They are talking about the 16th Daytime Emmys, which aired June 29, 1989. When they did this particular taping for Attitudes is unclear, as it was possibly taped many weeks earlier, but Robin Mattson was born June 1, 1956, and Marcy on November 26, 1961. So at the time of this taping, Robin was about 33, and Marcy was 27. Host, Linda Dano was about 46. To me, they seem much older and mature for their ages. But that was how it was back then.
That year, Marcy presented for Best Supporting Actress. Robin was nominated, but the award went to Nancy Grahn / Debbi Morgan in a tie. Robin presented (but it's not indicated for which category), but Marcy did win for Best Actress. Linda Dano & Nancy Glass were nominated for best talk show host for Attitudes, but lost to Sally Jessy Raphael.
Santa Barbara was nominated multiple times, but won awards for: Best Hairstyling, Best Make-Up, Best Writing, Best Drama Series, Best Lead Actor, Best Lead Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress (in a tie), and Best Juvenile Male.
