My guess is that Starved Bowser ate Peach after kidnapping her.
Possibly submerging her in lava or using her own fire breath, the truth is that Starved Bowser would be a thousand times worse than Starved Eggman.
I’d imagine that Starved Bowser would be way more vicious then Robotnik. Maybe he’d even eat all of his troops that aren’t mechanical. Hell, he might even eat his own kids.
This is a little annoying so I’m editing this comment to say this. For the hundreds of people going “Bowser won’t eat his children or the Koopas cause Starved isn’t a cannibal.” Have you read my comment? My interpretation of Bowser is that he’s vicious, almost like a rabid monster compared to Robotnik. It’s fine if your interpretation of Starved Bowser is just a literal clone of him with no differences, just maybe try to use that SpongeBob quote of ‘Imagination’ or at least understand that other people have other ideas of how a starved bowser would work.

@@Hydro_Sparks I guess, although my interpretation is that starved Bowser is an actual monster with a ravenous hunger, rather then just a guy who gained a taste for a specific species of sentient animals.
Plus, animals eating other animals similar to their own isn’t that unheard of.

Starved Bowser would be way worse than Starved Eggman.
All of Eggman's minions were robotic, so they weren't at risk. Bowser's minions are organic.
Not only that but Starved Bowser is clearly willing to eat humans. So...we wouldn't be safe.

The story goes like this.
After the events of the 1st Mario game bowser was picking up his stuff when he saw a toad on the ground it got killed and was burnt up bowser was very confused on how it got there but he had some curiosity on what would happen if he ate it he took a small bite of the toad and something clicked in him he loved eating it so much he decided to go out and find more toads to eat he kept eating them but it came with problems the toad was not supposed to be eaten it came with poison making his skin red and it rots in his mouth but he wasn't stopped by this news and he kept eating it he ate and ate and his skin rotted and turned red he became more thirsty for them it also included bowser going insane to eat humans and lose his mind and his sanity one day he trapped princess peach but instead of locking her in a cage he instead ate her alive it tasted just like the toads to him and he started having a diet of the toads and humans when Mario found out princess peach was killed and eaten he gotten enraged and went after bowser to kill him after a while everybody was concerned by Mario's dissapearance and Luigi goes to find him.

If you played mario games, you’ll notice that he always uses magic to make themselves big. So one day, bowser finds a mushroom mario didn’t grab. He ate it, and it tasted incredible. They wanted more. They broke every block, and then they made their goal bigger, eat the toads. They kept capturing toads, but that’s when mario stepped in to stop them. All of bowsers minions were replaced with better ones, and they upgraded everything. The bullet bills were much faster. Mario was running to his castle, trying not to get hit by bullet bill. When mario escaped, he found bowser outside his caste. But something wasn’t right, his skin was red. He was avoiding mario, always in front of him. But then mario escaped, suspicious of bowser he kept running and then another bullet bill fired. It was to late.

In term of design he definitely looks more terrifying than starved robotnik. Though in the concept it somehow feels less intimidating.. despite the fact it should be more logically since he eats humans. It somehow doesn't seem to be much affecting for me.
It’s the art style.
I think the fact it makes more logical sense is why he feels less scary in terms of concept. Bowser’s a giant reptile monster; we see things like that eat people in fiction all the time. But some creepy bald bright red skinned cannibal with no eyes is uh- a bit less common in fiction lol.

Ravenous Bowser concept:
After another failed plan of defeating Mario and keeping the princess, Bowser was having one of his many castles repaired. Walking through the place he found a dead Toad that Mario somehow failed to rescue during his adventure. Being both curious and hungry Bowser tried a piece and found the mixture and flavor of meat and fungus the best thing he ever eaten in his entire life and he NEEDED MORE!!!
Bowser then orders his troops to kidnap more Toads but instead of imprisoning them he wants them to be served to him as his every breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacktime. The minions while shocked at this sudden change,obliged and began to start capturing and preparing Toads for there king.
...
After a few weeks Peach has been noticing that more and more Toads have gone missing each day and with Bowser and his minions seeming to be absent, she has decided to investigate with some of her guards and find out what is happening while assigning Mario to look in the areas too dangerous for herself to explore while Luigi keeps guard of the rest of the Toads so they don't end up missing too.

