- 'Subscriber Scott' and I put out food gathering abilities to the test in a spring fed water creek system as we seek out whatever wild foods are available spring-time including wild edible greens and fish. We cook all the wild food we find during the survival challenge including our fish over fire using some sticks and fry up our wild onions, leeks, or ramps, and fiddle heads, stinging nettle, to round out a very tasty meal. Scott needs a CZcams channel ASAP👍
😂😂😂 just the tip
More videos 👍👍👍
Scott is definitely a good edition to the channel, hopefully he makes it into more videos, fullstop
I would help Scott watch his bobber lol
This is why I love the WoodedBeardsman's channel. He does a wide variety of outdoor/hunting and fishing things. You will never be bored of the same stuff, he does it all. One thing he also does very well is explaining to you and teaching you what he is doing. so it's a fun page to learn from also. Tight lines guy's! Awesome video buddy!
I appreciate that!
Ya like hunting and eating a bear😂
2:30
Scott: just the tip?
TWB: yea, you can eat the whole thing
lol
😂😂
(chuckles)
"I'm in Danger"
Keep Scott around. Need one with him and Jeremy. Full stop all the time
I want to see you and Scott fishing again. Or Scott, Zach, and you fishing, cooking, and eating.
Yeah!
Full stop, more fishing is always welcome. Let’s see more of your bass jig Challenge for trout, I think it would be interesting how well they work. Two 👍🏼for Scott.
We need to get into some bigger trout!
More wild meal videos like this!! Scott is cool. Full stop
Eating "Seagulls" would be supremo!!. And then making Seagulll fried rice the next morning would be awesome with the leftover's. And of course using Seagull egg in the fried rice. And Canadian wild onion's.
Making Seagull head cheese would also be extremely interesting.
hi Chris, Scott seems like a really nice guy, glad you two got together, i just love when you fish for Trout!! be safe, thank you
watching this guy is like watching Bob Ross and Les Stroud at the same time. these videos are great and super relaxing.
Wow, thanks!
Scott excellent work on finding the feral Baking Potatoes! This skill is very over looked by many survivalists!
One must always be prepared....and improvise lol
@@TheWoodedBeardsman I often plant these things when I go out into the wild, it just makes it a bit better. LMBO
Oh good idea Wes!!
Full stop always.... Friends, fishing, food, and fellowship.... great mix .... We need more of this.
I am allergic to stinging nettles, but have found a natural antidote, and it works great. One variety is Jewelweed and grows near water, and the other is called Touch Me Not, and grows in the woods. Crush, and rub on affected area. It takes a while to work, so keep rubbing.
I have a large patch of Ostrich ferns in my yard, and have had two meals of fiddle heads this year.
Nice!
i like this guy being included in the videos he’s real cool
Full Stop and yes, show is some more fishing spots Scott 👌
full stop. Scott's a great guy, would like to see you guys in another Woodbeard vid.
Scott's cool. His willingness to try some studf, fish brains and nettles added to the video. Full stop.
Oh my gosh! Laughs right from the start of this video! Thanks guys!
Scott seems like a pretty cool dude. Great video. I like the catch and cook vids.
Always a good informative video. Thanks Chris
Full stop, I’m enjoying having Scott around. Fun to watch his reactions lol.

Great video. It's great to see Scott back. Nice fish guys.
Full stop my friends! Enjoyed the video. Scott seems cool. Great addition to the team Beardsman.
Stinging nettle is very nutritious! I add it chopped with chopped milk weed leaves all the time with my pastas!
Love the video starting scene! You should do more bloopers. Enjoying the channel from Oregon!
Sorry, that was the only time I ever messed up hahahahah
Oregonian in exile here on the flatlands of Indiana.
Full stop. Cool seeing Scott again.
Those looked like survival potatoes to me.
Full stop awesome vid guys thanks
Full stop. Great job guys. No matter how many times i watch, it's always educational
I would love to see Scott show you his secret fishing holes. Fish over fire is always good, leeks, nettles and fiddleheads look interesting. Full stop. 👍

