Isiah Thomas revisits the controversial moment when the Pistons got swept by the Bulls and walked off the court without shaking hands in the final moments of Game 4 of the 1991 Eastern Conference Finals. "Before the Bulls swept us, Jordan had a big press conference where he annihilates our team. The one thing that hit us hard was when he called us 'Undeserving champions,'" says Thomas.

What are your thoughts on the Pistons vs Bulls controversy?
I think it was disrespectful for that team to do that to the Bulls cause the bulls always shakes they hands when they lost, there’s no way around it
But then what Jordan said was disrespectful too. They are already sweeping them he just wanted to keep kicking while they were down to add the icing to the cake.
I love the show but bro. You really Hate the Jordan Bulls lol
Isiah's Piston's turned Jordan into that Killa.

Celtics walked of cos Detroit Pistons were too rough......Detroit Pistons walked off cos they lost.
@@badrobotNG 😂😂 because they were too rough? Celtics soft for that.
@@AnonymousRandomGuy006actually rough is an understatement. Pistons were literally practicing MMA on the court. And this was against a Celtics team that was as tough as nails.

Isiah Thomas is from my hometown CHICAGO, ILLINOIS....ain't nothing weak or coward about Zeke at all!!!
Exactly. Englewood here
Zeke is very tough, but has a few big personality flaws. Petty, cynical, fake
@J Day Jordan is a lot of things, but he is not a fake like Zeke. Don't get me wrong, as a basketball player, Zeke was one of the best to ever do it, but his personality is obvious
You why he is tough? He is answering these questions that has been asked on a regular basis for the last 10 decades. They're trying to bring him down, but all he is doing is collecting sport networks checks and airing his side.
A true rivalry, pure in the purest sense, we don't have to get along, but we do co exist! It's why the 80s stand alone in NBA drama. "McHale and I, Bird , DJ before he passed" are friends to this day = integrity!

The Bulls played that style too just as the rest of the NBA did in the 80s and early 90s. The Celtics created that style. The Pistons mastered it and did it better than anyone else. You take that style and mix it with the best defense and you get the champion Pistons
They didn't think. That was the case

Isiah's point is one only one side the Celtics didn't shake their hand because they said the pistons was playing dirty and trying to injure players so like Jordan said you can't trust a danm thing coming out of isiah mouth

The difference is that all players from the Pistons left before the game was over while 5 players from the Celtics remained on the court and finished the game, the Celtics actually had the last possession of the game. I don’t really blame Jordan for holding a grudge about that all I ask is that he owns it. He did everything he did to Isaiah after the handshake think and hid his hands and he still hides his hands to this day
He owns it. He just doesn't speak openly about it. That's why I have 50% respect for Jordan. He's over rated but doesn't deny the nonsense bs that benefited him.

@@RobinXlone what does that have to do with shaking hands at the end of a game?
@@josephparise1287 so u think someone would shake your hand after u changed up the rules so u can win?

The bottom line is this is a racial overtone to it. The celtics were actually called a dirty team BEFORE the emergence of the Pistons. Documentaries speak of this. The Bucks called them dirty. The Lakers called them dirty. The Sixers called them dirty. These were the major teams during the early/mid 80's, and they were considered dirty. But. Becsuse the star was white, the team was considered "hard working" and "tough players".
I lived through it. I remember it clear as day. The bottom line is Detroit did exactly what a man is supposed to do. Jordan talked about them personally. He called them "bad people". He didn't say "bad players". He made it personal. If a man/team dusts me off, I tske my lumps and shake his hand. BUT, if a man is taking shots outside the scope of the competition and making it personal, then no I have no sportsmanship for him on bit. Jordan didn't know those dudes personally to call them "bad people". So, I see the whining baby as Jordan, not the Pistons. In my eyes, a man talks like that, I have no problem with a man handling it how he sees fit as long as no women or children are involved.
They were nowhere near as dirty as the pistons
Yeah ppl seems to forget that clothesline McHale gave Kurt Rambis which changed the series, he didn't even get a technical foul let alone a ejection.... the hand shake wouldn't have been a issue if it was Charles Barkley or Patrick Ewing dethroning the Pistons
Yes definitely true.
It’s clear as day.
@@austinroccaro2219 see, you justly proved my point by saying "they were no where near as dirty". What does that even mean. Ainge and Hastings were as dirty as they come, but they got called "tough".