During the search at some point in time Peach and her guards walk into an ambush of Bowser's minions and end up getting kidnapped.

Inside Bowser's castle; Peach is being escorted to Bowser's throne room
while her guards are being escorted somewhere unspecified. Peach is mad at herself for not realizing Bowser was responsible for this sooner and now has to wait for Mario to save her again. Peach is now in Bowser's throne room and upon seeing Bowser she is absolutely horrified at what he looks like.
Bowser's skin is now a red-ish orange with his horns, claws, teeth, and tail spikes a cavity yellow and his eye sockets have red pinpricks where his eyeballs should be.
He starts speaking to her in a deeper and more unnerving voice.
Bowser: Ah Princess Peach, so glad you and your Toads could make it to my castle.
Peach: You had us kidnapped and more importantly what happened to the other Toads and you!
Bowser: After I discovered the corpse of a Toad that Mario failed to save in the remains of one of my castles, I got curious and tried a piece of that half-fungus and it was the most delicious thing I ever had in my entire life I've ever had, but I needed more so I instructed my minions to kidnap every Toad outside of Toad Town and have my best chefs make a meal for me to enjoy every single bite of them and as you can see this new diet isn't exactly good for my looks but its completely worth it.
Peach is absolutely horrified of what she is hearing, Bowser is eating her people?! but she has one question left on her mind though so she ignores her feelings and asks it.
Peach: If you are only kidnapping Toads to eat them why did you kidnap me?
Bowser lets out a horrible laugh and then he answers.
Bowser: Because I have a special course in mind for Mario.. and you. Guards take her to the kitchen!
The two minions beside Peach grab her arms and start to drag her away.
Peach is now hysterically flailing in fear of her safety more than ever now starts shouting: Please don't do this! Mario will stop you, he has too!
Bowser:Not this time princess, not this time.
Peach can still heard shouting for her life until the doors close then Bowser waits for the plan to be set in place when Mario arrives.
End of part 1

Mario having no luck finding any of the missing Toads, returns to Toad Town hoping Peach returned with any of them, but instead he spots Luigi scouting the area for anything suspicious. Mario runs to his bro to get some answers.
Luigi: Hey Mario any luck finding the missing Toads?
Mario: No Luigi has Peach returned with any of them?
Luigi: No Mario, Peach hasn't been back for hours.
Mario ponders this for a moment and then gets an idea.
Mario: If Peach is missing then there is only one being responsible for this as well as for the missing Toads.
Luigi didn't have to ask to know who Mario is talking about.
Luigi: Go on ahead since I have still have to protect the remaining Toads here.
And with that Mario departs to Bowser's Castle.
...
Mario is running and jumping across treacherous terrain on his way to Bowser's Castle unaware that he is being spied on from one of the mountains by a pair of koopas, one of them is looking through binoculars while the other one is standing next to a Bill Blaster.
Koopa 1: Mario spotted, fire the Burning Bill!
Koopa 2: Firing Burning Bill!
The koopa shoots a Bullet Bill from the blaster but this one is colored orange and is already burning up as it is approaching behind Mario a little faster then your average Bullet Bill.
We cut to Mario now.
Mario: Bowser must be waiting for me because I don't see a minion in sight.
Wait a minute I hear something behind me, hmm that Bullet Bill looks to hot to jump on I might as well keep avoiding being hit by it.
If in FNF the rap starts.
End of part 2
Ravenous Bowser concept (continued)
After a bit of chasing and platforming, Burning Bill starts slowing down and cooling off allowing Mario to slow his pace and jump on it. With Burning Bill finally stopped, Mario picked up his pace towards the castle.
Mario: Not too different from his usual minions it seems, wait is that Bowser?
Bowser appears a little ahead of Mario in his clown car.
Mario: Bowser why do you look like you're rotting away?
Bowser: Never mind that you thorn in my shell you won't be saving the princess from my castle this time.
Bowser lets out an evil laugh.
Mario platforms again while dodging Bowser's fire (and in FNF's case rapping as well) then after a bit Bowser starts slowing down to a crawl. Mario is eyeing him closely.
Mario: Is this another attack or is Bowser running low on-
But before Mario could finish his sentence, a speeding thwomp collided with him knocking him unconscious with everything going black at the moment of impact.
...
Mario wakes up in what looks like a kitchen. He tries to move only than just noticing the pain his entire body is feeling and that he is chained to a wall. With nothing else to do, he glances at the shelves and sees... Toads?
Not just Toads but Toads with chunks of flesh and chunks of the mushroom on their heads missing! Mario felt like throwing up, "The missing Toads are being eaten possibly by Bowser?!" Mario looked at the top shelf and actually threw up at the sight. Peach was there as well missing parts of her flesh too as well as her dress. "No" Mario thought. He has to stop Bowser and his minions, but this time for good! Mario tries to struggle free ignoring his pain through sheer determination. Bowser walks into the room along with a koopa wearing a chef's hat.
Bowser: Ah Mario, glad you're finally awake.
Mario: Bowser! How could you do something more horrible than kidnapping and conquering?!
Bowser then tells Mario what he told Peach.
Bowser: Now that I had some Peach, I think I'll have some Italian!
The chef koopa is holding a sharp knife about to plunge it into Mario's scalp!
Bowser: So long MARIO!!!
The moment the knife impacted Mario's scalp there is nothing but total darkness and the sound of Mario yelping and flesh being pierced.

