I love these sketchbooks and they are so affordable here and come in so many sizes and colours. The majority of them have ivory paper, but the ones with cork covers have bright white paper.

I recently bought this exact same size to test and im in love with the paper, though I have a love-hate relationship with the colour. I wish the white variant was available in my region.

Been using those sketchbooks years ago because they are pretty affortable for what they offer and they have a good size for how I use sketchbooks, and I started using them again, my last 4 sketchbooks and I already got another one for my next sketchbook :3 I´m so happy to see they finally get some hype in the community.

I like this sketchbook for charcoal sketches and gouache. I use pretty less water. I don’t think it’s suitable for watercolour. Beginners can struggle due to heavy buckling. It’s pretty smooth.
Also, I would advise to use at least one coat of gesso before painting with acrylic paints.

I have one that I haven’t figured out how to use, I feel like nothing looks good in it! I’m happy to finally see some reviews of these sketchbooks.

It seems great with most things I’ve been using in it! But some water soluble inks seem to never fully ‘set’ and become waterproof so they will reactivate a bit of you watercolour over them. Also many inks take longer to set/dry on it but this can be an advantage! I think using it for its strengths and enjoy what it is! But art and preferences are subjective. Maybe the off white rather than bright white is throwing you off€

@@valasafantastic1055 Yeah it might be. I tried it some more with pen and I like that, they’re very smooth on the paper. :) I have heard people generally like it a lot with gouache.

Put it in a pocket/small back, walk out your home and draw with pencils or blackfinelinerson a sunny day.
They paper will not burn your eyes when reflecting the sun.

I think there is a bright white variant but check what’s available in your region/area!
