Thanks youtube, never heard of this movie until 2020.
same lol
2021 for me lol
It's easily the lesser known Mike Judge project
Some of the funniest characters in the movie aren't in shown in the trailer. Definitely worth seeing at least once.
2021 for me... watched a Joblo review of Idiocracy and he mentioned this Mike Judge self-financed film. Freaking amazing
I’m watching this for the first time. How did I miss this movie? It’s a gem.
Hindi dub release date
0:58 love the way Ben says damn loll
Love these Jason Bateman comedies. He should do a movie with Ben Stiller; if their style is dry, together they’d be arid, and probably funny as hell.
He did 2 movies with Ben Stiller.
Dodgeball and Starsky and Hutch.
This movie was so underrated. Just like jason bateman.
Wholly underrated. 🥛
Why was it any good? What was it even about?
This is actually a really funny movie. One of the few movies I actually liked Ben Afleck as an actor. “She’s a tramp?!”
he is actually good. and you are right. I liked Affleck as an actor here. the scene where he is explaining to Brad about going to Joel's wife is really funny. And I felt he was under utilized here. In fact this movie never really explored its theme well. I mean it feels superficial and unengaging. None of the scenes feel interesting.
I think I would have written the movie like this.
Joel and Suzie begin with a fight. Then Joel goes to his office and he is offered the potential deal. then the accident occurs. then Cindy is introduced. Then Affleck comes in gives him the idea. then the twists occur and finally in the end Cindy goes with Joel after ditching Step because he gets no settlement in the end as he is the courts find him guilty of misrepresentation. But Joel has to give Suzie half of the company as part of divorce settlement who goes with Brad. And it is in the end Suzie knows Joel had sent Brad to seduce her. I really wondered why the director did not push any of the themes in the movie, they were so funny. Its like you put hot Mexican chilly sauce in a food but so little that it makes no difference.
He’s Ok
this is how you make a trailer...without showing the whole damn movie
hina kobayashi ikr!
Simpler time bruh
True.
verdade, mas o filme é bom
Well, there isn't much of a movie to show. It's pretty lacking in the plot department.
Movies pre 2010-2015 were truly great
Yes, before the _agenda_ began.
One of my favorite comedies! I work in manufacturing and turned a dozen people onto this. Absolutely hysterical great comedy.
Why does this trailer make the film look like it was filmed in the late 1990's than in 2009?
Batman and Meg Griffin in Extract. Lol.
Classic movie. Has office space vibes. Love me some Mike Judge!
I cannot beleive that was Ben Affleck.
I kep't thinking it was T.J. Miller.
I thought it was Adam Sandler
how idiotic must you be to be thrown off by a cheap wig. Jesus Christ...
Genius!
lol me too, thought is was a super skinny TJ Miller.
New year's Eve before 2013. I Wake up about 11:30 and this movie is starting. I had no idea who any of the actors were except Gene Simmons and Ben Afleck whom neither I recognized. I brought in the year 2013 laughing my a** off. Wow what a funny movie and my introduction to Jason Bateman, JK Simmons, and the rest of a very awesome cast.
We've got.....dramatic story guy. Builds it up........"New Year's Eve.........before 2013......I wake up about 11:30..........." cue the drum roll.........all of it leading up to......watching some B movie. 🤣
Jason Bateman 😘😘
This was the unsung magnum opus of Mike Judge's movie career.
This movie was hilarious. The most realistic portrayal of Blue Collar America and Factory labor, I have ever seen. It's brilliant.
this movie is one of my all time fave stoner movies...its highly underrated hidden gem...
Is this funny like hangover
One of my favourite movies. So underrated. I came here to see if others thought the same
Criminally underrated movie.

Mila Kunis is Macaulay Culkin - I bet he has some cheesy pick up lines like " would you like to me home alone with me?"

