It was a historic day for Jamaica when American airlines landed for the first time at Ian Fleming international airport in Boscobel St Mary on February 24,2024

I call this progress. Many years ago I worked at this airport when TransJamaica existed and witnessing this is historic and commendation to those who made it possible. It would be nice to see Porter.Airlines flying from Toronto City Airport to this new destination as they now have the plane as this is the ideal market that Porter Airlines could expand into as the first international destination outside of North America

Historic day indeed, next should be the expansion of the airport in Negril with international flights commencing. It is too long of a ride to your resort in Negril coming from Montego Bay airport. I have done it and it wasn’t the best experience. Come on Jamaica, get it done now. Nice one Stewy, keep them coming.

This is great, because a months ago it cost me $120 US for taxi from Mobay to Ochi.
There's a Knutsford Bus Service you can use. It's cheaper, very efficient, clean. A lot of people using to get to and from airports.
@@jennifersturridge8802 I usually use Knutsford but the last bus departs about 7pm.

A third international airport was long overdue. People are traveling by air at record levels in recent times. And given that many persons vacation on the north coast, stretching from Negril to Portland, the Sangster's International airport arrivals meant long road travels for those staying outside on Montego Bay. The long-distance road travel between Sangster's Airport and other North coast vacation spots, I am sure, discouraged some travelers from opting for those places. The conversation of the airport in the Boscobel region will change all that and will lead to an increase in tourist visits to those areas.
