thanks for the effort and the sharing. i still use my D750 VERY often. i must say, you make the 24mm look so easy. BIG thumbs up.
There are at least five factors why this photoshoot sooo GOOD.
1. The Man Behind the Gear
2. Decent gear
3. Two lovers
4. Good lighting condition
5. The beach
I use the D750 currently it was my first full frame and let me tell you no regrets what’s so ever this camera is beast.
You've made me fall even more in love with my Nikon D750. Thanks for the video! Brasileira Assistindo!
I'm still shooting my D750 and love it. I've been considering an upgrade, until I look at the price of the upper end Nikons. This camera still takes fantastic photos and I didn't skimp on the glass, which makes a huge difference as well.
same, i'm a wedding photographer and i've never felt the need to upgrade, been using two d750 for about 7 years
Same!
The colors on my D750 just blow me away even after adding a Z6 II to my kit. I love it.
It’s definitely nice
OMg it's quite a surprise you made a video about D750. It's my work horse camera since 2014-2015 and I have trusted it ever since. I have 4 of these bodies which I collected over the years as "backup" . Each of them has reach over 1 million shutters without sending to repair. I eventually send in for shutter replacement on all of them just because it's at over 1 million photos.
How much did the shutter replacements cost lil buddy?
One of Nikons best ever. It was like the perfect combination of features, image quality and workable file size. I think Nikon has yet to fill the niche, in mirrorless, that the D750 held in DSLR.
The Nikon Z5 I think has replaced the Nikon D750 photography wise.
Thank you for this! I am seriously considering one of these; I started out with Nikon back with a D70, D300 and D800, left to go to Canon and most recently picked up an EOS R. But to my horror at the first shoot, it refused to accurately focus through Plexiglas at telephoto focal lengths, my 16 year old 1D Mark 3 saved me! I also have been less than thrilled with Canon's dynamic range - recently I got caught shooting in an extreme back-lit situation with no flash, and the shadows that the D800 could have recovered easily, the Canon failed miserably at. So, I might be adding a D750 to my bag; I still prefer certain Canon lenses, but Nikon DSLR bodies are still my favorites. Cheers!
To be honest... I would not recommend a Nikon D750. I've been using Canon for many years, while I uses before a analog Nikon camera. I still have a lot of Nikon lenses but when I started shoot digital, the Canon was in that time better than Nikon in my taste. This year I wanted to make a switch to Nikon because I know the dynamic range and low light performance is great of the Nikon D750. But the skin tones are worse and white balance in artificial light is also a disaster! I have use many raw software to try the colors right... but if you should see my files from Nikon and my old Canon 5D mk2 side by side.. you will see what I mean. There is a strange shifting in the white balans which is not good. Im very disappointed in Nikon and for me no Nikon anymore. I stay with Canon.
I went to mirrorless Z’s 3 years ago but still have my D750s. Great cameras, great images. The only advantage new mirrorless cameras give you is some intelligent autofocus features that make your photo hit rate a bit higher for some faster paced shooting along with some more advanced video features. I have been investing in older CCD sensor DSLRs for fun and enjoy the imperfections and character of some of these older sensors. Almost like shooting film to a degree.
I'm a computer science student who occasionally does photography(mostly street photography). I bought a second-hand Nikon D3500 around a year ago and kept doing pictures at least a couple of times a month on my free time, during trips and recently for my sisters pregnancy announcement. I got myself a pair more of lens besides the kit ones I got with the camera and I really enjoy taking those spontaneous pictures on the streets when something captures my attention, I've also had those moments where I have a really nice composition and later on I realize that the high iso(or actually my settings) basically ruined my picture. Now I'm considering getting myself a Nikon D750 and at this point I'm just watching all possible videos about the topic and It's quite exciting to think about the possibilities :)
Thanks Chris for a very free-flowing, natural shoot, both as video and your shots of the couple, who, as you mentioned, were quite comfortable with a lens staring at them. After many years I am going to jump into full-frame, but somehow EVF reminds me of a smartphone. So yes, I am gunning for my landscape escapades either 750/810/850. I am not very sure about 780 for my branch of photography.
