- I literally can spend hoursss at this place! There are so many gorgeous orchids & it's so hard to choose which ones to take home. If you are close by, I highly recommend checking it out. Also I am so sorry for shaky footage, try to ignore it hehe

If anyone's interested, my tried-&-tested method for reviving root-rotten phals is cutting of the dead roots and putting them into a pot w. damp sphagnum, no covering/bags (=mold). You'll probably have to slightly trim the ends and spray them with peroxide 1-3 times, but eventually it'll stabilize and start growing new roots. Worked for the worst of cases 👍
🙏🏼🙏🏼😍Thanks for the tour in paradise!💚🕊☮️🙋🏻♀️
I love to see you enjoy orchids too. There seems to be some sort of division between plant and orchid people in the plant community 🤔. I personally love how challenging many orchids are. My favs are Aerangis, Zygopetalums, laelia bahiensis and sedirea japonica 😁♥️
I collect orchids and will always be my favorite. I got sucked into houseplants and able to collect a lot of anthuriums and philodendrons but nothing beats a cattleya with many inflorescences , just gorgeous . Enjoy your orchids, happy growing.
Maannn they are like potato chips, you can't have just one! Thanks for taking us along 😀
My houseplants have fallen by the wayside in favor of Orchids. Over 160 exotic orchids love them all
Some Cattleyas have an amazing scent. Love orchids. Thanks for taking us along.
Love them orchids! Love the colors wow. I like putting them on trees!
I had just watched your orchid report from a few months ago and was hoping you would post more orchid content soon! I’m so excited to watch you care for these babies!
You did a great job! I love orchids and they are not that difficult to grow and get them to bloom. Thank you for a great show. You captured some orchids I had not seen with different leaves . Thanks!! 🪴🌺
You should make more orchid and carnivorous plants related content! I love seeing your collection 😊
Those orchids are so gorgeous!
Ughhhhh I LOVE ORCHIDS!!!!!! 😫💕 my Phalaenopsis has just started blooming again since last year and I’m so happy! I’m totally adding another to my collection this winter!
Loved this so much! You are so lucky to have such range 😁
I love this video, I've watched it like 10 times now. I honestly would go crazy in that store, whenever I'm confronted by so much choice I always end up buying one of everything and then having a panic attack trying to find space for them all when I get home. Honestly those orchids are stunning!
Love the Phaph you got, it’s so amazing 😀💚🎄
Thank you she’s my lil teddy bear Paph 🧸💕
Wow this is so amazing! Wish I had something like this near me. In Egypt we only have one importer of orchids so they're not always available and the selection is very limited. Thanks for sharing Erika!
I Love the colors wow.it's so hard to choose which ones to take home.
Love your videos!!!
love the wide variety of beautiful orchids . we have only big box stores up here .
Wish we had your varieties in my area. My recent purchase was a phragmipedium and flower looks similar to paphiopedilum. The species orchid schilleriana is my favourite too. Mine is a baby. I would be in awe like you. Merry Christmas Erika. 💚🇨🇦🎄
The silver one you got I was really hoping you were going to get that!!😁 I am gouts try to order it too
You got Burr Nelly Isler in your video. I ordered that one from there in the fall and such beautiful flowers. You are lucky to have so many amazing nurseries so close by.
I love Dendrobium- Zygopetalum orchids .
Beautiful - easy care.
🎋💚🎋I Soooo love this ORCHID video!!! I'm an orchid enthusiast for sure. Each and every orchid type has a little different care. I was pushing you to get "Fuller's Sunset" phalaenopsis. It's a regular bloomer. Lemon yellow 💛 with a magenta 💜 lip.i have a happy dozen. 10 are in spike or bloom. Beautiful 💚🎋💚 Merry Christmas 🎋🎄🎋
I very enjoy how much work you put into these videos. And I'm going to look in to orchids a little bit more. Plus there's an orchid native to Indiana called (Adem and Eve) I don't know why. But it's a rTer interesting plant I you ask me.
