Hi Abbey! I saw a video where a hairdresser said the Pureology leave-in spray is not a great heat protecting spray. They said as a conditioner, it's fine, but to use a blow dry heat protectant cream in addition. Anything that claims to be "multitasking" can not be a great product. Hey Abbey, I know you’re happy with your weekly washing but I just discovered that I can wash my hair at the scalp only! I just wanted to let anyone know who might not have heard of it. Basically you put your hair in a ponytail, pull the hair tie away from your scalp a bit and wrap it in a plastic bag secured with another hair tie and then I put my shower cap on top, too. Then I shampoo and rinse it while holding the braid/ponytail up. I pat it dryish after the shower, take out the plastic bag and blow dry it which takes like 10 minutes. My ends stay completely dry :-) It’s definitely a bit fuzzy BUT I’m trying hard to grow my hair to hip length and it’s really fine/fragile, also the weekly wash doesn’t work for me. So I wash it normally once a week and do this method also once a week. It leaves my hair feeling totally clean, it’s of course not as clean as after a normal wash but for the 2-3 days afterwards it’s fine.

I used to wash my hair once a week, using dry shampoo half way through the week. I found that worse than instead of using the dry shampoo to just wash my hair twice a week, it allows me to alsp rotate between k18 and olaplex, plus dry shampoo isn't exactly good for your scalp health
Yep. Washing twice a week is much better than only once a week. Dry shampoos aren’t meant to use that frequently. That could have caused the issue also:)
Try Derma E scalp relief shampoo. Can be used every day (I don’t) but has definitely helped with my seborrheic dermatitis. More than prescription shampoos, etc.

Yep, I have to wash my hair three times a week, I have never been able to go with anything less 😢 I hate washing so much but it is what works best for me. My favorite nail polish right now is a vampy red, olive and June has a beautiful one called obsessed and I am obsessed lol And yes to a part 3😊
I feel the same way about the Dyson air wrap. I love mine (got 1st Gen one from dyson outlet refurbished, so I only paid about $400), but I would never tell anyone they *need* to get it. But for me? Worth every penny. I have textured hair and a ton of it, and it makes doing my hair less painful & something I actually look forward to most of the time. Personally, you can’t put a price on that. As a result, I only suggest it to friends who feel the same way about their hair (worried about it a lot), and if I think that the amount of relief it would give them would outweigh the large chunk of cash they’d have to spend to get it.
Question: how do you normally sleep with your hair each night? It sounds like you use the sleepy tie when you have curls to preserve/a blowout, but what about just during everyday nights? e.g. silk head wrap, or braid, or bun
I have fine thin hair and I have spent years trying to find a way to not shower everyday being that my scalp gets oily so easily. I usually work out everyday and sweat profusely from my scalp so not showering isn’t an option. It’s rough. Lol

So do you use dazzle dry base, transform, lights lacquer, then dazzle dry top coat? I didn't know that would work, so glad you mentioned this because like you I love dazzle dry system but not their colors! Please tell me if this is how you use regular polish with their system!
I love your videos and they have really helped my hair journey! How do you know if you have protein overload? My hair feels soft-ish and is shiny, but I continue to have severe breakage, especially at the scalp, which makes no sense to me because I t4y to follow all of your suggestiondls like: I do not put my hair in high or tight ponytails, don't use much heat ( I only blow dry like twice a week and very rarely use a straightener or curler) I use heat protection, use the wetbrush, don't sleep with wet hair, use only the hoisery elastics, etc. Have used Olaplex, Amika The Cure and am now using K-18 (I only use one brand at a time). Oh. And I have virgin hair. HELP!
do you have any tips for people who swim in chlorine (i.e. pools) a lot? I'm never sure whether I should shampoo my ends if I come out of the water because I thought since chlorine is bad I'd have to remove all of it thoroughly? & is there a point to oil my hair before I go into the pool? does that protect it? I don't know there are a million questions regarding pool water!! on top of that I have curly hair which is obviously dry .-.

She mentions in another vid her first wash is with a detox/clarifying shampoo and the second wash is with a regular shampoo so it's not as drying!

do you have any tips for people who swim in chlorine (i.e. pools) a lot? I'm never sure whether I should shampoo my ends if I come out of the water because I thought since chlorine is bad I'd have to remove all of it thoroughly? & is there a point to oil my hair before I go into the pool? does that protect it? I don't know there are a million questions regarding pool water!! on top of that I have curly hair which is obviously dry .-.

Love your videos as always! I got a quick question. I just purchased the leave in conditioner from Purology and the WOW spray you mention in the video. Is it ok to use both at the same time? Leave in conditioner first then the wow spray? And is that enough heat protection? Sorry loads of questions!!! Just really conflicted 🤯🤯

I am afraid of clarifying shampoos in general, granted all I can find here is Sauve. But I am confused. You only wash your hair once a week. Do you use a clarifying shampoo every time? Are you washing more often now?