Great vid man! I made the move over to canon mirror less a while back but I still have a d750 in my kit for R.E stuff. This camera has been to war and back and just won’t die!
I moved over to Sony two years ago but still kept the D750 as a back up, I still find myself using it loads as its a beast and I just trust it as you cant see a preview like the Sony. Looking at these shots I see why you love sticking to 24mm most of the time.
It’s been a while since I’ve seen DSLR content and I’m not sure but the D750 has a soft sharpness to it that I actually prefer for this like portraits than the clinical razor sharp lenses now with more detailed sensors. It’s a nice quality I didn’t realize probably because most content is mirrorless. Very lovely video Chris and those pictures are well done especially with such a wide lens
I own d750 and it’s razor sharp with proper lenses. Softness of the picture is editing.
@@stanislavrico I own that camera too in his video showing the editing, there's no additional softness in post. It's simple the camera (compared to modern sensors) but more the lens as he used a cheaper 24mm prime. Sharpness isn't everything tho which is what I'm saying that I perfer this over the Sony sharpness. Especially for portraits
I still shoot professionally with my D750 and D810, I love them. Eye auto focus would be great, ( I have it on my Fuji ) but for the speed I shoot portraits at in the studio and on location it isn't a problem. Great vid Chris, thanks ...
I cant decide what camera to pick, nikon d750 or nikon d810! Can you help me with that?
I run a Z8 and Z9 now… but I made $177;000 in the four years I had D750s. The Tamron 35mm 1.4, 24-70 and 70-200mm 2.8 was my entire kit.
How did you make that much. Doing what
You’ll make a lot more than that doing weddings (not to down play what he achieved which is great)
@@ChrisTurnerPhotographerI’d love to know how you had the autofocus set up on this shoot
44,000 a year average...Not bad if it's something you're just doing on the side
@@scottwesterman221same for me! What kind of focus were you using ? AF-C and then single focus point or auto ?
Very nice 👍 love the BTS! Awesome video with the D750 .. have been waiting for it 🤗
Great video. Very interesting after taking it all in - the scene, the subject(s), pace and casual demeanor on the part of everyone.
Hi, I still own my work horse D750 and here in Argentina, many weeding photographers use it a lot, as it gets excellent results and, plus, the prices in newer equipment has increased a lot here. Thought , I'm using the Sony 7iii , now for video and of course, photo. Thxs for your work.
Main advantages in mirrorless for me are size, eye AF especially with f1.4 glass and silent shooting with a stacked sensor. Having said all that I would have no problem shooting on my old 1dx or 5Dmkiv . As a Sony shooter the one thing I miss is a top lcd . I wish Sony would add one like the R5 and z8
My d750 has a shutter count of 889,645 never had a shutter replacement never had a single problem with the camera .
how do you check shutter count?
@@strangerontheinternet8851 insert ur sd card to laptop ,google nikon shutter count, it will ask u to upload last photo taken
@@strangerontheinternet8851there are various shutter count apps available. You put a card in your camera then format it, take 1 shot with the lens cap on and then load the card back to your computer with the shutter count software then when you open the s/c software it should open up and tell you the shutter count. I hope that helps lil buddy! 😊
You're a wholesome dude man, my approach with couples is so similar :)
I used D750's too, my only gripe was micro adjustments of the lenses as back then I thought pin sharp was everything, it's really not. I had much more fun with flash on DSLR's than I do with mirrorless too! Top content dude as always.
What floors me is that people have this incredible belief that because tech has evolved that somehow everything in front of the lens has become more agile thus requiring more speed from the gear. I've shot events with old cameras recently and have pulled off some of my favorite images. Gear is always secondary to experience.
Had mine since 2017 and still love it. No plans to replace it. The D750 is an all-around fantastic camera.
Great video Chris
Me hubiera gustado ver mas primero planos!! Genial las tomas !! Muchas gracias por mostrar tu magia. Saludo desde Argentina
Amazing pictures !! thanks for the video
Just the video i needed... I am planning to purchase my first full frame... And i am going for the d750.... Thanks for this video... You just earn a subscriber
I just bought one just one week ago. Using D7000 and D7200 in the past. I love it. The ISO performance is amazing.
