    So that's how you make perfectly smooth hard surfaces? Wow, now everything makes sense.

    Great work. I am new in zbrush now. But i consider that when you detach it as multi-subtool, it was a single plane surface, how did you do so that it could able to be thick? (Sorry english isn't my mother language)

    Nice work! What tutorials did you use mostly? I mean, did you use any tutorial as a knowledge base for this helmet? Sorry for bad English))

      There is a great helmet tutorial on the pixologic site I looked at before making this piece. It was a huge influence and gave me great insight on how to go about creating hard surface details within zbrush.

      Great, thank you! I guessed that it is enough to learn official tutorials.

    What the heck happened at 2:56...the mesh somehow was super cleaned up in a second...

      Just going to leave this here so other confused people wouldn't have to rewatch that part again and again at 0.25x speed like I did: After separating the model into polygroups, it seems like he used Panel Loops in Geometry sub-palette. It polished the model up and added nice ridges along the polygroup borders.

      Ivan Khoroshev sure he didnt use group loops?

      H-Polish -> Dynamesh to close holes -> H-Polish -> Clip Curve to clean edges. A better alternative to take in the current Z-Brush is Z-remesh(to very low amount) -> extrude the flat result outwards -> Hpolish

    How long did it take in real time?

    • @DexterityArt
      @DexterityArt  Před 9 lety +4

      956zaza About 2 to 3 days. It was mostly to try out with hard surface workflows in ZBrush.

      get "video speed controller" for chrome. You can slow down the videos. Really awesome for things like this.