Full stop, you guys cracked me up. Scotts cool yeah go do more stuff, thanks for the video.
I like the team up with Scott. Full stop
I have never found a large patch of wild leeks. I planted some in my backyard 20 years ago, and only pick the greens. I let them go to seed, and my patch is over twice the size it was.
Full stop. Great video as usual, hopefully you and Scott can do some more fishing together.
Full stop! Good job guys! I would like to see some more of Scott's secret fishing holes. I received my Woodobo seasoning in the mail 2 days ago & I am gonna try it on a mess of whole large fried bluegills this evening. I tasted it & can't wait to season the fish for my family tonight.
This was a really fun watch, would love to see more from Scott! I'm not put off by the potatoes or oil or anything but I would definitely like to see a couple pure survival style videos like this. Especially interesting to me as a fisherman what kind of greens you can get from the forest too!
Full stop. Scott is a fine addition to your channel. More fishing is good, and I enjoyed the collecting of will edibles on this video.
Fiddleheads are like mushrooms, they are all edible. Just some only once
Loving the videos man, keep them up 💯
Fish heads taste very good.. specially fried ones. 🤗🤗🤗
17:27 that was hilarious!
Good video, looks like it was a lot of fun. Keep up the good work.
Interesting & entertaining video! Nicely done.
full stop. Good to see Scott, kudos for trying the brain and eye, it's good to get out of your comfort zone.
Full stop as always. Great work guys
Nice job guys Scott was good addition that meal looked yummy cheers
Haha! Subscriber Scott was digging around the base of the tree and pulled out ... what?! I was expecting something completely different. He pulled out a Plan B. Thinking ahead is true survival. Great video. More vids with Subscriber Scott and fishing. Full stop.
I was really hoping for some cattail, but they were not even up at all!! Glad to have a big fat tuber though.
Yeah m8. I am loving this dude! :D Please do more!
Full stop. And awesome video Scott is a cool guy
Amazing video, I love seeing all the interesting things you come up with. See you in the next video 😊
Great video Chris !
That fish there is some Good Eats !
I love watching and learning to forage for food.
Full stop. Beautiful area.
You should use much smaller worms when fishing for Native brook trout. Nightcrawlers do not work very well.
Ah man, I love putting a big fat one on! The big ones are super aggressive.
@@TheWoodedBeardsman
I guarantee that you will catch more of those native brook trout using small worms than you will with big worms or nightcrawlers. That is why you lost that trout at 6:30 in your video. Those trout grab the worm and immediately run back into cover to eat the worm. If you have a really small worm on your size number 6 hook, you can set the hook as soon as they start running with it because it will fit in their mouth. That fish had part of the worm in it's mouth, but not the hook.
Your video just showed that the fish were eating small mealworms and or maggots. That is what they are used to eating, not large nightcrawlers. I normally like using something bigger than mealworms, but they will also work very well. The best worms to use for brook trout are the small mud worms that you can dig in a garden. I would not use night crawlers for brook trout if you paid me to use them.
You can keep using big fat worms, but I prefer to catch lots of brook trout. Either way good luck out there and keep the videos coming.
Nice foraging. You guys should’ve just set up for overnight camp. Cool cat that Scott. You should take him to meet Jeremy... 😃🍺
Wish we could.
We’re lock down through July out here now Chris. Hilarious. I’m loving it. I’ve been outdoors and spending more time doing what I want since high school. I’m used to working 7 days a week. I finally got most my own things I’ve been putting off done.😃🍺
That's making the most of it!
Gotta be careful being locked down this long though Chris. Might wind up with another kid on the way man🤣🤣🤣
I don’t know why I like watching these videos at night😂
It seems Scott has been accepted! I like. His sense of humor matches yours as well. Keep up the good work Chris
Another awsome video
Full stop loool. 17:57 Magic no no spot lmao. Awesome funny video man. Also camping open tomorrow wooohoooo
Yeah!
Full stop... good times!

It's great to see you back around the campfire again!
Yummy survival foods would love some wild onions make ramps butter would go great over that fish but maybe giant silkworms
Chris, anytime it's possible, take butter in the field with you.
🤭 awesome that you know about the no no square oh god I love this video!
Good video boys. I liked the full meal foraging.... even if a domestic potato was involved. :) I think Scott definitely brings value to the table! The final product looked delicious!
The maggot things in the trouts guts are dragonfly nymphs. Cheers John
Great guy! Always gotta let a little one go. Very Sportsman like!
Always love your videos bro!
Thanks.
"Showed me his secret hole."