I bought the 810 today! 1080 video is fine. I like that I can afford the price of this camera and lens now!
9 months later what do you think? Im on the verge of buying a used one soon when I can find a great deal locally, which does happen. Ive had 2 d7100s both have glitched/died on me I want to upgrade to at least pro quality
Really love my D750. Such a forgiving camera too.
Great video. Looking forward to the family content.
Still using my D750 along with a Z6ii. Hoping I can book a few more weddings to drop the 750 and get the Z8.
Awesome stuff mate
Great video Chris! Would love to see you making a similar video with the D810.
Nikon D750 is a beast of a camera, even thou now replaced with D780 & Z6II, this was my first Pro-Body back in 2016 with kit 24-120mm f/4 lens, this also quashed many Nikon's flaws in terms of video. Used it, loved it, and replaced it with D810 and then to Sony, but D750 & D850 are the Legends.
I also use one, and have considered moving to mirrorless, since Nikon pretty much is abandoning DLSRs gradually, but I love the camera. I'm not a professional, so I'm not too worried about having the latest equipment out there (I assume professionals have different needs). So, thanks for the video. I'm keeping my D750!
Great review bro, I am going back into photography after ten yrs out of the game and I am looking to get my hands on the D750 after this video. Nice work.
Thank you I still have my d750 for my prime camera. I love it even though I never sent it for the recall.
Just shot family portraits today with my d750. It’s an amazing camera and still super relevant for today.
Yesterday brought secondhand Nikon D750 and today just saw your clip. Got great idea from you that how i can use it for professional work. Thanks for sharing valuable knowledge. Good luck for future.
great video, my friend keep them coming
just beautiful.
we need more videos like this!! I miss my D750 sold it to get the Nikon D810 I only do still photography. I don't need a fancy video camera.
Got mine new for £985 in 2015 it’s still so good. So good.
I still have my d3200 entry level camera. Haven't thought about upgrading until now so I'm looking forward to doing research on this model camera.
Just worked with the raws, considering die d750 as a backup for events and weddings just a few 2-3 with bunch of lenses, solid image quality. Less chromatic aberration, than my Sony lenses on my a7siii. Focus not being pinpoint isn't a bad thing tho, I get analogue vibes from them..
great video, I love my D750, I will be finally upgrading to mirrorless next month but I will be definitely keeping my dinosaur.
Love my D750! I’ve just re-bought a D200 tonight a camera I did an entire Elton John European tour with in 2009. I’ve been getting the bug to try the ccd sensor again.
I have one D700 camera and two D750's.. still great cameras, love them with 35mm sigma and 85mm tamron
Really great video. Nice spot. The presets looks very good. I'm also used the D750 and still own it. Best greetings from Germany
Oh Chris... when I first found your channel, I had the feeling that you were a down to Earth guy! And yep... I love my D750 and it's on the best, and most expensive lens in the house! And yes... I enjoy my Z7ll too ))) Great video!
Thanks mate appreciate that 😊
@@ChrisTurnerPhotographerI’m on a pretty low budget but can afford a used Nikon D800 or a used Sony A6000 with a similar prime lens. Which would you recommend and why ?
I’d prefer the D800 personally
@@ChrisTurnerPhotographerwhich of the cheapest Sony cameras would make you not choose the D800 ?
I switched from the D750 and D810 to the Sony A7R2. It wasn’t without its flaws but that’s the Sony that sold me
Now that the Nikon love is back. The Z8 is calling you ;) Came back from Sony and loving it. 85 1.2 is chefs kiss.
what was the sony camera u were using previously and what made u switch? do u also do video?
@@cj7073 mostly photo. Camera ergos. cf express B over A. Build quality. Sony screens continuing to suck. Especially the EVF res dropping when autofocusing, no other brand does this I don’t get it. 1/32000 max shutter speed so can use 1.2 lenses wide open outdoors. Believe A1 can do this too but other points stand. Had A7IV and A7RV. I miss the GM 1.4 primes but once the Z 35 1.2 is released I’ll be set.
