I think I've seen a theory that a full 6-man team entered the Vault of Glass, but 3 of them were erased from time by it. Which would explain why they seemingly went in so underprepared

You know what would be cool in a destiny tv series. Having these original raid guardians dying and failing. And later on in the series, the raid gets beaten, in a full episode, by a random team, and the team members are the actual worlds first team for that raid.