They're such a fascinating plant with amazing flowers. I think they're abit more challenging to grow. One's I have now have all been trash bin rescues. I usually repot them but not sure if that's totally necessary to do.
What a breathtaking video! THANK YOU!!! I bought a Phal at a BJS…..about two years ago and it flowered twice! I was so amazed (after the flowers were spent) at how fast the new stem and flowers grew back. I bought it as a “Ya, i’ll give it a try” and I want them all now! After all this time the plant/flowers were so healthy and after I gave it it’s first repot the bottom leaves are yellowing 😢 Do you have any advise? I’m going to check the roots to make sure there’s no rot. Def hooked! I loved loved loved this video! Thank you again
it's true that the leaves on phals aren't exciting, but they are so easy to grow. I grow mine under grow lights (Sunblaster) and they usually bloom twice a year. Plus the aerial roots give my NYC apartment a jungle vibe, the roots are amazing.
I plant some orchids in water- doing well - easy care.
Heaven ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
I have a Schillmann (Bronze Maiden). The underside of the leaves will turn purple with enough light, theyre really beautiful; and the flowers smell like geraniums or roses. also they have all the prices on their website. i used to live by them when i was going to college, probably over half of my collection is from normans.
Ughhh these are all so cuteeeeeeee!!!!! I need to go visit asap!!! I know nothing of orchids tho. Do they need lots of humidity??? I love those tiny ones and the orchids with the cool foliage too!!
Thanks for sharing
I like wierd orchids lol
Thank you ❄
Highly recommend oncidium twinkle orchid for lots of small blooms and small size. Check out Miss Orchid Girl on CZcams for growing care.
I would recommend looking up if there is a community orchid club in your area. You can learn more about Orchids and club members may charge you less for a small division of their plants.
I got a miniature orchid last year and I left the spike on and it’s going to bloom again soon. Maybe I’ll try a slipper orchid next.
Orchid blooms are the only reason winter is good lol
I love ur videos
Thank you!

The best one .
😍
If you're ever in Washingtion State highly recommend going to Emerald City Orchid. He always has uniquely different ones!
I love the ones with small flowers. I want a mini orchid for my office at work but I don’t think it will bloom 😔
Can an outdoor plant be turned into a house plant . .also can it be downsized to a small shrub,as not to take up so much room
Yes
The "Blue" name thing is simple- there are no naturally fully blue orchids (the blue phals are dyed). Its like the ideal all "breeders" are trying to reach and, obviously, sell 😁. Even the famous "blue" Vandas are more purple.
I seeee
Now that you mention it I don’t think I’ve seen any blue they’re all purple 😪
Color blind guys that see purple as BLUE
Do you have the website for that place I really like to order some you did a good job on the video I really enjoyed it
Watching you muddle through my favorite orchid growers greenhouses not having a clue what you're talking about or looking at was hilarious!!
This made me laugh 😂 I just wanna see the pretty flowers 😂
Gee I thought she did okay!
Beginner orchid fan here…. Would love to hear some of your insights!!!
@@kim99356 what kind of things you want to know? Everything depends on your growing conditions and how you can accommodate the plant there. Air circulation is vital for all of them, but water needs, temperatures needed and light required varies for the genus. Do your research before you buy...don't just buy it because it's pretty. Orchids are super slow growing, if you buy them seedling size, it could be 5-7 years, that you have to keep it alive, until you get to see a bloom.
In case you're interested, there are over 61 different orchid channels on CZcams, including the owner of the orchid nursery she toured...Norman's Orchids is the channel name.
You need to go to Andy's orchids next time he has an open house!!! It's pretty far from you (near SD) but so worth it!
I knowwwww 😭 he had one I think last weekend but I couldn’t go! Next time I am def making the drive tho I’m excitedly waiting
@@ErikaLodes giiirrrlll when you do lmk I have shop recs for south county!
How beautiful, where is this nursery located?
Oops I asked before hearing the name of the nursery. Now I know 😊...almost my entire phal collection is from them. I wish you would have shown the tag on one of the first phals you showed that was purple I loved it
