- This was the public presentation and defense of my Ph.D. thesis research from the Department of Biological Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The introduction was given by my thesis advisor, Professor Peter C. Dedon. This presentation was recorded live on the MIT campus on May 13, 2014.
I am still an undergrad and the whole prospect of presenting something just gets me extremely anxious.

Great presentation! Congratulations!
Thyis is what a future dean of a university looks like in his 30's...
Excellent presentation Brandon, I have no interest in bacteria but you kept me captivated by your topic through the end. Great job and I hope you are doing great in your career👍
I appreciated hearing the thought processes, rejected considerations, and strategies employed in the research. Showing the graphs of data outputs also is appreciated. I wish you the best of success, Mr. Russell.

Watching this and my defense is coming up, thanks for the boost!
The question period for you went so smooth! Mine was brutal including hazing mocking and sarcasm every which way.
Thank you so much
