WOW Nicholas. I lost my right finger at the same length as yours in a sawmill. That was in 2000. Sadly I lost the knuckle in my thumb at the same time. There were no 3D printers back then, so I have learnt to live without it. I've had to learn how to play the guitar again And I do ok. What I hate most is scratching my nose, it looks like I'm giving someone the bird :-) 3D printer arrives next week CR-10s. So once I get the hang of it... It will the first serious project... Looking forward to giving friends the two fingers. instead of the ultra rude one.. Ha Ha Ha

First I'd like to say thank you for all of your fine work. I'm currently doing a pla print of the finger for a friend of mine. The first one is just a test model. My buddy has been missing his trigger finger since for 12yrs and while he has gotten by and adapted he still can't shoot his right handed bolt action rifles. We are hoping that this will remedy his problem.... fingers crossed

I made one, by adopting exact structure at front and making hinge at bottom which will connect finger and solid structure, which goes to wrist, and Connect with wrist band.

@@helamanavalos9806 I did build it and it helped but it was kinda fragile so I actually ended up designing my own custom metal partly robotic finger with a different design. It definitely helps. My circulation on that hand is bad now and it’s always cold so I put a small built in hand warmer and other useful stuff. If you’re interested, I’m doing a build video on it soon. I can reply back again when it’s up just lmk😁

It’s likely going to be your printer. It may your the Z access is too high or ando too much extrusion. I printed these fingers this weekend and everything assembled fine.

What kind of filaments did you use for the finger
I use really sturdy 65# braided fishing line for the filiment, and 1.5mm elastic bead cord.
