Shout out to the great work you do week after week. I personally have barely any time to play because of IRL BS, but your weekly metagame videos are great to watch while taking a quick break from life and it keeps me current so when things calm down I can jump right back in. Well done!
Thanks a lot!
Thanks for another detailed look into the metagame and where decks stand.
I'll probably wait until after the MH3 metagame shakes out before putting a paper deck together.
That makes sense to me. You can always just bet on affinity to be honest
@@kalikaizor the most fun combo, poison storm
Pauper is still diverse and fun but I'm so sick of mono red. And how many cards does affinity need to get banned from the format, it doesn't matter cause yet again the two most broken cards from mh3 were you guessed it, more affinity cards, ram and refurbished familiar.
Hahaha thats why i build this Mono White Heroic. Mono red and BR madness must be punished
Same bud, Everything could be fixed with a simple ban on the Mirrodin lands. But to be fair Bridges would be best.
Diverse but 1/4 mono red yeah it is frustrating
In real person the mono red player is less common
@@ohmsford94 unfortunately my local scene is all modern and a bit of pioneer, no pauper. I only play online and it's like every two matches.
i presume the podcast is too much effort for too little payoff, but i miss it 😢
thanks for all your work though
The podcast is something that I find pretty difficult to organize and I always feel like I'm behind. It's still on my back burner but it's a lot more work. I appreciate that!
Why use Fog of War instead of Respite?
I have no clue haha
Fog of War is each creature, while Respite is only attacking creature. Could be scenarios where you want to cast Fog of War as a simple lifegain spell not during combat.
@@hennybuggy4 thanks!
The main reason is that Fog of War can be cast in upkeep or even your turn to reduce the chance of getting burned out in response. A common situation is that burn will get you to, like, 5 life and have 1 card in hand, so waiting til combat gives them the out of topdecking a second bolt. Respite is also easy to play around if you're at a low life total since they can swing for lethal with just a few creatures. In practice respite often only gains you ~3 life, I find.
Fog of War also has some synergy with murmuring mystic but it doesn't really come up.
@@hennybuggy4 Although the flexibility is an advantage, the 3cmc vs 2cmc makes a big difference since the deck wants to cast multiple spells (e.g. Weather the Storm, Arcane Denial for card draw). The only advantage for Fog of War I can think of is against Cascade Walls.
honestly the new affinity 2/1 makes me not want to play pauper affinity is fine as it is now but with that card i doubt that will be the case
i comment
Appreciate!
Banning the lands doesn't fix anything.
Why not ask to strengthen other decks instead of so much ban?
Furthermore, if they ban lands, they don't do it to a single card, they do it to one of the largest investments for a player in the pauper format.
The format has too few decks to destroy many at once.
The PFP has zero control over what is printed
@@kalikaiz I know. It's simply that I always see the same people complaining about the same thing and without great foundations.
@@hellboy7424 as soon as the bridges were spoiled in mh2 they were an obvious ban target. They never have been banned and therefore continue to be discussed forever. Should have gone immediately
