Even after looking up everything I could about this and hearing about how they trained this algorithm, it still blows my mind that everything we're hearing was made by an AI. I cannot wait to see what it cranks out in the future.

It's going to be the death of music, started with Napster, everyone thought downloading for free streaming for free what's the big deal well 85% of musicians can no longer live off their music even just to keep lights on and food to eat this bullshit here is going to be the final nail in the coffin and take humanity out of music why can't people see that this is bullshit. Not real computer generated bullshit. Im a real metal vocalist. I work with people who use real fuckin instruments. This is like a middle finger to us. At least anyone with foresight.

My husband sent me the link to this video and aked me what I think who made it. Me, listening to it without reading comments, said, "sounds like an Amon Amarth side project". Was stunned from hearing it's a AI's work. Absolute insane, how far we come. You know, there are plently of AI work out there with funny, but not really good results. This is mind blasting. It results in permanent headbanging. Really really nice. Grettings from RL!
First of all it shows, how predictable and replacable commercial 'metal' has become.
They'll never grow old, they'll live forever, they can perform perfectly every single time, they require no resources except for electricity. It's like the "perfect artist". As a guitarist in a band, I'm a little nervous at best

But for a specific niche of people who don't need them to be real people they can interact with. Going to a show will be like going to a club, which is not enough for you and I but is for someone out there

take you favorite song, feed the lyrics into Chatgpt and telling it to rewrite the song as .....and get creative and see what it pumps out.. i continue to be blown away.. and skeptical of every piece of content i see.. including my own..lma
Producer's actually put this together.. The A.I. came up with the sound but couldn't make out anything was just a bunch of noise. The producers gave it more of a structured groove for it to be a song
I‘m a melodic death metal fanatic and i absolutely love this! The verse is brutal af and the chorus is so catchy, its in my ears all the time

Its unfortunate because AI will eventually ruin human creativity. Yes some will continue to draw, paint and create music, but the level will diminish as we are projecting in a downward trend.

If you want some tips for your trip into metal I recommend Amon Amarth(they sound very similar) for more of this but if ya want more epic fantasy just lookup power metal..it;s the genres entire schtick lol(except sabaton who does historical war stuff..Or Grailknights who just does glorious cheese in superhero outfits)

It's an well executed application of technology but it's hardly new. it's basically Amon Amarth with vox synths.

Of course AI doesn't do this all by itself.
It's algorithm written to produce music. All different parameters have been fed into it in order to produce this.
AI IMHO is a fad.
This song is passable at best and I don't think that any algorithm generated music can really replace real people making music.

I personally like the song. But tastes are different. I can imagine that at least background music is generated by AI in near future. But a whole album? Just as an art project.
So you're saying the AI I'm using at work for creating my python scripts are a fad? I disagree. When that is said, I totally understand what you're saying. If we're considering sentient AI, thats definitely something else, where as in this case, an algorithm-trained AI created this, it's just a matter of perspective. Maybe AI isn't really the correct word to use, when describing a trained computer.
@@kayDawgTV The way i see the difference between the AI we have now and actual sentience is how the information is obtained by the AI. Right now AI depends upon a base of information that is provided by humans that they can then generate new information from, but it will always be restricted by the base of information and wont be truly sentient. A sentient AI would be able to produce its own information using logic and reasoning and would be able to observe or test its ideas and continue to develop upon them, not relying on a human provided base of information but synthesizing its own. Until then all we have are Algorithmic AI, which are still capable of changing the world and are making good progress in doing so, but it isnt artificial sentience, that is a whole other beast that people actually should be worried about if it ever comes.
@@JorisVDC you underestimate that humans have limitations that AI doesnt have. A real singer has a limited vocal range and techniques. AI isnt limited to that. Its not limited to humanly possible sounds either. Ai can play the guitar faster than any human guitarrist ever could. It can play instruments that would require 30 fingers to play. AI can produce sounds that are literally impossibly for humans to create and harmonise 200 different instruments PERFECTLY. AI can ply the most complex songs with zero errors even such that were written to show the limitations of human capability because no human can ever play these without mistake
