Will the Ateliers Phileas Yokohama Leather A5 Notebook Cover fit the Hobonichi 5-Year Techo?

In this video, I share my thoughts and experiences using the Ateliers Phileas Yokohama Leather A5 Notebook Cover for my Hobonichi 5-Year Techo. When I was shopping for Hobonichi 5-Year covers, I found it challenging to determine whether something without being able to try them in person, so I hope this video is helpful for you if you’re considering this cover! oh that Ateliers Phileas cover looks so beautiful, I'd been eyeing Nomado Store's collection of them for a while now! what a bummer that it doesn't quite fit the A5 Hobonichi 5-Year, but I hope you'll be able to use the beautiful cover for some future A5 notebooks or otherwise. thank you so much for sharing! 🤗

I have trimmed the brown from each side, and it should fit without harming the book. It is the two ends, even when not in the leather it is not even noticeable. Once it is in the leather, you are leaving it for 5 years. You won't even remember. No need to trim top and bottom, just the sides. Or it you need to trim the height, just the brown edge all the way around, and you will never know it was there. Just a thought.😊

I’d rather risk damaging the Hobo than the very expensive Ateliers Phileas cover. I have the blue cordovan A5 cover from them. It’s stunning.
The blue cordovan cover is so pretty! I agree that the cover is stunning and incredibly well-made.
You could always cut a half inch off the front cover of the Hobo. I mean, it’s 5 yrs.
I didn't feel ready to permanently alter my Hobo cover. 😅 If I were comfortable doing so, I agree it would have been a good solution!
