This video is quite old one, it's a clip from sadhguru's visit to NEHU shillong few years bck. I love sadhguru but here I partially don't agree with what he said bcos I think NE was actually ignored, it's not that the government wanted to preserve our nature or culture.
When development happens definitely nature gets damage and changes come in society that's true, and Sadhguru is a great lover of nature and traditions that's the reason behind his answer.. But it's pretty sure that sadhguru didn't explore the entire NE so he won't know much abt the problems people face here.

@Joke Hidden of course not. Example NSCN didn't want to be Under the rule of India at the first place. After the British left the administration position were vacant in the hilly tribal area and these were forced fill by the Indian government without any consent of the people
I prefer the forest but main center like the capital and bussiness hub should have been developed long time back. There are so many villages in North East without roads especially in the border area. I guess it's for security against foreign threat but for how long will this go on.

India is dirty because the thoughts about keeping our area , roads clean is not in the mind of old generations , uneducated people and some some amoung the educated too. But there are also number of people who try their hard to not throw litter here & there, keeping the roads , seats , public toilets clean if it was clean when he/she used.

i) A delicate balance needs to be maintained between the two necessities, one to preserve the sanctity of the civilization of this glorious land and the other to arrest the growing economic disparity of it's people with the rest of the country
ii) You may try hard to become peace loving but your neighbours may not. Let's not forget the lessons of 1962 aggression or that of Kashmir
iii) Economic growth, empowerment and environmental consciousness of indigenous people can only check the marauding people both from inside and outside of the land

This is a factually incorrect statement, the reason NE was not developed by Congress government, was because they anticipated an attack by China on the chicken neck which would cut of NE entirely from rest of India. therefore, Congress thought that by keeping NE absolutely under-developed they are defending NE, because in the event of a war, Chinese progress will be slowed down due to the lack of infrastructure. It had nothing to do with the pristine nature and tribal cultures (although that is true as well). The BJP government on the other hand have been trying to circumvent the defensive problem of NE through a port in Myanmar, and now since NE comes under the Indian nuclear umbrella, they are more confident of being able to defend NE in the event of a Chinese thrust.

Sabyasachi's theory is correct. Till 1997,the NE state governments were required to take approval from the central govt for development of areas around 10 kilometers of the border area adjoining Myanmar. Even today, India ignore or shows indifferent to Myanmar- India relation, to less irritate China, may be we are enough with one Doklam tussle.

Talent is every where... do BTech in computer or BSC then you become Software developer side do some Java course for six months..... For opening IT office needs only big square shape building .... Anyone can become IT person. .... Route is very easy and simple not complicated like doctors. ... If government of any Northeast want .... Invite all IT companies make special area called Electronic city....

Your observation seems a balance between the past government and a stable statment for the present government.
Development should be on the same pace going side by side ie consciously(spiritually) and materially.
A good example is tribals uses leaves for packaging and disposing it was no problem, but as sudden development arrives leaves are replaced by plastic, since most are still consciously underdeveloped subconsciously they see plastic as leaves and dispose it like they did leaves.

Only under modi government we northeastern feel connected to the rest of India. Prior to that we were in the remote areas where was even no landphone(got under Atal ji's leadership)no internet, no transportation.
