      Yea all that knowledge and can't even grasp that. Hate Floyd or love him, he is the most complete boxer in the last 20 years. Floyd beats you with his brain, especially the latter of his career. Bud is the real deal and a better puncher at 147 than Floyd. But Floyd has the faster feet, better timing, better defense, smarter, you name it. Bud would have to do a Maidana. As good as Bud is and as "smart" as he is he's got into so many unnecessary fire fights, he lived to talk about it and entertain us fans. Respect. But Floyd is just too calculated and sees all the holes while avoiding risks. He was just too complete and disciplined.

    To all y'all thinking Spence still has a fight in him or can win a rematch at a higher weight listen to this man. I don't always see eye to eye with Tim, but he was the most truthful fighter ever when it came to talking about what it took to recover from a fight like the one with Ruslan Provodnikov. There is a reason why Roy Jones, Virgil Hunter, Kenny Porter, Antonio Tarver, Tim Bradley, and many others think Spence should hang it up now or at the very least take time off and really get checked out. This ain't hate, it's love from someone who's been there and wishes they made better choices.
    I love combat sports and sports in general but you pay a debt with your body that can never be repaid. Once you lose it, it's gone. Spence can go up and best some lesser fighters but he's never going to be the same. Plus, his pride won't let him fight at any less than the top-level guys, so that means more fights like the Crawford fight.

    Floyd would have big trouble against Crawford, Ray Leonard and Hearns at 147. Mosley was long past his prime when he fought Floyd. Yes he had just beat the boogeyman in the division in Margarito but was a totally different style etc. Crawford can do a lot of things that Floyd would really have to be careful with. Yes Floyd is a sharp shooter but I don’t know if he has enough pop to keep Crawford off of him.

    • @saihemebillings2820
      @saihemebillings2820 Před 10 měsíci +1

      That’s the issue , Floyd had real issues with southpaws and the two southpaws he fought did not train on the level as Bud, the switching abilities of Bud, the power in both hands as Bud, and most of all the IQ that’s probably equal to Floyd’s or maybe higher.

    • @BigSwo2909
      @BigSwo2909 Před 10 měsíci

      @@saihemebillings2820 facts.. Chop Chop stung him and Judah’s hand speed was apparent for at least 6 rounds. I don’t know how fast Bud’s hands are but he seems to do everything well. Plus like you said the switch hitting and doing that effectively also would be an issue. Crawford would also be comfortable at any pace that was set.

    • @TheRexrapper
      @TheRexrapper Před 8 měsíci

      Leonard and Hearns were natural welterweights so based off size alone they would be problematic. It would honestly depend on which version of Leonard and Hearns does Floyd run into. Duran beat Leonard because Duran had a lot of experience over Leonard. It plays a significant factor in the fight. Leonard was only 24. Hearns lost to Leonard because of experience as well. Hearns was only 22 when he fought Leonard. He had never been 15 rounds. He had never been through any adversity at that point in his career. Floyd would have a better chance against those versions.
      In regards to Crawford. Crawford isn't a pressure fighter. Crawford is a counter puncher like Floyd. The difference is Crawford loads up on his counters. He tries to land knockout shots when he counters. Floyd makes contact when he counters to account for a potential counter to his counter. Crawford would try to bait Floyd into mistakes. The issue is Floyd doesn't make enough of them for that to work.

    • @TheRexrapper
      @TheRexrapper Před 8 měsíci

      @@saihemebillings2820That's a narrative that never made any sense to me. People bring up Judah giving him issues. Castillo gave him more issues and he is Orthodox. People mention Corley hurting him but Maidana and Mosley hurt him and they were Orthodox fighters. Floyd has dominated every southpaw he's fought at the championship level.

    Man it's been a great time for boxing...Floyd is 1 of my favorite fighters ever but I'm glad that era is over b/c everybody all of sudden wanted to be these super defensive wizards & throwing 1 punch. Floyd made it seem like he just did it so he wouldn't be messed up after boxing, which may be true but he also did it b/c his hands were brittle so he couldn't let his hands go like he did b4. Its made to seem like u have to pick 1 or the other but u can still be a defensive genius & still be extremely offensive at the same time & in my opinion thats the definition of the sweet science. Being able to get in & throw combinations & get out. Also I'm happy that that undefeated thing isn't as upheld as it was when Floyd was fighting. At 1 point people looked at u as ur career was over with if u lose 1 fight, which is why we missed alot of good fights, b/c people didn'twanna lose their 0, but damn near every fighter we have in our top boxers have lost. Its about taking risk, either overcoming them that night or coming back after the fact & overcoming it, so I'm loving this current era of boxing where we're able to see these great fights when we wanna see them

      It’s funny cuz I actually think that the most *perfect* example of ‘that kind of Fighter… is the _2000-2005 version_ of _Floyd Mayweather._
      Imho, ‘the Mayweather that fought Corrales & Gatti’ is the Greatest, Most Perfect blend of Intelligence, Skill, Athleticism, Offense, & Defense-by any Boxer-That I have ever seen.

    I’m surprisedFloyd paid keyboard defense team ain’t at their stations to type up a frenzy about what Tim said about a Bud vs Floyd match. TBH All the athletic Black American fighters Floyd fought landed hard shots on Floyd and shook him from Chop chop Corley, to Augustus, to Sharmba Mitchell, to Zab, and Shane Mosley. So We know Bud would hit Floyd at some point and he has more firepower than all those bruthas, The big question is could Floyd recover and make adjustments.

    Bud been the best for five years and Mayweather has been revered and talked about from his first bout in 96’ till now. Enough said!!!

    What do all these well respected boxing analyst and former fighters have in common? They all look at canelo standing 5'7 with a 70 inch reach fighting as high as 175 and call him a weight bully. First he was duckin the charlos and now that hes called they're bluff he's a weight bully. Is there a bigger size difference between bivol and canelo or Crawford and canelo? I want all the subscribers to pay attention at how this comment will be conviniently overlooked

    Tim Bradley should have retired after the fight where he could not speak properly. I don't remember who it was, maybe the guy he is talking about on here. If you don't remember that fight look it up, Bradley's whole speech was jacked up

    Tim lost a lot of my respect with the tape cast accusations against Inoue. Did you know that a band-aid on your fist enables you to punch through steel whoah? Yeah no sh1t trust Tim on this. So sad he was a great fighter and insightful commentator.