In the part where Starved appears and Sonic accelerates, I imagine Mario flying with his cape, and in the end he is hit by a "Bullet Bill" who was ahead.
This is great dude. Maybe someone will make an instrumental, and someone else will make it playable. That's how it happened with other covers.

Idea for the setting, Instead of getting chased down a bridge mario would go up a tower and jump up various platforms. for the bullet bill part it would be chasing mario up the tower and mario would be jumping on new platforms at a faster pace. for the bowser part he would say his lines on the same level as mario then he would fly up above him for mario to give chase. while bowsers part is going you could see the bullet bill go into a door on the side of the tower and at the end when mario gets cocky and stops jumping that bullet bill will come out of a different side door and slam into mario.

My favourite dialogue I've seen for this! Instead of forcing a snarky oneliner from Mario, you've focused on him thinking it's just the standard affair and not being aware of his fate. I feel that works better for his character!

Luigi after realizing Mario’s Fate, plans his plan against Bowser, teaming up with Bowser JR (Revolting over his dads new way of life)
Luigi teaming up with Bowser JR and Yoshi manage to kill Bowser after an intense fight where Luigi using his vacuum sucks up bowser and blowing up bowser from the inside killing bowser ending this terror, Afterwards the survivors rebuild their society with Daisy and Luigi being the new King and Queen of the new mushroom kingdom.
For me bowser would probably eat toads and/or humans

Alternate ending of this:
In the battle Yoshi and bowser jr are injured severally and when trying to help bowser looks at him and in that moment Luigi (supposedly just like tails) succumbed to his fear leaving into a killing blow from bowser
I think that instead of him trying something out of curiosity and going nuts with euphoria, something within him snaps, and he develops more animal instincts.
Mario: look like this red bullet had lay off nitro this time around mamma mia hey red dragon you need to upgrade your bullets

Feel like Mario would jump over the Homing Bullet Bill instead of it flying away for the transition to the Bowser part.

My headcannon for the cover is:
After Mario managed to get rid of the Bullet Bill with the Spin-Stomp, Bowser shows up and Mario gets scared by his appearance (unlike Sonic who just makes fun of Starved).
At the end of the song, Mario tries to escape with his cape, only to get killed/exploded by another Bullet Bill that was passing by.
in my headcannon, bowser not only replaced one bullet bill, but his ENTIRE army into Robots because he ate his previous flesh army (along with the toads and possibly the Princess Peach).
Again, this is just a HEADCANNON.

This is my version of the lore of this song. After the events of Super Mario World, Bowser notices a lifeless red Toad and wonders what it would taste like. This sent him down a path of insanity similar to Robotniks and wanted to know what the other Toad variants tasted like. After tearing through dozens of Toads, he sets his sights on Mario, building a big Furnace Fred to track him down. Furnace Fred ultimately proves successful as he manages to ram straight into Mario head on. Now with Mashed Mario as the main course, no one is able to stop the crazed Koopa King.
Actually good although Furnace Fred sounds a bit silly considering the seriousness of the story

I honestly think that if there was ever a Flight of fight Mario version, Tails would be replaced by Yoshi instead of Luigi. Since this takes place in SMW.

