You were the last. That's what you assumed for a long time.
Trapped in a zoo, studied by human scientists, poked and prodded, you'd given up all hope. What point was there in trying? You'd attempted escape so many times. You'd made your plans, once you'd even broken out, but they would always drag you back.
They were killing you. They didn't know it, and you didn't tell them. The drugs they were testing on you were slowly and surely killing you.
Werewolves aged very slowly. But their drugs were counteracting that. They didn't know that. They thought they were finding a way for themselves to live forever.
You didn't bother trying to correct them.
You didn't want to live forever, or even as long as you would have.
All your family was dead. Your pack was gone. There was no one else.
You were ready to die, too.
One day, your scientists, your zoo, met with another. They brought you, drugged and muzzled, to a new cage.
And you met another.
Another one of you. Another Last Werewolf. And she was kind.
She was your only friend. And she understood your desire for the end. She wanted it too. You waited for the end together.

Well that was a downer yet realistic in a somber in how we have animals that are or where last of there kind in captivity and these last of their kind has humas as a part or flat out the reason why they are going or have gone extinct.
Also really hope this one doesn't share a world with another story that has werewolfs.