@@robbie154 I was a D750 shooter previously. Moved to A7IV a year back as it was a better choice compared to Z6ii back then. AF works great with Sony but don't like the shooting experience. The colors, ergo..as you said, the low resolution screens suck as well. Love the GMs though. Was thinking to move back to Z8 but not sure if Z has the same magic of F mount or more clinical as Sony. How is your experience? Thanks.
@@piyhaw I mean magic is up to interpretation. All I can say is it feels like photographing with Nikon. Which is the experience I enjoy the most. Just needed AF to catch up and it did :)
Not just that but the d750 has such beautiful colours, bags of dynamic range I love that camera.
Chris Turner: ThankYou for the preview on the Nikon D750,,, I luv the Camera myself. It was so nice for you to give it kudos the way you did.!!!
I also like Your Double Camera holster, I am going to follow your example, One with the Nikon D-750 the other with the Nikon D-850... You have quite a style all Your Own, you are one of my Top 10 favorites of CZcams. Your complete Video was everything I've been looking for, again ThankYou Chris Turner...
I hope to see more of you.! PLEASE keep keep your Double Holster, this should be your Signature look, it fits you like a Glove, I'm copying your look No-Shit,,, again a Great CZcams Video.!
You are Awesome

Great camera, it is my very first full frame and up to this day im still using it. I just wanna ask u if what is the best gimbal to be able to connect that can control the video record button from the gimbal. Thanks in advance.
a friend of mine takes professional photos. and he takes beautiful photos that take your breath away. i've never been interested in it, i've only recently become interested in photography. i did some research and of course i found out which current models are available. when i asked my friend which camera he uses and i saw that he has an old d750 i was shocked. how can you take better photos with that camera than with new cameras? that's really just skill. i don't want to know what he can do with a brand new camera. 😂
I struggle with focus as I age. I'm an ex-pro photographer that's a 'hobbyist' now.
You're young so your eyes still work properly. I have a D750 and other Nikons.. For portraits of children and animals, I miss a lot of shots. For slow moving adults that can take direction like this situation, the D750 is great. I'm very seriously considering moving to a Sony or Canon that does face tracking/focus properly for the faster subjects I shoot.
BTW, it was great seeing you get along with this couple as old friends but still able to direct them into great shots efficiently/quickly. One of the most natural photo shoots I've seen.. Plus, the location you picked was amazing. Great work all around. You're a great photographer!
Awesome and GREAT bts work 👏 I had mirrorless for a while (highend Fujifilms amd Olympus), but went back to Nikon DSLRs ... considering switching to Pentax since they continue to produce DSLRs 😅
Z6ii owner here, but I do find myself using the D750 more often because it's right up my alley
This was so fun to watch ❤😂
You do good work with the 24mm :) Fantastic Images :)
Shot a D7000 for ages in the US military until the unit let me buy gear and I bought D850 bodies the month they came out. If i owned the D850 Inwoukd still shot it. My D7000 finally gave up the ghost and my D500 and D800 are both needing massive repair. I currently run a pair of Sigma FP and a Panasonic S1H and for being a few years old the FP is still amazing.
Man do i need to get my Nikons repaired. I love those cameras, my most sold or published works are on Nikon bodies that people would turn their nose up to today. The D750 is still awesome.
You actually can see the exposure in real time on the d750 you have to turn on exposure preview and you can see the real time exposure in live view only.. I still use the d750 shooting weddings and flip to live get my exposure turn off live and shoot takes a few secs but works
The main improvement in digital cameras over last 10 years have been in video.
For mirrorless photo, a7r3, a7iii, and a9 represent the sweet spots in resolution, balance, and speed.
For DSLR photo, Nikon D850, D750, and Canon 1DX2.
