I have to disagree. I think it was mostly from the media perspective. The media was after him like an assassin. But we know how good he was. There are few players you see coming into a match and think, “we’re gonna win for sure”, can never forget his rocket 🚀 launcher left foot and how such a one footed player of his build could just dominate games.
Without doubt THE BEST player ever to come out of the UK, never mind Wales…… unstoppable….
This man had the same level of influence on his country as Maradona and Ronaldo, Once Ronaldo and Maradona shined on the world stage, more talent from those regions emerged and now players like Brandon Johnson & Harry Wilson are showing great promise for Wales.
