Rehoboam and Jeroboam both were not on the path of God ... n all 12 tribes will be punished till the judgement day ...

My question is: If Samaritans were descendants of the people from the Northern kingdom of Israel, why did the people from the kingdom of Judah later began treating them as gentiles?

What happened to don't kill the messenger thing
Sounds like the Hebrew God either got played or played himself by splitting the kingdom and giving 10 tribes to Jeroboam, only for Jeroboam and subsequent kings of Israel to later turn to idolatry. Oh well!