Review for anyone who cares.. (SPOILERS)
Ahhh this film, I'm not sure if it's possible to reach the perfection levels of Office Space ever again, everything just fit into place so well. I suppose it was the time aswell, 1998-1999 was a great time for movies. They felt like they had so much more soul pre 2000's.
This film is one of them films where in watching it, you can see soooo much room for improvement, in casting, in the script, in the effects on drug scenes, just so many missed opportunities, it's one of them films that's a 5/10 but could have easily been a 7, even an 8 with a few tweaks. And that's what's so annoying about it.
I'm pretty on the fence with most of Mikes Judges work. I'm a big Beavis and Butthead fan, big Office Space fan, but could never truly get into King of the Hill or Idiocracy, but I saw what they stood for, they had deeper meanings, Idiocracy especially with its spoof of where western society is heading (or landed) whereas with this film, character motivations just don't seem clear or reasonable. The story pretty much ends exactly where is started, minus one guys testicle.
I didn't like the casting for the movie, the characters all felt like replacements for characters that were already created for the Office Space world. David Koechner feels like a fake down played Milton, Ben Affleck is like Peter (post hypnotism), and Jason Bateman is Peter (pre hypnotism)
I also gotta say Kristen Wiig was a really annoying character too, with the main annoynce being that her, immediately sleeping with the pool guy 15 times, was never touched on as bad, and instead all the hate goes onto Bateman in his role for hiring him to sleep with her in the first place, which is understandable to an extent, but I mean come on man, he barely even mentioned it to her as being a problem, like the dude just took 100 percent of the blame immediately.
Another thing was the fact that Bateman and Wiig clicked so little it got to a point where their marriage was very unconvincing. I just don't understand how he couldn't just sit her down and say like "listen I need some of that ass, we fuck 4 times a year, works got me wound up, I feel like we're drifting apart, I wanna take you to the bedroom and ravage you" I've never been in a relationship neither do I know of anyone who has ever been in a relationship where the two party's can't just be open like that at all, it just didn't make sence, especially as they was married, what the fuck it was like they was allergic to even speaking to one another.
I could go on but lemme just say that Mila Kunis and the drug dealers relationship was never explained, maybe I wasn't listening? Was that her brother? Did she live there, her lover? Her cousin? Idk maybe that's my fault, it just seemed like last minute writing for her phone number to end up being to that house. And the fact she sleeps with Bateman at the end even though she needed not to do it, they already settled an agreement and then she dupes him into bed for? What? There was no gain to be had there like wtf? Most the jokes in the film were flat too and just flew straight over my head, bar a couple. Also just gotta say JK Simmons felt absolutely wasted, they could have gave his role to aaaaaanybody, with the dull material he had to work with.
Finally I'll just say, I love the little world's Mike Judge creates, there's something about the feeling of his work that I just love, maybe its cause we share the same birthday, idk, and it's no different with this film, there's an aesthetic feel to it that's nice, safe, and cozy, also the Gene Simmons cameo was cool and I read Gary Cole had a cameo too, which I missed, and in my opinion should have been bigger (that would be greeeeeat) so yeah it had a nice feel too it, but apart from that a truly flat film. Idk why IMDB has got it in the 6/10 - 7/10 range...
Sorry finally just gotta add a couple things, the annoying woman who was responsible for the guy losing a testicle didn't get her comeuppance at all and that annoyed me, how frustrated she got me throughout the film for it just to be like "get back to work" in the end as a punishment was like wtf, Mila Kunis at the same hotel at Bateman at the end was another 'wtf' moment... Idk what she was doing there with a pick of like a million places to stay and a phone number to a different house, the fact she kept the lady's bag? Erm I could go on, I know it's just a comedy movie but one with this many annoyances can't be left alone
Also I don't know how much of the budget Mike Judge blew on Affleck, Simmons, Kunis, Wiig and Bateman, but shit man he could have easily recast Affeck and got a better soundtrack in the motherfucker, I can't remember one sound I liked in the movie and I feel like sometimes sound can be half the film
jesus dude.
Yeah, it's totally a 5/10 at best, but no need for the college thesis....in a CZcams comments section. Holy cow. I know this comment is five years old but I'm hoping you've since gotten out of the house a little more often and found some hobbies!
This is Ben Affleck's best role. He's brilliant.

So is this the latest Bluth company business or is it another money laundry operation Marty is involved in? Either way Jason Bateman plays the same character in a comedy and a drama so well it's probably both.

How is it that I've NEVER heard of this silly movie & with all this actors & actresses in it. What in the world 🤦♀️🤷♀️🤦♀️
that was Ben Affleck????
Not a great movie. But, very underrated. Just like the other Mike Judge Movies, Office Space and Idiocracy.
That's fair. Reminds me of how for some odd reason I always watch Grandma's Boy when it's on. Not a great movie in general, but just really good at at a lower level genre I guess. Always makes me chuckle.

ben affleck is a bad actor
Kevin Korrekt bull!!
This is a great movie! Mila looks fantastic! Not a huge Ben Affleck fan, but he is great in this movie!
It wasn't a bad movie but it wasn't as good as I expected or hoped for, at least compared to his other movies like Office Space or even Idiocracy. I'd not call it a waste of time, especially if you have nothing else to do. If you are not a zombie, you should get a few good laughs, at least.