I also agree that Luigi fits the characteristics of Tails, but I personally think a Yoshi filled with rage, after seeing Mario killed by the same fate he tried to protect him from all those years ago, alot more interesting than a Luigi filled with fear and trauma.

After Mario 1, Bowser is furious at his defeat, and seeks to know what it was that gave Mario the edge over him. Apon noticing the plumber's use of Super Mushrooms, he decides to consume them himself, but inadvertently eats a Toad instead. Toads have their own flavor and power, however, and the Koopa King quickly became addicted to them, having all the toads and eventually goombas as well rounded up to be consumed or bred as livestock for an endless royal feast.
The next time he kidnaps the princess (the equivalent of Mario 3), he offers her her own subjects as a wedding meal, and at he refusal adds her on to the menu. Mario, oblivious, heads through the adventure as normal, albeit noticing the lack of goombas and increased ferality of the Koopas as he gets closer to Dark Land.
"You want to be with the princess? I can have you be... reunited... hehehehe HAGHHAGHAGHAGHAGHAAAAAA!"

Possible story for Starved Bowser:
After the events of Super Mario Bros, The Turtle was busy cleaning up his Castle, he saw a small Toad that got burnt in some lava. He was first confused as how it emerged from the lava in the first place, but his nose smelled the potential the taste might have. He carefully took a bite out of its small leg and imminently, Something in Bowser snapped, and no longer was his goal to defeat Mario, it was to eat as much Toads as he could. He took his Flying Clown Car and went towards a small Town in the outskirts of the Mushroom Kingdom and kidnapped a more toads to devour. Half an hour after this occurred, he modified his Bullet Bills to cook Toads to eat them on the spot. After a couple of days, he saw the side effects of his new diet. His skin turned to a dark red tint. And his teeth were slightly broken after chewing through bone. Months later, most of the Toads in Mushroom Kingdom were eaten by King Koopa. But he never forgot about Mario. He formed a plan to capture the Plumber and bite into his Skin. He challenged the Red Hero to a race against his best Bullet Bill, Frying Bullet. A few Hours before The Race begins, Princess Peach decides to take action against the Turtle that killed all of her citizens. But as she was battling the Villian, a Bullet Bill Sneaked up behind her, and burned The Princess. Mario entered Chocolate Island not knowing Peach was Devoured. The Plumber had a Power-Up to ensure that he would beat the challenge. And then the race had begun. After 2 whole minutes of running, the Bullet Bill finally slowed down, and Mario had won! Bowser got in his Flying Clown Car and caught up to the Victor, and Mario said that he would save Princess Peach, but he would never know what happened to her. Without Mario even knowing, Frying Bullet had passed Mario while he was looking away. After the Car slowed down, Mario took one last look at Bowser before seeing Frying Bullet right Infront of him. The crash was so loud it could be heard all across the Mushroom Kingdom, and Bowser finally was able to take a bite out of the Plumber that foiled his plans. But that wasn't enough, he wanted to feed on more toads, and feed infinitely. He had a plan with the keys that Mario used to use and can use it to go on other Planets with life on them. But one thing was standing in his way, a boy in green overalls that he had seen, but never got to.

