    You've mentioned deleting power steering. How is it? Would you do it again? Is it ok to drive around the city? Does the streering wheel goes back at the track when you realease it mid corner, or do you have to steer the other way fast with your hands?

    So the vent pipe from the tank is sealed off ? Won't the tank pressurize? Also at inspection the deletion of emission control equipment cause a fail ? I can see no performance gain or loss in this deletion so its just to make the engine bay "pretty".....

    When you said loop the feed and return lines, did you mean the canister line coming from the intake and the line from the gas tank to the canister? (I think you might have to plug the purge valve or you might get a check engine light.)

    • @DriveItRyan
      @DriveItRyan  Před rokem +1

      The intake line just gets capped off so there isn’t a vacuum leak. I looped the line coming from the gas tank (originally going into the canister) to the line that goes into the subframe. No check engine lights 👍

    I’m having trouble filling my NB at the pumps. The pump keeps kicking off. Had the same issue on my truck and it was the solenoid. Hoping this might fix my problem. Any idea if the check engine light will stay on, come on, or go off if I do this on my NB?

    • @mattford4736
      @mattford4736 Před 2 lety

      It does on the 1.8. I advise against removing it for performance reasons. If the PCM thinks that it is sending gas fumes to the cylinders, but it isn't going, then it may send extra fuel to compensate. Then it could run rich.

    • @xninpo
      @xninpo Před 2 lety

      If you have an NA it shouldnt come a Engine light, for the NB models u have to keep the cable for the EVAP Sensor in because exactly then the ECU dont gets this signal and CEL lights up. Thats my knowledge but maybe late NA‘s have this problem too, maybe.

    • @peejaywheeler5945
      @peejaywheeler5945 Před 2 lety +2

      What year do you have Connor? 96MY NAs are OBDII and this need to keep the solenoid to prevent a CEL. I believe you can just loop the lines (without the canister) and keep the solenoid plugged in.

    The charcoal is like a sponge for the vapour when the car is sitting then under vacuum when the car is running the vapour leaves the charcoal and is consumed by the engine.
    Unburnt fuel vapour is terrible for peoples health, that is why it exists.
    You are better off relocating it than removing it completely.
