Please, do you remember if fan was working before cpu change? I have the same problem but my fan is not spinning. Fan tested separately and is ok. Thank you
Fan spin (short) during power ON and the stop when system startup start booting, and then it will spin again when its reach the hot point temp. during operation.
I didn't try yet because I don't have core i5 CPU.. but as long as the core i5 CPU you want to replace is the same PIN (LGA) with the core i3 original CPU then it will work.
