Old saying for a walbro carb “Throw it into the woods, then pick it up and throw it further”. All the old timers at the Allenstown swap meet have told me that!
when you showed your lab dog i was telling my self he/she look very young , you can still see have that puppy look . i love lab and golden retriever i had both before . lab and golden retriever love to run and water .
Greetings from Central Maine. Got yourself a new subscriber. Looking forward to more stuff. Nice score on that old Panther. Spent many days riding those a long time ago (they were almost new back then). You are indeed a braver soul than I tackling that Walbro. I would've slapped a Tilly on it and been done with it, but it'll be cool if you can make it work. Can't wait for Part 2.
I grew up driving one exactly like this. Always struggled to start until we switched to Mikini carb and ran like dream. Do yourself a favor and change that junk carb
long time ago i had 1970 panther with 399 kohler motor i didn't care so much Kohler motors for me it didn't run to good and i even rebuild motor bottom end and top end of motor . i have better luck with Kawasaki engines old sleds like that

Thanks so much!
Great find!!! I used to have lots of those Kawasaki engines when I restored sleds.
Can’t wait to get this running. Might have a trick up my sleeve so I can get the next video of this thing out for you guys sooner
New sub. Looking forward to watching your projects.
At 37.25 it is called Knurling. That pin end is Knurled.
Nice video's.
I just threw a new Mikuni on mine, that fixed the carb issues
look like whatever you from you got good mount of snow
Unfortunately it’s all melting we need another storm bad

Seems like that’s been the topic that those carbs are garbage lol
Looks in nice shape for how old it is.
That’s why I had to have it super clean!
I think that you are talking about the involute drive for those drive sprockets.
Yes!
when pulling it over let the fingers catch first before pulling it hard or its going to break them ,hard to get parts
Before l check for spark, change to new plugs..
If spark is confirmed, tackle fuel.
That’s in the next vid including fuel lines
I would bet Livingston's , down in Hillsboro would either have the carb , or thr pieces you need . Sure you knew that already though , ehh ??
I gave them a call waiting for Pete to call me back
I hope you had the killswitch pulled out AND the key turned on. That may be the spark issue
I did. Coils are junk I have some new ones ordered
What did it cost you?
