    Hey, Coaster Fanatics! There Is A Similar Coaster At Six Flags America! It Is Called Batwing And Is Based On Batman!

  • @elevatoralarmcoasterandarc1214

    Hey, Coaster Fanatics! When X-Flight first opened at Geauga Lake in 2001, it had a Light Green Track and Dark Gray Supports. When it moved to Kings Island and became Firehawk, the Track was repainted Red and the Supports were repainted Light Gray. Did you remember that?

  • @nicholasowen2338
    @nicholasowen2338 Před 6 lety

    I rode Firehawk when it was X-Flight at Six Flags/Geauga Lake and I remembering as a crazy fun coaster. It always seemed to me a precursor to the ‘4th Dimension’ coasters we have today. I hope it gets relocated to Michigan or another park, just not scrapped, but mainly for sentimental reasons. Thanks for the video and keep up the great work!

    I think Firehawk is being relocated to Kentucky Kingdom, the teasers they've been putting out points to it. The name of their new ride is called Kentucky flyer and they also posted a tweet saying you'll wanna watch our page like a hawk for our new announcement. Could be wrong but it seems possible

    • @CoasterFanatics
      @CoasterFanatics  Před 6 lety +1

      Yeah it is certainly possible. I don't see it though. Why would Kings Island sell the coaster to a park that is so close and direct competition. also this thing is a maintenance nightmare. I think Kentucky Kingdom needs to focus on being more modern. Firehawk will be a step back for that to happen. Still could happen though.

    i think it'll get sent to the scrap yard, and i would love to see them use SOB Station for the new Giga, but in all honesty there is not alot of room between The Bat and Banshee to get coaster Track In and out of that area. i hope they can do it tho would be a great re purpose for that station

  • @aom0129
    @aom0129 Před 6 lety

    I am thinking of that Firehawk would go to Kentucky Kingdom. They have announce a new ride called Kentucky Flyer, but they did not say if it is a flat ride or a coaster and may or may not have room. A giga coaster for Kings Island would be great addition.

  • @Jason_Maier

  • @brianbeduhn8138
    @brianbeduhn8138 Před 6 lety

    I think they’ll use the SOB station. Their teasers said “Number 5 is alive”. The giga would pass through the back of Firehawk’s land and into the Dino area. Firehawk’s plot is fairly flat and would make a good small midway.

    • @CoasterFanatics
      @CoasterFanatics  Před 6 lety

      Yeah I feel the same way. I'm on the SOB station bandwagon.

    • @joeykelly0157
      @joeykelly0157 Před 6 lety

      I think it could be themed to the sob but not use the station they would have to do a lot of work on the station for it to be stable enough for a coaster and fit the track they’d probably have to take the roof off to lift the track in but it could still be the cheaper option because there is already a queue line but idk we will have to see but it would be really cool though

    I'm curious as well to see what happens to Firehawk. It's a bit strange because people say it's better than Nighthawk. With only three of them built I'd imagine it's probably a pain to keep them running, although Six Flags does it with Batwing, maybe they'll buy the parts from Firehawk? I've never ridden a Vekoma Flying coaster, only a couple of B&Ms so I have no clue if they're even worth saving. From what I've heard they're not all that great so I hope I'm not missing out on anything.

    • @CoasterFanatics
      @CoasterFanatics  Před 6 lety +1

      They aren't that great. You haven't missed much to be honest. I believe all the usable parts will be sent to Carowinds so they can keep nighthawk running good over there. I don't think six flags will get anything out of the deal.

    I'd be okay with a giga, just not crazy about it being a B&M. I think at Carowinds, after the initial drop Fury and Intimidator offer too similar of a ride experience. I haven'''t ridden Leviathan but I think at Canada's Wonderland many actually prefer Behemoth. According to B&M they are the same ride type after all. I'd like to see if Chance rides could incorporate some of what we see with Lightning Run into a former Morgan style Giga. I guess, think Steel Dragon 2000 with better transitions, and wave turns with airtime. I'd like to see what they come up with in this more modern era.

      @medmac2112 Před 6 lety +1

      The Ride Analyst Channel I respect your opinion, but Fury is definitely NOT top 2 in the world, in fact, probably not even top 20 in the world. There are so many coasters I’d rather ride. Steel Vengeance, El Toro, Lightning Rod, Twisted Timbers, I305, Magnum XL 200 (Yes, I’m serious), Karnan, Wildfire, DC Rivals, Hyperion, T Express, Helix, RMC Raptors, Twisted Colossus, X2, Skyrush, I can keep going. Fury is good but by no means the best coaster ever built. That title goes to Steel Vengeance 1000%.

      Adrenaline Rush I agree with you. Fury is a great ride, but nowhere near the best. However, it has great universal appeal, because it has a little bit of intensity without going "too far". I305 is clearly better for me, because of it's great intensity, but many people (even many enthusiasts) don't like it to be that intense. Fury had a terrible B&M rattle when I was there. I don't know if that's common, but it did take away from the ride for me. Even if it were smooth, I still wouldn't think of it as among the best in the world, but it's still great. If KI does get a B&M giga, I hope they finally fix that rattle problem. But yeah, I would be far more excited for the T-Rex.

    I think the coaster station will be where firehawk once stood and make its way through the dinosaurs alive area. The coaster could also go through the son of Beast area, turn around, and head back to the station. If the station will be built where firehawk stood, it will most likely be steel, not wood. The theming for that area of the park is more intense and forceful (think Flight of Fear). Personally I think it will be a giga themed to action or excitement.

  • @elevatoralarmcoasterandarc1214
