The animators should have had the firemen carrying a Halligan Bar. It's a specialized triple-spike pry bar for tearing out doors. But the animators probably aren't in this hemisphere, so what the heck.
It doesn't really make sense how a crowbar can penetrate darkseid's eyes. The metal would be broken if he tried that as his eyes are supposed to be so durable.

I like the idea that he is so powerful that practically no one can defeat Darkseid 1 on 1. It takes a full team of powerful individuals and a coordinated effort to defeat him. And even if you coordinate it, theres still a rather slim chance that you will defeat him. It really shows that yes, he is that powerful, that even with a team, you still will most likely lose.
And apparently his kryptonite is crowbars

@@angsty_saint I don't think it's the crowbar that took out is eye, it was mainly Shazam's big ball of lightning, the crowbar acted as a conductor so that is probably why it did not burn up

In fairness, I think once a sword is jammed into your eyesocket, "cunning" just isn't a thing anymore. He's in significant pain and is probably feeling "defiled" that lesser beings had done this to him. In both the Superman Animated Series and the comics, he responded to Superman punching him with, "You *DARE* strike me?!" The loss of his other eye only seemed to drive him further into frenzy. These *maggots* have humiliated him.

I must admit, through that coordinated strike, Shazam proved to be VERY helpful. Particularly at that part where he uses what I can only assume is a Magical Shock Wave to push quite a number of Parademons away.

I'm explaining this heavily on the way professor zoom did in the movie.

If we use ABC.logic, Superman managed to get the better of Imperiex, who is universal at base level. And Darkseid beats Superman all the time. So by that logic Darkseid>Superman>Universal entities. And Wonder Woman has never been universal.
And then there's the time where Darkseid blew apart the Anti Monitor's armor with one shot of the omega beams and severely harmed him when the same Monitor was basically unharmed by anything Diana did. And he went on to one shot her.
Flashing jumping in air with no fear is just awesome.
Was great seeing the League operating as a cohesive unit, and coordinating their attacks.
After seeing JLDAW I can safely say, they should have killed him here.
I don't think it's actually him in this movie but one of his avatars which is why he's having trouble fighting. In AW that was his real body so it's much more powerful. Though I don't know if my theory is correct

Favorite scene in the movie, just past the scene where they punch him back into the portal. The scene showcases them both as individuals and as a team, even though they don't do much to slow Darkseid, it did feel like they contributed to the battle and actually had some impact in it. The teamwork and the combined colored-blasts of Shazam, Cyborg, and Hal with Diana rushing in is very satisfying
Honestly I'm really liking this new version of Flash
He put in so much work during all of the fights, against the parademons and against even Darkseid
Really happy that the writers remember that Flash is no joke when he gets serious

When Wonder Woman had Darkseid loosoed, is it possible for her to ask “what’s the easiest way to kill you?” Or is there a canon reason that won’t work?
You can ressist the question and darkseid is like the Second most ressistent thing in the universe
Exceptionally strong willed beings can resist the compulsion to answer the lasso’s question, but even they would eventually be compelled to speak - Batman is one such individual who falls in this category.
Against Gods/New Gods, then answering the lasso’s question is slim - thier physiologies and godly power affords them a massive amount of resistance to weapons like the lasso.
I believe there was a New52 book where Darkseid fights the Anti-Monitor and both are evenly matched. Diana manages to lasso the Anti-Monitor but he is able to resist and throw them aside so it would be fair to say Darkseid could resist the lassos power also.
@@moonrock115 No Darkseid CAN'T resist the lasso's power lol. it worked on the Phantom Stranger and Spectre for pete's sake! and they are Way above Darkseid. the lasso is a hax weapon and should work on EVERYONE. that's its main aspect. the RARE moments in which it won't, its simply bad writing
@@NJ-eo2oc Except that there have been individuals who can resist the Lasso for a time or in some rare instances resist it alltogether. The Anti-Monitor resisted both the Lasso Of Truth and the Lasso Of Domination during Darkseid War and he's on a level on par with Darkseid if not higher. Also the Spectre i'd place on a similar level to Darkseid, his mere presence wouldn't break the multiverse or universe he's in for instance while if Darkseid did so in his true form...yeah not even the Spectres walking away from that.
I don't know much about the Phantom Stranger but every instance i've seen of him he doesn't do much so i can't judge his power scaling to Darkseid.
Batman has resisted the lasso through sheer willpower, as has Steve Trevor (though perhaps for not as long).
While the Lasso does compel you to speak the truth, if you have immense power and will you can resist its enchantment for a time but given long enough you'll succumb to it in the end. Its only in rare instances like the above mentioned Anti-Monitor's case, where a being can fully resist the lasso entirely. Darkseid is capable of resisting the Lasso and since the Anti-Monitor wasn't affected by it, the same feat could also be attributed to Darkseid given thier similar power levels.

Darkseid is weaker in this movie but way larger physically compared to Apokolips War.
I personally thought he seemed weaker in Apokolips War, it was the Paradooms that killed everyone.
I'm sure there's some underlying retcon that states this was just one of his Avatars or something.

Wonder Woman is a real battle genius. She knows the Omega beams are trouble so she goes for his eyes. Everytime she fights Superman that’s the first thing she does so he can’t use heat vision

Just look up any clip here on CZcams with him in it from the classic animated Justice League cartoon for reference. Sure, he is strong enough to be able to face Superman in combat, but he is also a James Bond villain-esque mastermind too. Far from the moronic, grunting brute that is shown in this movie.
