Looking forward to more of these. Congrats on your inaugural cast gentlemen!
Thank you!!! That’s a hard word to say! 🤣 #inaugural
Trail mix! Perfect name
Thank youuuu! We appreciate ya!
On a lot of cars, if you put the l/r switch for the outside mirrors, that shuts of the mirrors turning down when in reverse.
Solid recommendation! We'll try it!!
This is great. I’m looking forward to seeing more Trail Mix episodes. The LC looks sweet in black. Looking forward to seeing how it evolves under your ownership. Also, wondering what your opinion of the 6th generation 4Runner will be when that gets released.
Really appreciate your awesome feedback! Thanks for watching! Can't wait for the new 4Runner!!
As an owner of a '22 4Runner Limited who is trading in for a new Landcruiser Premium Edition, I think the new 4Runner looks pretty sharp and similar to the outgoing model. However, a lot of the squareness/boxy designs appears to be softened.
@@georgetown8986 oh totally agree. I like what they’ve done with the new 4Runner. I think it’ll be a very fun rig to drive, for sure!
Great review. I have a Landcruiser Premium Pkg coming the end of the month (according to the dealer). I will be coming from my '22 4Runner Limited. I like the increased size of the Landcruiser and the higher horsepower/performance.
I am curious if you think the culprit for the increase wind noise is, in fact, the FE roof rack? Sans that rack, are your thoughts on its level of quietness pretty low given its box shape / larger vehicle? My order has the factory cross bars on (which are smaller than the FE rack, of course).
Curious on your thoughts. Again, sharp Landcruiser and great podcast guys.
Awesome! Hope it lands on time for ya! Honestly, unclear yet about the culprit. We'll definitely be swapping the rack at some point and we'll know then! Like anything, after driving it for a few days the wind noise difference was barely noticeable. You get used to it.
About your question: I have a 2017 Avalon and I can turn off the tilting side mirrors on reverse by setting the side mirrors control in the neutral position(not set to control the R or L mirrors). Not sure if this will be applicable to LC.
Solid! We'll definitely check it out! Thank you!
Ugh my Land Cruiser trim is at the Long Beach port on a QC hold.
Ugh, we feel ya! Hope it gets released soon! You're going to love it!
How do you tweak the gain n the jbl amplifier thru your alpine head unit? You mentioned it in the video. Thanks
Feel free to shoot us an email at support@trailgridpro.com and we'll be glad to help!
You can turn off the lane keep assist. Turned mine off since I feel it is more dangerous on than off. 🤣
You're certainly not wrong!!
Can you comment on the rear cargo height? I went and looked at a 1958 and was shocked at how high it was with the hybrid battery. I have two dogs and am concerned that they won't be able to hop up to the 37" level. How is loading gear, groceries, etc to that height on a daily basis?
Hmm, didn't think about dogs but I think most medium to large dogs won't have a problem getting in. Small dogs may have trouble unless they have major ups! Loading gear, groceries is great - especially with the one-touch open.
@@TrailGridPro Thanks for your thoughts. 37" is an inch taller than a standard counter height. Don't think my labs will be able to jump to that height (or down) for their entire lives. Maybe a young dog, but I've got some older ones I'm not looking forward to picking up....
My LC First Ed arrival has been postponed for 6 weeks now. All Dealer says is “quality check”. No arrival date. I’m in nor cal. Any clue what holdup is?
I’m in the same boat with my FE. Stuck in a QC hold at the port in New Jersey. Bummer….
My LC is stuck at the local distribution center. It was slated to be delivered to the dealership within 7 days when the QC hold went into effect 😢
Exactly. QC. And i already paid for mine! QC; What does that mean? Dealer wont tell me anything. Not even an estimated timeframe.
Wow. We hadn't heard of these delays until we launched this today! Man, hopefully they start flowing better!
Rumor is sunroof issues…
Waiting on mine too…
Mine is stuck in the big QC hold down at the port in NJ… A little disappointing….
Same as @archbold1206 ... hope it's released soon for ya!
There’s a big rumor mill churning on the Land Cruiser forums. I just hope it’s not engine/drive train related.
@@alfagtv1098 oh definitely. I guess we’ll see. Thanks for the heads up.
@@alfagtv1098my dealer told me that it’s the sunroof potential drainage issue. Makes sense since the 1958 version is still leaving the ports and the FE and LC trims are all on QC hold now. Betting most of the LC trims are mostly premiums like mine since it’s earlier in production and those are higher margin.
Just got my 1958 and yes the audio quality is complete trash. What would you recommend as far as sound system upgrades?
We hope to have some audio solutions rolling out soon! Stay tuned and keep an eye on our website!
agreed with pretty much all toyota audio.. and their integration for phone systems and microphone seem to be garbage as well. sometimes the system in my 2020 taco allows me to use the phone and others it doesn't.. I have unplug my battery every year to reset the system.. and it sometimes works.... all my friends say they can't hear me.
My first few tanks of gas are averaging 18.4 on the highway.
Dang, we need your tips!
For those #'s they Should have stayed with the V8
@@---rg1gb Yea, I hear that.
why on earth does the engine in this require premium yet the same engine in the taco can take 87
Honestly, good question. Don't know that answer at this point.
@@TrailGridPro nobody seems to and man i’ve been asking. It’s odd as the output numbers appear to be the same 🤷🏻♂️.
It’s both hilarious and concerning how casually these two guys just freely admit what terrible drivers they are with actual real life examples. And instead of improving their driving skills they double down on their dangerous behavior. It’ll be interesting when they get into another accident and this video surfaces after lawyers have their way.
Thanks so much for watching and for commenting! We appreciate you very much.
