@@justinkairo4988their diesels are better imo but you don't need to replace turbos that much unless you are really really dumb with it. Plenty of Toyota motors use timing belts especially older ones. However you omitted Toyota's twin turbo V6s which needs new turbos from the factory.
So i can just make the engine run with no electronics? That would be great for my swap that i am doing in my 81 Toyota pickup does it straight up work like that like an old cummins 12v or do i need to mode stuff for it to work with no electronics? Also is it safe.

I know nothing about diesels, if you can do that, why not just hook a hot for the starter and exhaust pipe and run the thing in a small pick up, what’s the need for all the computer stuff
Most guys use a land rover 2.5 tdi 11 mill pump you can also use a 4bt cummins VE pump but you have to do alot of pump work to get proper driving characteristics out of it on a 1.9

If i really step on that bitch i will smoke when my diesel is excellent tmperature i smoke a 125hp 130hp 150hp easy till 60mph.. Any day i take em i am starting on egr clean now throttle body cleaning air flow intake cleaning im also looming for upgrades on interior full lesther build i found for 150€ just repair 1 seat.. They both have heater in them sorry bad english.. Mjne has driven around 380.000 km so tuning is a bit risky but im pretty confident the car will hold its ground with stage 1 tuning

Same ASV in my 2002 Leon with 440.000 kms., but two head gaskets blown... Did you blow any head gasket? It seems to be susal in ASV's