Wow awsome pics
Nice work
I own the A7R3 and the A7R2 but I’m heading back to the Fuji xT-1 I’ve lost the lust for the new cameras- the Fuji line is a camera that you just get excited to use - ) great video C,) 🙌
100% agree amazing camera and love mine…but how does everyone keep the viewfinder eye cup on the back of their camera’s???
I just found your video Chris, because i'm going to buy this exact camera, with a 24-120 f4 lens second hand, with around 9200 shots and i'm literally blown away, how it still performs...
I'm switching from a D7200, it'll be my first ever full frame camera, so we will be really good friends, i hope... 😅
Anyway, this video was amazing, you got a new subscriber, greetings from Hungary!! 😊
Thanks mate appreciate it!
i shoot with a Nikon D3200 and still performs well. In fact almost everybody started with this camera. I want to start looking towards my upgrade. I have my eye on the D850 so far but not set in stone.
I had the same experience with my D750. I bought it used from a private party. Soon after the shutter started freezing up. I checked and found that there was a recall on it so sent it in to Nikon and they did the whole refurbish in addition to replacing the shutter.
That's how I got mine. Found out it was in the recall, they did shutter & grips. Guy said it had only 5000 shots on it, which isn't much, but why not, it's free. I like it for what I shoot.
I love this
Even having a Z9 and a Z6II, I still love my D750. 🙂
Can you tell us what were the focus modes you used for your shoot with the D750? Thx
I will still go out with my D100 and the 35 1.8 to challenge myself. I sold all of my newer gear to get used old tech, like the D810, D5600. I no longer shoot for work, so I can do whatever I want, with whatever I want. Went from mirrorless to DSLR.
This is fucking gold
hermosa sesión!!! a que hora del día tomaste esas fotos?
7:13 very nice
Seeing that you and the subject was moving a lot what autofocus mode were you using?
I still use my trusty D750 to shoot burlesque shows, meaning fast moving subjects in dimly lit bars. It struggles a bit at ISO 6400, but Lightroom's new AI denoise is fantastic.
Glad I ran into the vid. But I find it hilarious that I’m getting all the AU creators on my feed haha. Great job mate!

Thank you for sharing, lovely video! I run a Sony a 7iv and still have my beautiful Nikon d750 with sigma art 35mm 1.4… I often find myself using more the Sony, so I’m considering selling my D750 and take another sony a7iv ( cause of weight and autofocus primarly) I do wedding and events. Feeling very conflicted cause I love the Nikon results at the end of the day but I don’t want it to collect dust, any suggestions?
I have owned a D750 since it first came out. I'm still shooting weddings and events with it, along with a Z7. Very simply, it does the job, and it does it well. I think it's one of the best cameras ever made.
how do you get the color of these shots, from in camera or post.?
I could pick this one out once I saved up some money. A used Nikon D750 with around
thank you first come youtube channel. very good
Hey Chris, thank you for this amazing video and showing us what we can do with our D750 as I've been struggling to get to grips with it, even when I'm on live view the quality of the picture doesn't 'pop' as I feel it should. I'm using it with a 24-120mm 1.4 so do you have any tips? Nevertheless awesome video and a new subscriber so can't wait for future bangers 🙌🏽
I think part of this is the resolution of the screen. In my opinion when you're shooting the D750, trust the histogram, not the rear screen. I've shot side by side with my brother and his D850 and yes the pictures POP on his rear LCD yet when both files are viewed on a computer the differences are minimal at best.
I love this camera 📷 I’ve got this one since 2019 und my lenses are the holy trinity 2.8 Series. I made over 19k pictures with this camera.
Nice shots but what iso and f stop were you using
just got a D750+24mm f1.8 as a gift....still learning with this beast hehehehe....i need to take portrait photos from a distance of around 25 - 30 meters. What Nikon lenses are compatible with this D750?
i love the shutter sound of my nikon d750 i love the colors of the pictures too its an amazing camera and i have a question if someone can help me it will be nice the problem is when i use custom profile color in my nikon d750 and i took a picture when i export in my laptop its comes with diffrent colors not with the custom profile that i want i dont know why this happen any solution for this please it works only with the profiles that comes with the main camera ...
