O'Leary should be held accountable for shilling for FTX. He was not just some celebrity, he is a very experienced investor who convinced a lot of people to invest in a terrible company with horrible management.

In another interview, O'Leary implied that he only lost a portion of the 15 million they agreed to pay him. In other words, he came out ahead, I believe to the tune of either 9 million or 6 million.

Something that has always struck me about Kevin is, he is the type of guy that has no problem achieving financial successes for himself but, will not hesitate to pull up the ladders to success behind him. When he gets caught making bad decisions, which is more regularly than he would like I’m sure, he does and says things even dumber to put people in a worse off position. Just look at how he threw binance completely under the bus. Look at his statement “I fell prey to group think.” Regulating binance the way he’s talking about, is what would completely destroy binance, in my opinion.

Kevin O'Leary watches every dollar closely. He said he wasn't sure exactly how much he lost. He said he thought he lost it all. But he was paid $15M after taxes, invested between $9.7M and $11M, depending on which statement was correct. The difference between what I have after taxes and what I invest (keep write-offs in mind) is pure profit, i.e. money in my pocket. He made $4M minimum before write-offs. It's basic math and Kevin knows basic math, let alone financial manipulation tactics.
So, essentially, Kevin O'Leary lied.

There was a whole explanation leading up to that statement. Talking about how binance owes 20% of ftx and the would allow ftx move into other markets. So, after ftx tried to buy back the binance shares to be able to move into new markets. He also said that if this was stocks of a company and the 2 largest share holders r trading without notifying the other share holder would be illegal. Just some nuance to that short clip.
