Whoever recorded this is a legend, and one of the luckiest people alive. I never even got to see Necrophagist live, much less stand 1 foot from Muhammed Suiçmez as he plays the greatest death metal solo of all time.
I don't know how anyone could possibly say this solo doesn't have any emotion. It's so intensely poignant that it sends chills down my spine. Incredibly beautiful.
I was lucky enough to see this absolute fucking juggernaut of a band twice. Once when they headlined for Summer Slaughter, but before that a small show in Albany, NY on a Thursday night where maybe 15 people showed up. I remember me and my friend driving to the show and thinking there's no fucking way they play like that live. You have to understand, tech death wasn't a thing yet. This band spawned so many bands and after seeing them live, I knew why. They played faster than the album was, and they played it fucking precise. All you need to know is in this video. It's shitty cam footage from forever ago. And it's fucking CLEAN. I had a blessed opportunity to buy this man a beer and chat with him about his influences and asked the standard question one would when youre an 18 year old guitar player, 'how did you get so fucking good?' This man wanted to play guitar but his parents wouldn't allow him to have one, so he kept a guitar at his brother's apartment and would go there after school just learning and perfecting his craft. Suicmez changed death metal forever. Dude dropped 2 albums and then bounced and shit was never the same. I consider myself insanely fortunate to be able to say I saw this band, I talked with him, bought him a beer and left feeling like death metal was limitless in it's scope. Dude changed the genre for me and everyone else. Can't say enough good shit about him.
We all are, i have a feeling ill be senile eventually and telling my grandkids that i might have one day, keep an eye out for the tech death record of the year
I highly doubt Muhammed was making music with Necrophagist as a living. I mean, if anything, maybe he just doesn't have the time now. He never "had" to make music - he wanted to.
His solos are just amazing, you listen to them off of the album and they blow your mind..but then you listen to them live and you end up saying, "how the fuck does he play it perfectly?" Necrophagist is just pure amazing.
first time i heard the solo, i was speechless.i wanted to say something but it just left me speechless and dumbfounded with this supreme masterpiece that he calls a solo
No its not either. This Is a USA B.C. Rich Stealth custom. It isnt the Chuck Shuldiner tribute model. I actually own the tribute model. 1.The tribute model only has 1 pick up and 1 knob for volume only. 2. it does not come with a floyd rose. and 3. The tribute model is a smaller scale ( 24 5/8) You can see in the video this is a standard 25.5 scale guitar. AND about 7 seconds you can even see the BC rich logo on the head stock.
The problem with comparing living musicians with ones that have been dead more than 7, maybe 8-9 tops is that it moves ahead so fast, by the simple fact that there are millions of people in music, and we don't know how the dead musicians skills might have developed in that time. On the other hand, if Chuck was still alive today, I have a feeling he might have roped this kid in for a recording session. These two playing off of each other is something I would kill to see the results of.
i love this band so much because they are ridiculously technical and can play it live without a problem. i give great respect to this guy as a musician.
Fucking speechless every time. Master sweep picking and weaves inventive arpeggios and different melodies into it, machine gun fingers that eats frets, fucking DRILLED through notes and frets unrelenting and poised, and it wasn’t a repeated arpeggio but a whole musical thought, with a mind that could design the sickest sounds what the fucking fuck
Necrophagist is one of the "classiest" technical metal bands I've seen in a while, in the sense that they bring a professional aspect to the Death metal realm by sculpting a well defined balance of both riffs and verse based rythym to an over-the-top, classicly refined, and precisely played solo section. And it works....the solos are indeed a highlight, no doubt. The material leading up to the solo may sound standard death metal at times but if you listen closely...
