theres a trick to shift the 86 series, when it wont go into gear, push the shift as hard as you can the high low lever, and let the clutch out a little while your pushing the shifter, and it should pop into gear, thats what we do with our 986, but our 986 has 10500 hours so it shifts fairly hard

most times it'll pop right in.. but ya i no that trick. my friends 986 is the same way. u have 2 be hard on it.. where did i say are?? can u give me a time so i no what ur talking about?

I had to pause you video. you have 38 centers with stepup rims.so you can run 42" tires . this is the right looking way to setup an 86 makes them look like a brut
they look good on her.. but i dont care 4 how high it makes her.. im not not sure if the smaller 86's can have these big tires on, but i dont see y not..
We dont need that plow anyway lol! Nice tractor, seems to run good for almost 9k! Ever thought of putting a rear blower on it?

i dont no what 16.8 ×38's look like but im sure i can look it up.. y i say not 2 go biger is becuz it makes ur tractor taller up, mines a pain 2 get in2 it.. & its a bitch if ur parked on a hill like it is now.. i like the tire size thats on my friends 1086. their way smaller then mine.
from what i could see the fronts r 14L-161SL.. if thats a thing & the rears r 10.4 r-42. if thats a thing as well..

u should be fine with what u have now? i dont think u go any faster with biger tires.
it's a 42" rim . the 10.8 is the width of the bead
o ok.. but ya i dont think u can go any bigger then this. but 2 no 4 sure would be 2 call a case ih dealer, they'ed have all the info on tire sizes 4 the 86's

Nice video. Is that your first time chisel plowing? You should have put the duals on! Why can't you hook the plow up by yourself? The field will definitely need some disking too. Time to put that tractor on the list of "things I have"
thanks. :) sure is.. ya i should but then i could not make tight turns. i cant do it becuz i dont have a jack 2 lift it. + trying 2 put the pin back in would be a bitch. & + the pin setup was junk.. ya we'll disk it next year.. ya i need 2 update that thing...lol

Used to run my 1586 so exhaust so hot i would bubble paint off the hood lol 1100 degress all I can say is thank god for CVT and powershift transmissions lol
u can see that the last owners did that 2 this tractor.. lol

they look like the rims are wider than the regular 86 series rims

i think all 86 series can have different rims.. mine has the big tires on it..
take your time don't think any thing bigger. than 20.8 will fit

i have duals but there junk. im sure a disc chisel plow would be better then this 1. but it got the job done. i want over it a 2nd time.
