of seasons 2 and 1.

Yeah not gonna lie, S2 consisting of 2 maps and 2 w&s packs is a bit sh!tty... also I heavily dislike that the majority of the weapons you need to purchase were included in SE 4 (in game progression unlocks etc). Just feels like they're knickle and diming their community.
