How she talks with elderly people, how her fellow colleagues talk about her professionalism and bubbly character,how she reads a lot of books and always thinks hard what to answer on her interviews so she could inspire her fans, or how she always sent presents and went to see the mother of late activist in Korea(she participated in a film about it) , or how she always asks everyone to stay healthy at the end of her interviews???? There are many good things about her but you choose to say rumours and her mistakes! Come on,everyone makes mistakes but you need to be able to say sorry genuinely and she did that. @wonseone You are absolutely correct. This channel seems to be an outlet for haters to gather and voice their displeasure randomly. On checking the channel page you can clearly see that this is dedicated to finding all the miniscule details about anyone and inflating them in a totally biased narrative. Then they frame it as if they were simply asking a question and gaslight the viewers into thinking that they formed the opinions themselves. Seriously hope that the viewers realize this and leave these kinds of contents to the sad and hateful people. Unless there is any unforseen circumstances this will be my last time watching this channel.
You know the Asian culture has a higher limit on shameful behavior that can end the actor's careers. But you make an excellent point, if they believe in karma, then her needle will definitely be in the good part .
This video makes it seem like she's got soo many haters when that's simply not true. The amount of people that may dislike her is miniscule. She's one of the most liked korean actresses by fans, directors, producers, fellow actors, and writers. I am a big fan of hers but I am a realist, if she were to ever do something troubling I'd hold her accountable (like the translation mishap) but most of what she is accused of is very benign. The translation "scandal" lasted one day, she apologized sincerely, learned from her mistake, and everyone moved on (plus it's her management that should be blamed most imo since it's on them to give her the tools she needed and advised her correctly). Korean journalists are snobs that find terrible flaws in celebrities in the tiniest details. Her personality is bubbly and carefree (never disrespectful) and they are used to/prefer celebrities to be reserved and quiet. She goes against the norm so they dislike that (and its not even that many journalists that stated that).
Also, I guess not many people know or realize that a lot of actors take props from projects they work on. She's kept something as a souvenir from every show/movie she's done. It's not a big deal. When there's something important that a production needs/wants to keep they make sure they have it, she wouldn't be going around publicly stating that she has ____. They won't just let it go missing lol.
The thing with her friend happened in elementary, she was a literal child, and they're still friends. That should say enough.

Translating is hard, expensive, and always filled with errors. She (her management agency) simply asked native speakers who understand Korean to translate. If a fan wants to do it for free what’s the problem? She didn’t do anything wrong. Still a huge international fan here! She is so talented and beautiful. I hope for the best for her.

She’s a really good actress. Is she a bad person? Who really knows unless you actually get to sit down and interact directly on several occasions. One thing too is there’s always two sides to a story, so sometimes people see what they want. I have to give her the benefit of the doubt.
For the volunteer work, that’s why it’s called volunteer. You do it to help without expecting reward. I’ve helped with subtitles before in an oversight capacity. It would only be me to decide whether it’s good or bad for me, not anyone else.
This video seems very heavily biased and honestly makes no sense. She's hated because she asked fans for help on subtitling her vlogs, but before that they were upset due to lack of subtitles?...I mean I have to say, I am a big fan of her work and think she is very talented. I don’t know her personally but from what I’ve seen in her I’m 100000% sure she never wants to harm anyone or anything at all. Whatever she does I’ll support her as always. Btw I also signed up for the translation job and I was so happy to help without caring about money or anything at all.

Honestly, this video was pretty heavily biased. I’d like to see you make one on her good points to see if they balance out. Because I really don’t see a problem with asking fans for help, they could always say no if they didn’t want to. This whole thing seems very petty. My point was the source of bad stories about her came from herself and not from an offended party. That means if the supposed victims of her were not offended by her actions then she couldn’t be that awful person as the rumors made her out to be. The stories sounded worse that what actually happened because she may have exaggerated her stories a bit.

These are probably some of the most MEH reasons to hate a celebrity that I have seen lol I get that she shouldn't have asked for people to make the subtitles voluntarily but there are many content creators that rely on people making subtitles for them for free. Maybe they are not *asking* for it, but it happens. Seems like a misunderstanding for me. As for the rest... anyone, especially a woman, that doesn't act demure in SK is seen as problematic. Maybe she's just not very "traditional"? Idk.
I think the best thing about Korean stars is that they get the most unwarranted negative press but it generaly has 0 effect on their popularity... probably cause theyre all stunningly hot but could be because cultural standards are higher for them and and one of those standards is relatability. even negative press often just becomes a way for the fans to defend their favorite star

I'm sure we all have made some kind of mistakes before or spoke something that might offend somebody. From all the things mentioned in this video, I don't find anything she did extremely bad or unforgivable. I believe there are so many good things about her as well. Imagine if this video was about myself or any of us doing something not nice. It wouldn't be that much different (probably longer list 😂 ). Nobody is perfect after all. As long as she didn't try to severely hurt or kill anybody, that's good enough.
This is pretty ridiculous. In the days of torrenting movies and tv shows, translation and subtitles were done by volunteers, as it was community based. So it's not that bad of an ask as you make it out to be.

This is not the first time Korean artists suffer about translation issues. Problem is agencies should takes care of it but they burden on artists. Unfortunately not artists paid well and some are not willing to do it because they are already busy with their jobs or they’re doing live because agencies ask them to do so otherwise they like their private life.

People have been upset about the lack of subtitles.
She then came up with a great idea to solve that issue.
People could have done the work themselves. They wouldn't receive money, but the exposure of each vlog episode was clearly above 1 million views. Business people usually pay for that level of exposure.
Also, translating takes a lot of time? If you speak both languages, a 40-60 minute video would take about 2hrs to translate and less than an hour to work it into the video (assuming you know what you are doing, since you applied to do it.)
The 2hrs translation time include potential noise issues, like a car engine howling louder than the spoken sentence.
To me she is a free spirited lady...I love her personality and way of life❤❤..I can't hate her for any reasons....we are all humans
