    She really loved Tilly. You could see it in the video. It's really ashame that Tilly was so abused by the time Dawn came along as his trainer, that he was acting out & had already killed 2 people. It's really sad that Dawn ended up being one of his victims. Killer whales are beautiful animals & not meant to be held captive & forced to perform tricks for food. @@vee4554 we all have opinions. Mine maybe unpopular to you but it’s still mine. It’s mind blowing - after your “legend” died doing what she “loved’-I would have thought you and many others could finally see maybe just maybe it’s selfish to make such a huge majestic animal live in a bath tub….. it’s far from impressive - I handle deadly animals daily (I don’t make money off of it!) ( impressive - isn’t ever a term used) I simply want them to have the very best care possible! Humans can’t provide GREAT care for a 6ton Orca!
      Truly as for Dawn, she believed what Seaworld told her. They actually testified in front of a grand jury (regarding her death) stating they had no idea swimming with Orca’s put humans in danger. Hmmm. That’s a lie even for someone that doesn’t understand animal behavior can agree that’s a lie.

      @@vee4554 they also impregnate their females way sooner than what is considered natural…. But yeah the world found out and they stopped. (Or had too-for business) (check out the dive in stock in 2010-2012).
      Next time you watch a session on orca’s in captivity check them choppers. Orca’s in the ocean don’t have wholes in their teeth -Tell me how great of care can be given in bath tubs. They scratch and bite at the paint so much looking for anything stimulating in their boring lives (sorry to say humans - aren’t cutting it) Orca’s found they are able to peel paint and will, to the point of breaking it’s teeth. This is well known. Kosaka and Takar’s mouths are the only Orca’s that don’t have these wholes in captivity to my knowledge. That’s sad.
      Another one for ya “Splash” - the orca in San Francisco. Is died. Due to inhaling the sand needed to “ filter” the tank. Per Seaworld this was malfunction. Another behavior that wouldn’t have even been done in the ocean. But when stuck/trapped anything can happen. People, Techs, orca veterinarians, orca “watchers” nope that process took alot of time for every chamber in the stomach to be filled with sand. None of the names people mine or yours were able to save a healthy animals outside of it’s stressful cues. But Seaworld wouldn’t tell you that.
      Depending what resort you’re at there maybe a veterinarian on site but it didn’t save the whales above! If that makes it ok for your family that cool. No judgement-it’s a dying piece of entertainment get it while you can. I suppose?
      Believe Seaworld had everything to do with getting the first whales in its possession. In a very unethical way. It takes very little research. To find scenes from the day or pictures.
      Peace and Love!

      Tilikum não matou a treinadora porque vivia em cativeiro. Tem nada a ver uma coisa com a outra, amigo. Ele era uma orca que não era treinada pra waterwork, como as outras. Por isso que ninguém tinha permissão para entrar na água com ele.
      Tilikum só interagia com brinquedos na água e era possessivo com eles, por isso qualquer pessoa que caísse no tanque com ele seria arrastada como um brinquedo e eventualmente morreria afogada.
      As outras orcas do SeaWorld nadaram milhares de vezes com seus treinadores e nunca mataram ninguém, justamente porque eram preparadas para isso (waterwork).

    • @EquineMetalhead
      @EquineMetalhead Před rokem

      HE WAS NOT A KILLING MACHINE!!!!!!!! Ok, imagine being a one almost two year old and you get stolen away from your mother, your father and your family and put in a cell to perform. It’s not his fault. Also, at Sealand, they put Tilikum in a 20 feet deep, 30 feet wide and 40 feet long tank with dirty water. They stuck him in there with two older females that he didn’t know. Haida ll and Nookta V were Norwegian killer whales and Tilikum was Icelandic. And the trainers every night would put them in this 12 foot deep, 20 feet wide and 30 feet long module with dirty water and keep them there all night until 7:00 AM. And the only light that came in through that box was from the gate leading out into the show pool. They also had terrible training methods that they’d team Tilikum up with one of the females and have them perform a behavior. And if he didn’t do it right or didn’t do at all, then all the whales were punished, making the females angry with Tili, and when they were put in that module, Haida and Nookta would gang up on him and beat him up. They also gave him a terrible habit of being possessive cause they’d play this game called, ‘keep away’ and basically would take his toys away. And keep in mind that the trainers at Sealand never got in the water with the whales so when Keltie fell in, Tilikum wanted to play and didn’t quite know how powerful he was. And since he was so possessive and thought Keltie was a toy, he took her to the middle of the pool and Haida and Nookta swam around him, acting like a barrier. So her death was an accident. Daniel P. Dukes’s death was his own damn fault because he thought it would be fun to go swimming with a captive killer whale. So he stayed after hours, stripped his clothes and jumped into the water. And he died of hypothermia because the water was so damn cold! Tilikum woke up and saw a dead guy in his pool so he thought Daniel was a toy as well. Then Dawn’s death. It wasn’t Tilikum’s fault, it wasn’t Dawn’s fault, it’s Seaworld’s and her spotters fault. Being in captivity finally got to him, he got angry and took it out on Dawn. And do you want to know why he held onto her body for an extra 45 minutes? Because he was grieving, that’s why. He felt bad about what he had done, these animals are highly intelligent and unlike humans, can recognize another intelligent species. Poor Tilikum’s life went downhill after that, his mate Taima died while giving birth to their fourth calf, he lost his two best friends Kayla and Kalina and the trainers only interacted with him behind a barrier. The only time he was happy was when he was with his kids or grandkids. And in 2017 he died of a lung infection at the age of thirty seven. If he was still in the wild, he would’ve been with his pod and would’ve lived up to his seventies. So don’t blame the damn whale, blame Sealand for making him the way he was, and Seaworld’s spotters for not doing their jobs and paying attention. Have a nice day.
