My grandparents were members of the Clube Uniao Faialense in New Bedford and they lived a life I still envy and will never have-trips, dancing, social events-you name it, they did it through the club. There was a waiting list so somebody literally had to die so you could get in. I know the club is still around, and I hope it’s going as strong as ever. RIP to my Nanas and Papas and all the aunts and uncles, giants and legends all.