Here’s how I think a Starved Bowser would work.
This all starts in Super Mario World, where after Mario ‘viciously’ demolishes another castle, Bowser has had enough, and for real this time. He then goes to decapitate a toad walking by and consumes its head, thinking it’s just like a mushroom, where he’ll become strong like Mario. This doesn’t actually give him powers, but he keeps thinking it will, causing him to consume more and more toads. He’d also construct an even stronger bullet bill called a “Bruiser Bill” (Since it’s a bit of a combination between the Bruiser enemy and the Bullet Bill enemy, and yes I know Bruiser wasn’t there in world but I imagine that enemy being inspired by the bullet bill. He ) that’s capable of tearing off one’s head very easily and can even go at a speed that slightly outruns Mario. Mario of course realizes that a lot of toads have gone missing, so thinking it was a doing of Bowser, he sets off to find him. Which he does, but it’s just like what happened with Sonic and Furnace, but instead Bowser baits Mario, and shakes the ground with the single stomp of a clown car. It of course stuns Mario, and the bullet bill is finally able to to do what he was meant to do. Hell if we ever get a “fight or flight” version of this I’d like to see it be called “Mario is Missing” as a reference.
And as for peach, I doubt she’d be killed since she doesn’t do much to try and stop Bowser. (If you were living under a rock and don’t know what timelines are, World came before Peach’s spin-off.) “But how did his skin get read?” I mean, there’s only one answer when you’ve been fighting the same person multiple times, and it always ends the same way with you getting scorched in lava.
I kind of see him less vicious than Egg Man since he’s not really addicted to the toads but rather just desperate for victory. Hell if you just don’t get in his way you’re pretty much safe. But if you want him to be *a lot* more vicious version then here you go.
It starts off similar to the previous version, but this time the entire Koopa Kingdom is screwed due to how many times it’s been destroyed, and with pretty much majority of the population of Bowser’s enemies being killed from this, he can’t rebuild the kingdom any more. And with no kingdom any more, he also has no resources. And at this point the Koopa, Goomba, and many more populations only die off more due to poor conditions and lack of food and water due to not only having none but those sources being REALLY far away. But Bowser does not give up yet, with his clown car, he’d quickly get some small resources as the toads would discriminate him from being in their kingdom. Though Mario and Luigi actually did care and would give him some resources, but the toads still hated him. This however would only keep so much alive, so what is Bowser’s nearly last resort? Cannibalism. Enjoying the flavor of Goombas and koopas and beetles and more he eats more of it to where he hoards the corpses away from the remaining Koopas. One day, one of his kids (I guess Morton if you want to be specific) eats a corpse in desperation, causing Bowser to get angry, and kill him. This was the final straw for the koopalings and the enemies, causing a rebel against him. But Bowser won in the end, and with no more food after a few months, he then wonders what a toad would taste like, so he puts it to the test, and gets addicted to that too. And it was only a matter of time before the princess got kidnapped again, but instead of just getting kidnapped, he tries out a “cooked” version of the food he loves, and dips the princess into lava for a second before taking a chomp out of her. He of course loved it, and just like Sonic’s case would save it for special occasions. Mario of course, goes to save the day, only to get killed by a bullet bill Bowser made out of his last resources. Bowser loved his corpse especially due to “the taste of victory and payback.” This triggers the events of “Mario is missing” and Luigi’s story is up to you.
Also, this time Bowser’s skin is red from him trying to consume the lava enemies out of pure crave for more enemies. Also, yes, Daisy, Luigi, and Yoshi are still alive.
And if you want to use this as a fully fledged story, please give me credit and don’t try to claim it as your own. That’s all I really care about and despite that I’d love to see this become an actual story or mod.

Bowser slowly getting more angry at mario due to his business in stopping him to save the princess, he trys to find out what he really is, after finding what his species, the realisation slowly kicks in and he goes insane, he starts scraping at his skin, then, he trys to find out what *human* taste like, he eats his first limb, to a suprise , he feels energized, it nourished bowser to the point of pure pleasure eating human and started massacres, 1st he ate peach with Mario barely knowing, he then upgrades his minions armour and all his mechanisms, when mario came to do his regular route, level through level , he noticed his back getting increasingly hot, looking back was a "bullet bill" enhanced to target, keep up and splatter their corpse on the ground, soon after mario "escapes from it" bowser shows up, distracting mario from ahead, mario gets cocky and says his iconic line, but to no suprise, mario gets blasted onto the ground, but bowser felt like mario would be a 5 star meal, and ate him for special occasions, soon, luigi finds out, going to the base he meets a bullet bill which takes his leg off, he contacts help, and fortunately, toads were able to give him a mushroom, but still showing the scars on his leg, he then grabs a fire power up and confronts Bowser, but in the end, luigi has his honour of being the side dish.
i feel like it would make more sense for furnaces mario variant to be a upgraded version of bowser jr's clown car considering bowser jr is pretty much the mario equivalent of metal sonic
But plot twist: it's empty/on autopilot. Because Bowser pulled a Komodo dragon and... y'know.
This is a nice AU and all, but honestly, I don't know how this would really work lore-wise because the original version isn't really compatible with making it Super Mario
