  • Some students make mistakes counting ribs, here are my tips.
Yes, it's the right 6th rib. I glanced at it in the intro instead of following my own suggestions.

Radiology and Anatomy are very integrated. It's beautiful to see.
I would love to see more of x-ray, mri, maybe even ultrasound (👀) in your channel! Thank you Sam Webster ❤

isn't the first cxy under-exposed, i'm a little confused, thought it being so bright on the film and not being able to see the vertebral disc space in the heart shadow means it is not exposed enough? Am I crazy..?

The radiograph that is described as being overexposed is actually converse to this description. A lot of the radiographs in this video are low kV chest radiographs. It is more common for high kV chest radiographs to be performed to reduce the subject contrast of the anatomy. @ sam webster - happy to discuss.

Not x-ray related, but when plastic surgeons say they'll take a bit of cartilage from the rib for a rhinoplasty which bit do they usually take and does it not matter?

That radiograph is technically "underexposed " not "overexposed". 😂

Hate to correct you Sam as I find your anatomy videos brilliant BUT... at 3 mins you say the chest xray is a bit Overexposed....Its a bit UNDEREXPOSED.
