PadmaShri. Shankar Mahadevan is a very popular Indian Singer And Music Composer and one among the famous Composing Trio of Music Industry #Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. He was born on 3 March 1967 in Chembur, Mumbai in a Tamil family. He has learnt Hindustani classical and Carnatic music and studied under the supervision of the legendry singer #PadmaBhushanShri ShrinivasKhale. With his love for music, he to had focus on his studies in which holds a degree in #Computer Science and #SoftwareEngineering from the Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology in #NaviMumbai and too has worked for the company Leading Edge as a software engineer.
He is singing songs in Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. The first album he recorded was #Breathless in 1998 and since then demands for him in the industry increased which gave tremendous fame and success. He has composed songs for numerous Indian films which include- #ZindagiNaMilegiDobaara, #TaareZameenPar, #Bhaag MilkhaBhaag and many more. He has personally sung songs like ‘Taare Zameen Par’, ‘#IndiaWaale’ from ‘#HappyNewYear’ as well as famous Marathi songs like ‘#MannUdhaanVaryache’ from #AgaBaiArrecha, ‘#Sur NiragasHo’, ‘#ManMandira’, ‘Ghei Chhand Makarand’ from ‘#KatyarKaljat Ghusli’.He was first awarded with a National Film Award for the best playback singer for “Yenna Solla Pogirai” in 2000. Since then he has been awarded for his contribution to the music industry in various languages.
