same lol. i've heard this version before though, this specific video seems to have some sort of reverb effect to it layered ontop of what I think is Las Vegas.
I really like this version, it feels so haunting and yet beautiful. I think it's the combination of the obviously not studio quality recording, the different lyrics and just the song being really good in general
he was sick of his clock stopping, winds him up, that girl's still snoring next to him. he was sick of her excuses, to not take off her dress when bleeding in the bathroom. the watch smashed and he got restless, he started using broken english, "no alarms and no surprises, no alarms and no surprises, no alarms and no surprises." he was, he was, he was your final fit, your final bellyache. with no alarms and no surprises, no alarms and no surprises, no alarms and no surprises, please.
@@derry9755 in fact there are two different chords, Thom used F#m7 to replase the Em and a B7 to replase the A The whole song is played with the capo on 3rd fret. Hope i help you 🤟🏻

For some reason every single version of No Surprises is being recommended to me
I see this as an absolute win
I’m glad this is happening to someone else too

The album version is just too “pretty”…
Like obnoxiously cute
And this is the essence of
This song
If they ever do their “last” album this version should close it. Just Thom with an acoustic, it’s so powerful.
Even if you're the happiest person, Thom's voice can make you sad in a minute.
That key change is gorgeous
I’ve always preferred this to the album version, it’s special
he was sick of his clock stopping,
winds him up, that girl's still snoring next to him.
he was sick of her excuses,
to not take off her dress when bleeding in the bathroom.
the watch smashed and he got restless,
he started using broken english,
"no alarms and no surprises,
no alarms and no surprises,
no alarms and no surprises."
he was, he was,
he was your final fit, your final bellyache.
with no alarms and no surprises,
no alarms and no surprises,
no alarms and no surprises, please.
Elaborate ? Wdym bout bleeding
1:58 sounds better than the album version to me for some reason
the minor transpose from GM to AM , its sounds more depressing its awesome
@@randhika5636 can u tell me that part chord, im a bit guitar noob
@@derry9755 play normal no surprises chords but with capo 3 and change the last chorus from (Em, A, Em, A, Em, A) to (Em, A, F#m, Bm, Em, A)
@@WiseRiley when I tried the chords out I think b sounds better than b minor
@@derry9755 on that part that thom go abit higher, i think he use F#m and then B7
Such a beautiful representation....of the horror.
Surprisingly good sound quality for a bootleg
According to another video this is actually a sound test recording

Where did this footage come from? Idk how it fits so well
One of the live performances from 1995
This video looks much older, do you mean the audio?
@@rseasyguidesto yeah I meant the video
old footage of las vegas in the 80’s, looks like the strip

would of loved the album release to include that change up at 1:58
Same. Such a lovely melody.

Thank you I've been looking for this version for a while

TYSM I'VE BEEN SEARCHING FOR THIS
shoulda kept the key change…
No surprises please.
The lyrics are the same as the acoustic version of No Surprises though, which Thom Yorke singed at a concert.

Where TF this audio from
Minidiscs [Hacked]
wdym bootleg. This is the demo
I want to clarify, this isn't Thom Yorke then? I am not familiar with the word "bootleg"
a bootleg is like a rip of it from a live performance or something. an illegal copy
Video game bootlegs are completely different in meaning to any other type of bootlegs, it just means unofficial or unlicensed or leaked
It obviously is Thom lol
