I'm in my early twenties and my peers in medschool are already talking about freezing their eggs in their late twenties so that they can pursue their specialties of interest. In particular, surgery is known to be a field that is unforgiving and unaccepting of taking breaks in your pathway to have children. I found this debate super interesting and relevant as freezing eggs is becoming an increasingly topical conversation amongst women, especially in medicine. Thanks Shivani for another great episode ❤

it's predicted 80% of women above 30 will be single and childless in 20 years. Hence the growth of the egg freezing industry.
Large corporations are already heavily investing in egg freezing for this reason.

It will be by their own choice. It’s clear that when women rise up. The pickier they become. Most women find being single more peaceful and are actually happier that way. As for the egg freezing it’s simply a ‘just in case’ they change their minds. Not necessarily because they want a kid. 😅😴

The reason they don’t talk about or give it as an option is because they don’t want women to feel in control. They need to sell fear and anxiety to women.

If you can do it normally .do so. iVF is hell expensive and the part nobody tells you that the amount of injections and meds you take for months can really messed with your mental health. I regret not having a baby at my 28. Ivf is a long process and you will suffer like i am now . Have your baby when you are young and not need to suffer later.
